  1. WAR:The movie Ghost - not of God!
  2.  
  3.    BACKGROUND...
  4.  
  5.    The Box Office reports that the movie "GHOST" has been the #1
  6. attended movie for the Summer.
  7.  
  8.    It is first a love story. BUT... the major theme of the movie is
  9. about "Life after DEATH", "Spiritualism", and their imposed Doctrines.
  10.  
  11.    The viewer is draw to accepted the realism by presenting a imposter
  12. as a spiritualist. The term "Gift" is present for explaining her real
  13. found abilities to communicate with the dead.
  14.  
  15.    The male lover is murdered by his friend to gain access to a
  16. computer account for laundering drug money. This now "Ghost" begins to
  17. uncover the truth of his death and the story continues until his
  18. murderers die themselves.
  19.  
  20.    Thought out the story the devotion & love for his living mate is
  21. supported by a "hidden" theme that God [ who is represented as "LIGHT"
  22. ] has allowed the Ghost to stay until he has properly protected his
  23. lover from the bad guys.... [ through his new found abilities to move
  24. objects in the spiritual realm & communicating thought a spiritualist. ]
  25.  
  26.    The viewer is almost ministered to by presenting believable "Life
  27. after DEATH" fantasies. Other ghost are encounter and the beginnings of
  28. a "spirit" world comes into focus. It's almost like a learning
  29. experience.
  30.  
  31.    A "DEEPER" Look....
  32.  
  33.    The experience of people dyeing was well done from the stand point
  34. of presenting "GOOD" and "EVIL". When a good person died; there was the
  35. presents of a bright beautiful light. Together with an identifying
  36. background music... God was present and acceptance was assumed - but
  37. sure. In all cases, ...other then our ghost, they were received into
  38. the light and taken "upwards". For those who were evil, there were
  39. identifying evil noises and the appearance of black robbed figures
  40. coming up from the ground. The dead spirit had little chance to escape
  41. there powers. They were then pulled down into the ground - fighting and
  42. screaming with great fear. Hell was there apparent destination.
  43.  
  44.    The viewer has now the movies standard for "Good" & "Evil". If you
  45. are accepted by the light - then you are on the GOOD side. If the black
  46. robbed demon like figures, come for you; then you are EVIL.
  47.  
  48.    Most important here is that the spiritualist is presented as a
  49. "helper" of the GOOD. The conclusions are that her "Gifts" are from God
  50. - even though at first she was a fake - and what she is and what she
  51. does - God also accepts.
  52.  
  53.    COMMENTS: The film "GHOST" present a Non-Biblical conclusion to what
  54. God's "WORD" says is GOOD and EVIL. BUT... the greater ERROR is that
  55. God accepts & ministered GOOD through spiritualism.

  57.    "Life after DEATH"...
  58.  
  59.    The film "Ghost" places the conclusion that there is life after
  60. death. On the GOOD side, there is a definite understanding that when a
  61. man dies, there is a departing from the body. But in the film, there is
  62. the conclusion that men's spirit are lingering here on earth - either
  63. for some purpose approved by God, or as evidence of another possible
  64. "Spiritual" world.
  65.  
  66.    Two deductions could be drawn from the present of these spirit in
  67. the film. During seances, the ghosts [which appeared on screen as
  68. normally dressed people] show no after death purpose. It was as if
  69. there only concern was to contact the living. The second deduction was
  70. that they had the ability to enter peoples bodies. The spiritualist
  71. offered her body to the "Ghost" to have just moment of life with his
  72. lover. So the implication is that when someone is possessed - it's a
  73. dead man's spirit that takes over the body, not demons. [Evil spirits]
  74.  
  75.    COMMENTS: The film "GHOST"presents a Non-Biblical conclusion about
  76. "Life after DEATH". The absence of Judgement right after death is vague
  77. - were scriptural is very clear... " And as it is appointed unto men
  78. once to die, but after this the judgment: [Hebrews 9:27] There is an
  79. unwritten conclusion that it's dead mens spirits that have the ability
  80. to possess a living body. The results of such leave "demons" out of the
  81. picture.

