CUL:The other jesus of the Cults

   II Corinthians 11:4 Matthew 24:4,5,11 CULTS

   1. Defined: A group that follows a particular teaching or behavior
practice.

   2. Non-Christian Cult defined: a. Adherence to MAJOR doctrines which
are pointedly contradictory to orthodox Christianity, while claiming
origins or harmony with Christianity. b. Always built, not on what the
Bible teaches, but upon what the FOUNDER(S) of the cult said the Bible
teaches and thrives on ignorance and uncertainity. c. Use Bible
quotations out of context. (The Bible says it is OK to disobey God -
but the one in the Bible saying that is SATAN!)

   HOW DO YOU IDENTIFY THEM?

   1. ONLY TRUE CHURCH a. "Do you represent the ONLY true church?" "Is
yours the ONLY true Church?" b. If "Truth is Everywhere and ALL
religions seek after truth!" c. If YES or they are EVASIVE - then WATCH
OUT!

   2. SHEEP STEALING a. Whom do they seek to convert? Do you see them
on skid row or with the natives of Java or do you find them in
established religious areas populated with Baptist or any other
Christian members? If Not, then they are proslytizing and the Bible
condemns this practice.

   3. MORE THAN THE BIBLE REVELATIONS AND/OR SCRIPTURES a. THE BIBLE
(God's INFALLIBLE Word to Mankind) has withstood the test of time and
persecution and is the MOST Anti-Cult Manual you will ever find.

   [Kingdom of the Cults, Rise of the Cults, The New Cults, Where Does
it Say That?, and others] b. The Leaders (Prophets) claim SECRET divine
knowledge given ONLY to them and use this to drum up support as well as
using an additional source for "better clarification of their beliefs.

   4. THINKING HAS ALL BEEN DONE a. "When our Leaders (Prophets, Guru,
"True Parents") propose a plan, when our leaders speak, the thinking
has been done." There is no room to disagree or to "TEST ALL THINGS -
HOLD FAST TO THAT WHICH IS TRUE. b. Extremes: JONESTOWN, MOONIES, or
LOCAL CHURCH These "Divine" Leaders allowed no contention with their
teachings and required that all did EXACTLY as told because "they were
spokesmen for God". Brigham Young taught that the Sun was populated by
people like ourselves! c. There is no such thingas a Mormon or a Moonie
that "doesn't believe such and such" or a Krishna that does not sell
flowers or a Jehovah's Witness that does not sell the Watchtower! It is
required of these groups to believe ALL and to do ALL that is
instructed from the leadership.

   5. SALVATION BY GRACE ..... AND ...... A. Mormons - WORKS, APPROVAL
BY JOSEPH SMITH,Jr(Eph 3:8-12) B. ARMSTRONG - Law of Moses (Acts 15:1)
C. Jehovah's Witnesses - ATTEND ALL MEETINGS, SELL MAGAZINES (Awake,
Watchtower etc) [Romans 11:6 and Ephesians 2:8-10]

   6. THE SIZZLE OR THE ATTRACTION TO "SELL" A. Cults appeal to
"reason" and "rationality" 1. Hell is "unreasonable" 2. Eternal
Punishment is "irrational" 3. Conciousness after death is "pagan" B.
Cults prosper in direct ratio to the fluctuating emphasis which the
Christian Church has placed on the teaching of Biblical doctrines to
Christian Laymen. SPIRITUAL PRETZELS doctrines to Christian Laymen.

   7. HOPSCOTCH THROUGH THE BIBLE A. Satan is THE MASTER of this
technique (Matthew 4:6) reference to the "OK to disobey God" Looking
for guidance and you get "Judas Hanged Himself" and "Go now, and do
likewise"!!!! B. Don't get trapped. Look at the verses above and below
the quoted verses and acertain (1) the actual meaning of the verse and
(2) who is saying the verse and (3) why is the verse being said.

