  2.           CHRISTIANS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

  4.      "Please be patient, God isn't finished with me yet."
  5. Believers in Jesus could wear a big yellow sign, "Christian
  6. under construction."
  7.  
  8.      After being "born again", the Christian baby believer
  9. is responsible to FEED on the "milk of the Word" (see I
  10. Peter 2:2 and Hebrews 5:12-14)  and to GROW as a Christian
  11. (see II Peter 3:18).

  13.      God Himself is at work in the lives of Christians, at
  14. times providing "crisis experiences" of grace, but mostly
  15. providing a progressive ongoing growth through the everyday
  16. grind of life.
  17.  
  18.      The apostle Paul wrote to people he loved dearly, "For
  19. I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good
  20. work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."
  21. (Philippians 1:6 NAS)  The phrase "will perfect it" is given
  22. in other versions as "will bring it to completion" or "will
  23. keep on working" until that Day.

  25.      Believers in Christ not only escape the well-deserved
  26. sentence of Hell by God's grace, but it is also entirely in
  27. the power of God's grace that we live our daily lives and
  28. grow as persons toward Christlike maturity.
  29.  
  30.      If you are already a believer in Jesus, and not
  31. committed to the ministry of another Bible-believing church,
  32. we invite you to come grow with us.

  34.      If you are not yet a believer in Jesus, we urge you to
  35. put your trust in Him.  We also invite you to read the
  36. little letter of Paul to the Philippians in the New
  37. Testament.  Most folks could read it out loud in ten
  38. minutes.  It is some of the most tender and personal
  39. material in the Bible, and it speaks of Paul's love for his
  40. friends and his faith in his Savior, even in the worst of
  41. circumstances.  Read it for yourself.