  83.    "Spiritualism"....
  84.  
  85.    There is no question that the film "GHOST" leaves the viewer
  86. accepting the realism of contacting the dead. The counterfeit is very
  87. well exposed for it trickery and schemes - but by doing so; belief is
  88. promoted that there just may be someone able to make contact with the
  89. dead - in real life.
  90.  
  91.    Although not mention, the "GOOD WITCH" concept is there. In a number
  92. of scenes the use of the name "Jesus" is used as the reference to God.
  93. The religious background to God as the one who approves and works
  94. through a "Gift" is believable. After all - He [God] would only do GOOD!
  95.  
  96.    This theme that God supports the use of spiritualism to help work
  97. out the end results of GOOD - has it's strong suggestion to the viewer.
  98. There is almost a "HOPE" left in the mind - that if one could just find
  99. a "real" spiritualist - & contact a love one who has died - GOD WOULD
  100. APPROVE!
  101.  
  102.    COMMENTS: The film "GHOST" promotes spiritualism as a vessel of
  103. GOOD. There is an appetite to investigate realism. The viewer is
  104. overwhelmed by the "so acceptable" spiritual world; that there must be
  105. some "TRUTH" to what has been presented in real life.
  106.  
  107.    Surmising gathered are far from the "TRUTH". God's ways are
  108. exchanged for what the Bible calls "ABOMINATIONS"!
  109.  
  110.    GOD'S "TRUTH"...
  111.  
  112.    * About SPIRITUALISM:
  113.  
  114.    "...LEV 20:6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar
  115. spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set
  116. my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people."
  117.  
  118.    * About "Life after DEATH":
  119.  
  120.    "...HEB 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after
  121. this the judgment: "
  122.  
  123.    "...2CO 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of
  124. Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body,
  125. according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. "
  126.  
  127.    "...ECC 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and
  128. the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."

  130.    * About "JUDGEMENT & Life after DEATH":

  132.    "...ROM 2:6-11 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
  133. [7] To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory &
  134. honour and immortality, ETERNAL LIFE: [8] But unto them that are
  135. contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness,
  136. indignation & wrath,[9] Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man
  137. that doeth evil, of the Jew first, & also of the Gentile; [10] But
  138. glory, honour, & peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew
  139. first, and also to the Gentile: [11] For there is NO RESPECT OF PERSONS
  140. with God.

  142.    * MORE "About Spiritualism"...

  144.    "...LEV 19:31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither
  145. seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God."
  146.  
  147.    "...LEV 20:27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or
  148. that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them
  149. with stones..." Christian "Witnessing" COMMENTS...

  151.    The Movie "GHOST" is NOT FROM GOD! Therefore, we can only assume
  152. that it is from some other wisdom. In James Chapter "3", the "WORD"
  153. specks about four types of "WISDOM". One from the "WORLD"; one from
  154. "MAN" [sensual]; one from "DEVIL" and one from "GOD". If it's NOT God's
  155. wisdom, then the result are eminent...

  157.    CONFUSION AND EVERY "EVIL" WORK....

  159.    "...JAM 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly,
  160. sensual, devilish. [16] For where envying and strife is, there is
  161. confusion and every evil work. "

  163.    Christian "Witnessing" COMMENTS...
  164.  
  165.    The Movie "GHOST" is NOT FROM GOD! Therefore, we can only assume
  166. that it is from some other wisdom. In James Chapter "3", the "WORD"
  167. specks about four types of "WISDOM". One from the "WORLD"; one from
  168. "MAN" [sensual]; one from "DEVIL" and one from "GOD". If it's NOT God's
  169. wisdom, then the result are eminent...

  177.    The Word tells us that Satan comes as an "Angel" of LIGHT" [or
  178. "WISDOM".] The Bible says that the "TRUTH" will set you FREE. This
  179. attach must be fought with God's Truth - THE WORD.

