  1. INS:Spiritual Strength and Power through the Father, the Son, and the Spirit
  2.  
  3.    We have peace in this knowledge: 1JOH 4:4 Ye are of God, little
  4. children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you,
  5. than he that is in the world.
  6.  
  7.    ROM 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor
  8. angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things
  9. to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able
  10. to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  12.    First, there are only two types of spirits: 1JOH 4:2 Hereby know ye
  13. the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is
  14. come in the flesh is of God: 1JOH 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth
  15. not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is
  16. that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come;
  17. and even now already is it in the world.

  19.    Spirits of God: Angels HEB 1:13 But to which of the angels said he
  20. at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy
  21. footstool? HEB 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to
  22. minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
  23.  
  24.    Spirits of antichrist: demons, unclean spirits, etc. JOH 10:10 The
  25. thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am
  26. come that they might have life, and that they might have it more
  27. abundantly.

  29.    MAT 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh
  30. through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. MAT 12:44 Then he
  31. saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he
  32. is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. MAT 12:45 Then
  33. goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than
  34. himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that
  35. man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked
  36. generation.

  38.    GAL 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other
  39. gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be
  40. accursed(Str# 331 anathema: to be banned).

  42.    In the New Testament, the word power is translated mostly from two
  43. Greek words: one meaning ability or authority and the other meaning
  44. force.
  45.  
  46.    Our AUTHORITY comes from Jesus and what he has done: He has the
  47. power to judge all things:
  48.  
  49.    JOH 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all
  50. judgment unto the Son:
  51.  
  52.    He has commanding authority over all things: MAT 28:18 And Jesus
  53. came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven
  54. and in earth.
  55.  
  56.    1PET 3:22 Who(Jesus) is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand
  57. of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.
  58.  
  59.    Jesus is above all things, and we are part of Him: EPH 1:22 And hath
  60. put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all
  61. things to the church, EPH 1:23 Which is his body, the fulness of him
  62. that filleth all in all.

  64.    Jesus gives us this authority, too: REV 1:6 And hath made us kings
  65. and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for
  66. ever and ever. Amen.
  67.  
  68.    1COR 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and
  69. if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the
  70. smallest matters? 1COR 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how
  71. much more things that pertain to this life?
  72.  
  73.    LUK 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and
  74. scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by
  75. any means hurt you.
  76.  
  77.    MAT 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of
  78. heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in
  79. heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in
  80. heaven.

  82.    ROM 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors
  83. through him that loved us.
  84.  
  85.    Our POWER or FORCE comes from the Holy Spirit: Jesus used the Holy
  86. Spirit:
  87.  
  88.    MAT 12:28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the
  89. kingdom of God is come unto you.
  90.  
  91.    This power is given to us, too: ACT 1:8 But ye shall receive power,
  92. after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses
  93. unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto
  94. the uttermost part of the earth.
  95.  
  96.    Both the authority and the force work together: LUK 4:36 And they
  97. were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is
  98. this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits,
  99. and they come out.
  100.  
  101.    LUK 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them
  102. power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
  103.  
  104.    REV 12:11 And they overcame him(Satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and
  105. by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the
  106. death.
  107.  
  108.    The blood of the Lamb is the blood shed by Jesus to fulfill the law
  109. and to cover our sins. With this blood-covering on our lives the
  110. accuser cannot touch us. This is the authority that is given us over
  111. the enemy by Jesus.
  112.  
  113.    The testimony of Jesus, which we and our brothers and sisters have,
  114. is the spirit of prophesy according to REV 19:10. In this lies the
  115. power of the word of God, which the Holy Spirit brings to our
  116. remembrance(JOH 14:26). The scriptures are very powerful and important
  117. to spiritual warfare as they are applied by the Holy Spirit. We are
  118. clothed with them and our faith in them is our shield.

  120.    The armor given to us by God for engaging the spirits: EPH 6:13-18
  121. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
  122. withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand
  123. therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the
  124. breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation
  125. of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith,
  126. wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
  127. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is
  128. the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the
  129. Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication
  130. for all saints;

  132.    Being covered with the sanctifying blood of Christ, and wearing our
  133. spiritual armour is by far the most important part for victory in the
  134. many spiritual battles we are involved in every day.
  135.  
  136.    There are at least five scriptural things we can do: REBUKE
  137. (especially with the Word of God):
  138.  
  139.    JUD 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he
  140. disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing
  141. accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
  142.  
  143.    MAT 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to
  144. be tempted of the devil. MAT 4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and
  145. forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. MAT 4:3 And when the tempter
  146. came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these
  147. stones be made bread. MAT 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written,
  148. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth
  149. out of the mouth of God. MAT 4:5 Then the devil taketh him up into the
  150. holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, MAT 4:6 And
  151. saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is
  152. written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their
  153. hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot
  154. against a stone. MAT 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou
  155. shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. MAT 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him
  156. up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of
  157. the world, and the glory of them; MAT 4:9 And saith unto him, All these
  158. things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. MAT
  159. 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is
  160. written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou
  161. serve.

  163.    BIND: MAT 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of
  164. heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in
  165. heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in
  166. heaven.

  168.    MAT 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth
  169. shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall
  170. be loosed in heaven.

  172.    REV 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of
  173. the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. REV 20:2 And he laid
  174. hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan,
  175. and bound him a thousand years,
  176.  
  177.    CAST: MAR 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In
  178. my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
  179.  
  180.    MAT 12:28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the
  181. kingdom of God is come unto you.
  182.  
  183.    REV 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of
  184. the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. REV 20:2 And he laid
  185. hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan,
  186. and bound him a thousand years, REV 20:3 And cast him into the
  187. bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he
  188. should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be
  189. fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

  191.    LUK 10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord,
  192. even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. LUK 10:18 And
  193. he(Jesus) said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
  194.  
  195.    BRUISE and TREAD: GEN 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and
  196. the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head,
  197. and thou shalt bruise his heel.
  198.  
  199.    ROM 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet
  200. shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

  202.    LUK 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and
  203. scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by
  204. any means hurt you. LUK 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that
  205. the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your
  206. names are written in heaven.

  208.    WRESTLE: EPH 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
  209. against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
  210. darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
  211.  
  212.    The key to understanding your spiritual authority: After Jesus had
  213. sent the seventy out to prepare the the places he would come to, they
  214. returned with testimonies of the authority of Jesus's name over all the
  215. devils. And this is what Jesus said unto the Father:
  216.  
  217.    LUK 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank
  218. thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these
  219. things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes:
  220. even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
  221.  
  222.    LUK 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man
  223. knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the
  224. Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
  225.  
  226.    We must not be wise and prudent with God or the understanding that
  227. he gives us. But in our childish love, innocence, and obedience the Son
  228. will reveal aspects of the Father, and the Father's treasures and
  229. power, to us as they are needed.
