  3.    Do I Believe that satan exists? Yup! Why he calls S.O.N. BBS, leaves
  4. me messages and mail about once a week!

  6.    The Bible describes satan's nature and his power
  7.  
  8. 1. Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14) 
  9. 2. "The devil sinneth from the beginning" (1 John 3:8) Satan "was a 
  10.   murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there 
  11.   is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for 
  12.   he is a liar, and the father if it" (John 8:44) 
  13. 3. "In the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to 
  14.   seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils" (1 Timothy 4:1) 
  15. 4. "The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe 
  16.   not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image 
  17.   of God, should shine unto them" (2 Corinthians 4:4) 
  18. 5. Demons may leave and later return to a person (Matthew 12:43-45). 
  19. 6. Satan may take away the Word that has been sown in people's hearts if 
  20.   they don't believe it (Matthew 13:19).
  21. 7. The powers of darkness fight against the saints (Ephesians 6:12) 
  22. 8. The devils believe in God and tremble (James 2:19) 
  23. 9. The satan accuses us before God day and night (Revelation 12:10) 
  24. 10. The devil has taken people captive at his will (2 Timothy 2:26) 
  25. 11. The devil *had* the power of death (Hebrews 2:14) 
  26. 12. Satan hindered Paul from going to the Thessalonians (Thess. 2:18) 
  27. 13. The devil disputed with Michael the archangel about the body of Moses
  28.   (Jude vs. 9)
  29.  
  30.    But, the FINAL OUTCOME doesn't look to bright for satan:

  32. 1. Lucifer shall "be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit" (Isaiah 
  33.   14:15) 
  34. 2. Satan and his angels will battle Michael and his angels. Satan and his
  35.   angels will be defeated and cast out of heaven to the earth. (Revelation 
  36.   12:7-10) 
  37. 3. Spirits of devils will perform miracles to bring the nations to war. 
  38.   (Revelation 16:13&14) 
  39. 4. Satan will be cast into the bottomless pit for 1000 years (Revelation
  40.   20:1-3). 
  41. 5. Satan will be released upon the earth after 1000 years, but will 
  42.   finally be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:7-10). 
  43. 6. Satan and his false prophet will be tormented day and night forever
  44.   (Revelation 20:10)
  45.  
  46.    And of course the Bible also describes the Greater Power.

  48.    1. "...For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might
  49. destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8b).
  50.  
  51.    2. "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor ANGELS,
  52. nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
  53. nor height, nor depth, nor ANY OTHER CREATURE, shall be able to
  54. separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  55. (Romans 8:38-39).

  57.    yea....I'd say he's out there, but I'm too busy listening to Jesus
  58. Christ than to take time to listen to him. Some people make a habit of
  59. 'rebuking the devil' all day long, which is really pointless because
  60. he's just gonna keep it up anyways. (But by so doing, he has managed to
  61. keep the persons attention focused on himself [satan] instead of Jesus
  62. Christ.