  181.    "HOW" To Witness.....
  182.  
  183.    The following suggestion are just a few areas which we can "revenge"
  184. Satan's plan. [2 Cor. 7:11]
  185.  
  186.    *** D E A T H ***
  187.  
  188.    The "FEAR of DEATH" is real to a person who is not saved. It is here
  189. that the battle for a person "SOUL" can be won. A person may never say
  190. that they "FEAR DEATH" but they do...
  191.  
  192.    HEB 2:14-15 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh
  193. and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through
  194. death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the
  195. devil; [15] And deliver them who through fear of death were all their
  196. lifetime subject to bondage.
  197.  
  198.    CHRIST GIVES "LIFE" AFTER DEATH: Only "GOD'S WORD" offers assurance
  199. that there is "LIFE" after death through Jesus Christ. The assurance
  200. came when God "RAISE" Him from the dead...
  201.  
  202.    ACT 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will
  203. judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained;
  204. whereof he hath " given assurance" unto ALL men, in that he hath RAISED
  205. HIM FROM THE DEAD.

  207.    So God has shown that "HE HAS" raised the "JESUS" [the Son of Man]
  208. from the dead... and then promises...
  209.  
  210.    JOH 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word,
  211. and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not
  212. come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
  213.  
  214.    *** J U D G E M E N T ***
  215.  
  216.    Proper understanding of "GOD"S JUDGEMENT" for man from the "WORD" of
  217. God will lead a "SOUL" into the arms of mercy. Yet, in this movie,
  218. there is a misconception of God's LOVE and JUDGEMENT.
  219.  
  220.    To retaliate the wrong presented; there is the need to qualify when
  221. JUDGEMENT will occur. Again, God's "WORD" can clear the air of wrong
  222. perceptions...
  223.  
  224.    * FIRST: When does JUDGEMENT happen? The importance of this question
  225. answered is that the movie presents a "lingering" of "MEN'S SPIRITS"
  226. after death. But the WORD says differently!
  227.  
  228.    Right after DEATH is "JUDGEMENT"....
  229.  
  230.    HEB 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this
  231. the judgment:
  232.  
  233.    * SECONDLY: What happens at DEATH? JUDGEMENT happens right at DEATH
  234. and again the movie tends to stress that there are those who linger;
  235. but God's "WORD" shows that the "SPIRIT" of a man returns to God and
  236. the body to dust. [or the ground]...
  237.  
  238.    ECC 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the
  239. spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
  240.  
  241.    THE QUESTION HERE: Are you ready to "FACE" God at Judgement? In the
  242. movie, the viewer is given the idea that "EARTHLY" things left can be
  243. worked out - EVEN AFTER DEATH! But the "TRUTH" from God's "WORD" is
  244. that we can NOT do anything for God after death; and we are to make our
  245. "AFTER DEATH" [Eternal] decisions NOW!
  246.  
  247.    PSA 30:9 What profit is there in my blood [LIFE], when I go down to
  248. the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
  249.  
  250.    Just as there is "NO PROFIT" after DEATH to do anything for God;
  251. it's here on "EARTH" while we are alive in the body that we can choose
  252. "LIFE" with God or "DEATH" -Eternally...
  253.  
  254.    DEU 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you,
  255. that I have set before you life & death, blessing $ cursing: therefore
  256. choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

  258.    *** S I N ***
  259.  
  260.    As we made mention in our review of the movie "GHOST" - The defined
  261. terms for what is "GOOD and EVIL" were NOT God's thoughts on the
  262. subject. The approval of a "SPIRITUALIST" working along side of "GOOD"
  263. & receiving the "OK" from God distorted what real "SIN" is in God's
  264. sight.
  265.  
  266.    DEFINING SIN FROM THE BIBLE: The best approach is to give a Biblical
  267. definition of SIN.
  268.  
  269.    * ALL WRONG IS SIN: The word "WRONG" might be better than the
  270. Biblical word "UNRIGHTEOUSNESS"; because a person already has with-in
  271. them - areas which they know are wrong. But the attention is NOT on the
  272. MAN... but what GOD thinks is SIN.

