  7. "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the
  8. heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die" Ecclesiates 3:1,2
  9.  
  10. In our everyday life, we are continually doing things at a certain time. We
  11. awaken and we also go to sleep at a certain time of the day. We go to work,
  12. and we rush home at a certain time. We eat, watch TV programs, attend a host
  13. of social events, watch the news, we read the paper, and we take care of our
  14. personal grooming all at a certain time each day. Our trains, our planes and
  15. our buses all arrive and depart at a certain time of the day.

  17. TIC - TIC - TIC - TIC - TIC - TIC

  19. Seasons of winter, spring, summer, and fall all come and go according to an
  20. appointed time.
  21.  
  22. Let's take a look at our clock. Beginning at 12 midnight until 12 midnight the
  23. following night is one 24 hour period. We sleep for at least 8 hours, 8 hours
  24. we work; and we eat, socialize, and spend personal time at our home for at
  25. least 8 hours. A full day, time well spent, huh? Plenty of free time on hand
  26. we say.

  30. Well, let's consider the way we use the time that God has allowed us to use to
  31. prepare ourselves to meet Him. "And as it is appointed unto men once to die,
  32. but after this the judgment" Hebrews 9:27. I'm sure that you have heard it
  33. said many times, that in due time we all shall die, but for now let's eat,
  34. drink, and be merry for who knows how much time we have. "And I will say to my
  35. soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat,
  36. drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul
  37. shall be required of thee" Luke 12:19,20.

  39. Just when things are going good, the best times of our lives, then without
  40. warning comes our turn to die.

  42. TIC -- TIC -- TIC - TIC
  43.  
  44. Well that's life, Buddy. "Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full
  45. of trouble" Job 14:1. "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but
  46. as wise. Redeeming the time, because the days are evil" Ephesians 5:15, 16.

  48. So be careful, friend. "Why shouldest thou die before thy time" Eccles. 7:17.

  50. TIC -- TIC -- TIC

  52. Hey listen, God sent His only begotten Son to die so that we may live (whew,
  53. just in time)! If we accept Him as Lord and Savior, when the time for His
  54. return to earth comes, we will indeed rejoice with Him. So right now please
  55. prepare yourself for that time because, "Of that day and hour knoweth no man,
  56. no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" Matt. 24:36. This points out
  57. that God controls the times and seasons. Just trust Him.

  59. Don't be like the five foolish virgins who were not prepared when the
  60. bridegroom came to take them to the wedding. But rather be like the five wise
  61. virgins who were prepared and waiting for that time. "Watch therefore, for ye
  62. know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh" Matthew
  63. 25:13.

  67. You'd better hurry. Make your choice today. Now is the appointed time for full
  68. salvation. Confess your sins, and accept Jesus as your Savior, because
  69. tomorrow "There should be time no longer" Rev. 10:6.

  73. I John 1:8,9 says, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
  74. the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to
  75. forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
  76.  
  77. Acts 16:30, 31 declares, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said,
  78. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
  79.  
  80. Romans 10:8-10, 13 says, "The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy
  81. heart; that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess
  82. with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
  83. raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man
  84. believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto
  85. salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

  87. Don't let "time" run out on you.
