- KJB:Where is "the Greek Text" by Peter Ruckman
-
- If there is one "heresy" that "Ruckman" teaches that really strikes
- an Alexandrian as "blasphemy," it is the homely and perfectly apparent
- truth that you can use the Authorized English Version to alter "the
- Greek text," often miscalled "THE ORIGINAL GREEK TEXT" by apostate
- Fundamentalists who worship scholarship. This confusion of terms was
- purposely propagated (and originated) by Christian educators for one
- hundred years (see "The Professional Liars" in The Christian's Handbook
- of Biblical Scholarship) to create the illusion that scholars have
- access to the ORIGINALS, while a layman does not. This Nicolaitan
- procedure is still carried out and going on in every classroom of every
- Christian col!ege and university in America. Bob Jones III still talks
- about "THE GREEK TEXT," and so do Curtis Hutson and every Bible
- rejecting Fundamentalist in the Cult.
-
- We all know there is no such thing as "THE GREEK TEXT." There never
- has been. When John wrote his original "Greek text" (90 A.D.) there
- wasn't one Greek text on earth that contained Paul's original of 1
- Thessalonians or Galatians, and if there was it wasn't in any book
- containing "THE GREEK TEXTS" of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and Peter. "THE
- GREEK TEXT," like Santa Claus and the Big Bad Wolf, is stuck in the
- chimney. There are about thirty Greek texts: Mill, Walton, Fell,
- Tischendorf, Griesbach, Semler, Hug, Lachmann, Nestle, Aland, Metzger,
- Erasmus, Colinaeus, Elzevir, Alford, Souter, Beza, etc.). But the term
- is a "historic position" because it suggests, without SAYING it, that
- the ONE ("THE") true Greek text is in the hands of a depraved Bible
- critic who is altering your King James Bible. There are no exceptions
- to this rule: not one.
-
- This explains why people like Kutilek, Hymers, Hudson, Hobbs,
- Horton, Hindson, et al., have such a fit when you suggest that an
- uneducated man CAN correct "the Greek" with the English. Their sudden
- blaze of self-righteous, holy indignation and Fundamentalist zeal to
- protect "the original languages" appears to be sound Christian
- reasoning. The lie has been so firmly implanted in the minds of the
- laymen that they are simply carried away with the "logic" of it when
- the apostate roars, "Blasphemy! Who ever heard of such a thing? Who
- before Ruckman believed such a thing?" "Heresy! Why, think of
- correcting the God-given language of the Holy Spirit with a
- translation!" "Catholicism! This is what Rome did by using the Latin
- instead of going to THE ORIGINAL GREEK!" Und so weiter.
-
- Sounds good, doesn't it? Looks good on paper, doesn't it? Yes, it
- looks so "godly" and "historical" and "fundamental" that these days
- Bible believers, when faced with the issue--FINAL AUTHORITY--sometimes
- quail and withdraw and say, "Well, I believe the Book, BUT l'M NO A
- RUCKMANITE!" Get that! The term has now been narrowed down, after
- pretending that it just meant believing the Book (which it did also),
- to the only real "heresy" the apostate could find; Ruckman teaches the
- AV text is superior to "THE ORIGINAL GREEK"--i.e., a series of
- published Greek New Testaments which give the reader a DEAD LANGUAGE
- that is no longer in use by ninety-nine percent of the world's
- population.
-
- If you will "put your ears on" (CB, c. 1975), I'll show you
- something. I will show you (and I will demonstrate it, not "claim" it,
- or "teach" it) that every one of these backslidden, Iying hypocrites is
- IRRATIONAL, INCONSISTENT AND INSINCERE, and what happened to be a
- perfectly logical reaction of holy indignation to a "heresy" was
- nothing but the temperamental tantrums of a child about to get caught
- in the act of STEALING some cookies out of the cookie jar.
-
- Witness and note here, cases where any uneducated member of the
- Salvation Army in 1890 could have corrected the published Greek texts
- of Westcott, Hort, Tischendorf, Nestle, and Griesbach without batting
- an eye. He should have corrected them with this ENGLISH BIBLE, and
- further, if he did not, he sinned against the Holy Spirit, for eighty
- years later Nestle altered these "original Greek texts" to match the
- text of the King James 1611 English Authorized Version.
-
- A. Luke 24:51,52. If you were stupid enough to go to the "original
- Greek" as your highest and final authority, your last court of appeals,
- you not only would have denied the Deity of Christ and His literal
- ascension, you would have had to renege on your own authority, deny it,
- and reverse field and come back to the English. This is what the head
- of the Bible department at BJU did. After claiming that he had an
- inerrant and infallible GREEK text in his hands which he read "every
- day" and said that he would defend "every word of it," he had to go
- back in 1981 and DENY "the Greek text" because it had not lined up with
- the King James Bible printed 270 years before Nestle wrote a sentence.