  274.    So... the question must be asked... "WOULD GOD CONSIDER [say] IT WAS
  275. WRONG?"
  276.  
  277.    God's WORD says that:
  278.  
  279.    "All unrighteousness is sin" [1JOHN 5:17]
  280.  
  281.    Not being "RIGHT" in God's sight brings us to "ACCEPTANCE" or
  282. "REJECTION" by God. The results of "SIN" are clear in the Bible..
  283.  
  284.    ROM 6:23 For the wages of "SIN" is death; but the gift of God is
  285. eternal life through "Jesus Christ" our Lord.
  286.  
  287.    * TWO TYPES OF "SIN": There are two different categories of "SIN"
  288. which we can see in the Bible:
  289.  
  290.    FIRST: The SIN of "COMMISSION"...
  291.  
  292.    "... for sin is the transgression of the law," i.e. any act of
  293. disobedience to god's revealed will." [1 JOHN 3:4]
  294.  
  295.    SECONDLY: The SIN of "OMISSION"...
  296.  
  297.    "... Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to
  298. him it is sin." [JAMES 4:17]
  299.  
  300.    *** A C C E P T A N C E ***
  301.  
  302.    Knowing what SIN is in the sight of God can now define if one would
  303. or would "NOT" be accepted when "FACING" God at JUDGEMENT. The Bible
  304. can also direct the answer to this question ...
  305.  
  306.    ROM 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
  307.  
  308.    ROM 3:10-12 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
  309. [11] There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after
  310. God. [12] They are all gone out of the way, they are together become
  311. unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

  313.    Why not try a "SURVEY"...
  314.  
  315.    A "SURVEY" can open the door to conversation. Results of the SURVEY
  316. could be presented by mail to interested persons. Mailings could
  317. include tracks, invitation to meetings, or a follow-up with Biblical
  318. reference.

  320.    *** Suggesting some QUESTIONS:

  322.    [1] Did you see the MOVIE "GHOST"? YES___ NO___

  324.    [If NOT - share briefly the movie story]

  326.    [2] Do you believe in "LIFE after DEATH? YES___ NO___

  328.    [3] Do you believe you can do anything about past LIFE on earth
  329. after DEATH? YES___ NO___

  331.    [4] Do you believe that a "SPIRITUALIST" is of GOD? YES___ NO___
  332.  
  333.    [5] DO you believe that you will "FACT" God after DEATH. YES___ NO___
  334.  
  335.    [6] Does GOD approve of talking with the DEAD? YES___ NO___

  337.    Other "COMMENTS"...
  338.  
  339.    ** As a Christian... is it necessary to see the file "GHOST" in
  340. order to witness??? I recommend NOT TO SEE THE FILM!
  341.  
  342.    The information provided here is enough to discuss with any "SOUL"
  343. their thoughts on the subjects presented in the film.
  344.  
  345.    One of the reasons I suggest not seeing the film is that it is a "R"
  346. rated film and has other "DEFILEMENTS" such as "LANGUAGE" and "NUDITY".
  347. There is no Christian edification in the film.
  348.  
  349.    ** The question comes that by using such a SURVEY will we "tempt" a
  350. person to go and see the film. I don't think that we would be
  351. responsible for the temptation.. BUT we sure would be "AVAILABLE" to
  352. talk with those who did.. if as an after thought they went and saw the
  353. film and had questions.

  355.    ** I'm personally not in the practice of going to the movies. The
  356. Lord has taken me out of that "LIFE" style. But I've notice, that a
  357. number of Christians have been lowing their standards in this area.
  358. I've review a few "G" rated films and "GP" films.... only to find that
  359. "WITCHCRAFT", "CURSING", & "NUDITY" are more & more coming into this
  360. type of entertainment.

  362.    MORE and MORE Christian are accepting their messages. There is no
  363. "VOICE" specking up against their "DEFILEMENT".
  364.  
  365.    PLUS... the Movie Industry has it's "GOSPEL"... which is not being
  366. challenged. Well... I do so in these writings and HOPE and PRAY others
  367. will go forward to bring down the enemy & his plans.
  368.  
  369.    May God use this information to do just that through His BODY here
  370. on earth.