-
- Go on, shoot your stupid mouth off; "cut the fool." Bray like a
- jackass or roar like a lion. I gave you a documented fact that could be
- proved in court with print on paper. Custer had to correct his
- "infallible Greek text" with the King James text; he just did it in
- 1981, where anyone with any sense would have corrected "the Greek text"
- in 1890, and again in 1895, 1900, 1905, 1910, 1920, 1930, 1940, 1950,
- 1960, or 1970. Custer was just slow and stupid, like the faculty and
- staff of PCS, BBC, Tennessee Temple and Liberty University. A butterfly
- could kick them in the head and knock their brains out.
-
- B. In Acts 8:33 "the Greek text" (Nestle) read `en te tapeinosei he
- keirantos' for eighty years. Any Bible believer with a King James Bible
- would have corrected this Greek text IMMEDIATELY; he certainly would
- not have waited eighty years for some jackass to get into the harness.
- The AV says, "IN HIS HUMILIATION," but "the Greek text" had no "HIS" in
- it (autou) for eighty years. It was reinserted in 1981. Who were the
- fools who went by "historic positions" with the WRONG READING and then
- had to line it up with the King James eighty years later because they
- had goofed? Philip Schaff, Green, Torrey, Broadus, Robertson, Wuest,
- Machen, and the faculty and staff of every school stupid enough to
- believe in DUAL AUTHORITIES.
-
- C. Mark 1:2. This gross error still remains in "the Greek text" (to
- cite Custer, Neal, and Zodhiates). We correct it with the English,
- naturally. "The Greek" says that the prophet Isaiah spoke Malachi 3:1.
- He did not. Malachi spoke it. In the margin of Nestle's you are told
- that Malachi spoke it. In the "original Greek text" you are told he did
- not. The author of this gross lie was Adamantius Origen (Commentary on
- St. John's Gospel; cited by Burgon, Causes of Corruption in the
- Traditional Text, p. 284). Fortunately, about forty million or more
- Americans and Englishmen had a King James Bible with which to correct
- Origen (200 A.D.), Ireneaus (220 A.D.), Augustine, Nestle, Westcott and
- Hort, the NIV, the NASV, Griesbach, Wuest, the ASV, the RV, and ANY
- Greek text that matched any of them. The "heretic" in 1890 was the
- Fundamentalist who went to "the Greek" as the "final court of appeals"
- and made a liar out of the Holy Spirit.
-
- That is what an Alexandrian calls "BLASPHEMY" when he is faced with
- the truth. Alexandrians cannot deal with truth; it is outside their
- ball park.
-
- Turn the card over. Here is a modern apostate like Donald Waite,
- Curtis Hutson, Hymers, Hudson, Hindson, Hobbs, Horton, or Huckleberry
- Hound, who swears by the "Majority" text or the TR as the "final court
- of appeals." Along with dead orthodox apostates like Melton, Walker,
- Kutilek, Scumner, Dell, Sherman, Combs, and Farstad, he says, "Oh well!
- When WE said `the Greek text' we weren't referring to the Alexandrian
- Greek texts that produced the Bible recommended at BJU (the ASV and
- NASV): we mean "the Received Text." You did? Wanna bet a thousand bucks
- like Hot Dog Hymers did in California and blew his credibility to
- smithereens?
-
- Careful, stupid, you are liable to get someone killed.
-
- Before springing the X-ambush, let me call your attention to two
- "historic positions" for a child of God that take precedence over all
- scholarly mouthings about "original autographs" and "plenary, verbally
- inspired nothings" that don't exist. Two forgotten items: SINCERITY and
- CONSISTENCY.
-
- This means, one: a final absolute authority by which to judge all
- "relative truths" and a constant resorting to that final authority when
- trying to settle issues, disputes, or arguments. This is called
- "consistency." No Alexandrian is consistent. He has multiple
- authorities available to prove anything he wants to prove, according to
- the lusts or inclinations of his own FLESH (Prov. 18:1-4).
-
- SINCERITY: this means that when the Christian cites final authority
- to settle a matter that he actually BELIEVES what he is quoting and is
- not just "using" it. It means that he believes the words he is speaking
- or quoting or reading are the WORDS of God and he is NOT "calling them"
- the words of God (or calling the Book "the word of God") because "for
- all practical purposes" he may "call" it that. You can "call" anything,
- anything. Hitler did; so does the news media twenty-four hours a day.
- He doesn't mean anything he "calls" anything if he doesn't believe it.
- Alexandrians are not sincere and they do not know what the words mean.
- No Alexandrian is SINCERE. He uses your terms to convince you he
- believes what YOU believe and he believes nothing of the kind.
-
- Proof? Watch the wheel of fortune, kiddies. Round and round she goes
- and where she stops God only knows.
-
- D. Curtis Hutson and Bob Jones III (and every preacher that spoke in
- BJU chapel in the last twenty years) has absolutely refused to correct
- the English with "the Greek" in Romans 3:6, unless he stopped in the
- middle of the sermon and said, "The AV is false. The real truth or
- final authority for this verse says, `let it not be.'" If he did not do
- that but simply read the verse as it stood in a King James Bible, he
- made you think he believed something he did not believe. All editions
- of the Receptus and Majority Greek texts say L-VOlTO (me genoito). The
- word "God" is not in ANY Greek manuscript. They all corrected the Greek
- with the English and then called you a "heretic" for doing what they
- did. Of course they did what they did in INSINCERITY. If they were
- really concerned with you getting THE TRUTH (and that is what they
- profess to be engaged in) they would have corrected the English
- immediately so you would not be "misled." They misled you on purpose.
- Absolutely typical.
-
- E. Matthew 27:44. Only two Greek texts show up. One says "oneidizon
- auton"--the Egyptian, Alexandrian text of Rome) and the other says
- "oneidizon auto"--Majority and TR). Nestle refused to list the TR
- reading. "The Greek" or "the Greek text" (or "the original Greek") said
- "they upbraided him" or "reproached him." The English said "They cast
- the same in his teeth." Every time any evangelist on this earth quoted
- Matthew 27:44 (and God knows how many read this verse while preaching
- on the crucifixion) without correcting it, he altered "the Greek text"
- with the English. You say, "Oh well, that is just a case of `dynamic
- equivalence.'" Well, so is "EASTER" in Acts 12:4. What is your problem?
-
- The problem is consistency. They are not consistent. They will
- correct the Greek with the English one time and the English with the
- Greek the next time. They don't believe either. They believe in
- themselves.
-
- F. Matthew 27:1. For fifty years Broadus, Torrey, Carroll, Machen,
- Sumner, Afman, Neal, Custer, English, Charles Fuller, DeHaan, Epp,
- Crawford, Wyrtzen, Rawlings, and Vick corrected ALL of the Greek texts
- with the English. No one called them "Ruckmanites" or "heretics." You
- see, up till 1960 the faculty members of long tenure were SAFE: they no
- longer are. There is no such thing as "SABBATH" (singular) in ANY Greek
- manuscript, and if you found a "verbal, plenary, inspired original"
- that said "SABBATHS" (plural) you would go right on reading "SABBATH"
- (singular) every time you got in the pulpit, if you were consistent. If
- you were inconsistent you would correct "the English" with "the Greek"
- and say "SABBATHS" and then turn right around in 1 Corinthians 2:16
- (hemeis de noun Christou echomen) and read "THE MIND OF CHRIST" when
- you knew not a Greek manuscript on this earth had the article in it.
-
- Dual authorities: Alexandrian Cult.
-
- G. Don't you know that every soul winning evangelist and Bible
- believing preacher in America and Europe has warned new converts about
- the dangers of appearing to be doing something wrong when he was not
- actually doing it? Where did this come from? Well it didn't come from
- "the original Greek text" nor could anyone find it in "the original
- autographs." According to the NASV, NIV, and NKJV, it was totally
- missing from "THE Greek text" as well as "the oldest and best
- manuscripts." It was in AV English in 1 Thessalonians 5:22. Every
- apostate Fundamentalist who took the word "APPEARANCE" and wrote down
- "forms" or "all kinds" or "every kind" or "every form of evil." They
- all allowed you the liberty of APPEARING as a hippy, lesbian, lush,
- pimp, whore, embezzler, thief, extortioner, Bible perverter, adulterer,
- or queer as long as YOU WEREN'T ONE.
-
- Sincerity? What is THAT to an Alexandrian?
-
- Yoo hoo! Hey deah! Does you all knows what "eidous" means, among
- "other things"? Why doesn't you all look at dat deah woad in a
- concoadince? It means "APPEARANCE, shape or fashion." If you had
- corrected the ASV, RV, RSV, NASV, NIV, and NRSVwith the AV on the
- grounds that none of them were better translations of "the Greek text,"
- you would have been right and they would have been wrong. Par for the
- course.
-
- This has been brief. I have forty more up my sleeve. What I have
- shown you here is that these phony "King James Bible Defender
- Pretenders" (Herb Evans's term) are marked by two things, and neither
- has anything to do with scholarship, rationale, logic, faithfulness,
- science, or honesty. They have to do with INSINCERITY and
- INCONSISTENCY. They do not believe what they preach is the word of God,
- whether it comes from Greek or English, and they will reverse field and
- switch authorities every time they get caught "between a rock and a
- hard place."
-
- Don't worry your pretty little head about folks thinking you are a
- "Ruckmanite" if you believe you can correct "the Greek" with the
- English. Everyone does it, everyone always has, and always will, and
- those who profess otherwise will NOT even correct the English with the
- Greek in their public ministries for they would be caught with their
- pants down, and people would find out quickly that their motive in
- doing it had nothing to do with a desire for them to find ABSOLUTE
- TRUTH: it always has to do with getting you to accept THEM as final
- authorities.
-
- There isn't one exception in 1900 years of church history.
-