   8. ANOTHER LANGUAGE or "What do you mean, what do I mean?" A.
Watergate and Jeb Stuart Magruder with $20,000.00-Not a BRIBE ---- just
a "MEANS" to an end. B. To a Jehovah's Witness, CHRIST is a man who
died and is forever dead; but somehow returned to heaven as MICHAEL THE
ARCHANGEL C. To a Mormon, GOSPEL means Mormonism and its Doctrines D.
To a Christian Scientist, ATONEMENT means AT-ONE-MENT with God E. To
the Science of Mind, SALVATION is when you finally realize that ALL IS
MIND

   9. "ANOTHER jesus" A. See Below. 10. FINAL AND 'SADDEST' OF ALL
TRAITS A.The saddest of all the traits that can signal a CULT is the
very fact that they are AT YOUR DOOR with their OTHER JESUS or
doctrines. The "unpaid bills of the Church is "Cult" growth. There are
many persons who join the "cults" only because the "cultist" CARES I.
OUR JESUS A. Conceived by the Holy Ghost and is Son of God Matthew 1:18
and Isaiah 7:14 B. Manifest in Flesh I Timothy 3:16 & John 1:14 C. God
manifested to Mankind John 1:18 D. Son of God and ONLY son of God
Romans 1:4 & John 3:16 E. Provided FULL payment for the SINS OF THE
WORLD and Hebrews 10:12 through 14 John 3:36 F. Was resurrected in BODY
and not in spirit. John 2:21 & 20:25,26 then Luke 24:39-44 In short,
the major features of our Jesus are: I. Conceived by the Holy Ghost and
Son of God. II. God the Son of the Holy Trinity III. Total and FULL
payment for sins even though He was Sinless

   II."THEIR" Jesus - MORMONISM'S

   I. "When the virgin Mary conceived the child Jesus, the Father had
begotten Him in His own likeness. He was not begotten by the Holy
Ghost. And who was the Father? He was the First of the Human Family!

firstborn, the Saviour, should come into the world and take a
tabernacle (body) the Father came Himself and favoured that Spirit with
a tabernacle instead of letting any other man do it.." BRIGHAM YOUNG,

   II. "It is true that the earth was organized by three distinct
characters, namely, Eloheim, Yahova and Michael these three forming a
Quorum, as in all heavenly bodies, and in organizing element, perfectly
represented in the Deity, as Father, Son and Holy Ghost. ......... "The
heads of the Gods appointed one God for us; and when you take [that]
view of the subject, it sets you free" JOSEPH SMITH,Jr., History of the

   III. "There is not a man or a woman, who violates the covenants made
with their God, that will not be required to pay the debt. The Blood of
Christ will never wipe that out your own blood must atone for it"
BRIGHAM YOUNG, Journal of Discourses, 1:108 "There are sins that men
commit for which they cannot receive forgiveness in this world or in
that which is to come, and if they had heir eyes opened to see their
true condition, they would be perfectly willing to have their blood
spilt upon the ground ..." BRIGHAM YOUNG, Journal of Discourses, 4:53

   DOCTRINE OF BLOOD ATONEMENT "No man or woman in this dispensation
will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent
of Joseph Smith ...." (Many, many references from numerous sources)

   JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES

   I. "The true Scriptures speak of God's Son, the Word, as 'a god'. He
is a 'mighty God' but not the Almighty God, who is Jehovah."
[Multi-Gods] THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE, pg 47 "In other words, He
was the first and direct creation of Jehovah God". THE KINGDOM IS AT
HAND, pg 46,47,49 "Michael, the archangel, is no other than the only
begotten Son of God, now Jesus Christ." NEW HEAVENS AND NEW EARTH, pg 30

   II. "The obvious conclusion is that Satan is the originator of the
trinity doctrine" LET GOD BE TRUE,pg 101 "He showed His subjection to
God by humbling himself to a most disgraceful death on the torture
stake" LET GOD BE TRUE, pg 35 "Christ was not raised in flesh, but with

   III. "His perfect human life with all its rights and prospects, was
laid down in death, but not for sin and in punishment." LET GOD BE
TRUE, pg 116 "Thus, makes possible general resurrection for mankind

   CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

   I. "Jesus is the human man and Christ is the divine idea.." SCIENCE
& HEALTH WITH KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES, 473:15,16 "If there had never
existed such a person as the Galilean Prophet, would make no difference
to me." FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST SCIENTIST & MISC., pg 318,319

   II. "Resurrection is Spiritualization of thought." SCIENCE AND
HEALTH WITH KEY TO SCRIPTURES, 593:9

   III. Atonement redefined "AT-ONE-MENT" "One sacrifice, however
great, is insufficient to pay the debt of sin". SCIENCE AND HEALTH WITH
KEY TO SCRIPTURES, 23:3-4 "The way to escape the misery of sin is to
cease sinning. There is no other way." SCIENCE AND HEALTH WITH KEY TO

   WORLDWIDE CHURCH OF GOD - ARMSTRONG

   I. "God is a family, a kingdom, not a limited trinity" THE PLAIN

   II. "Jesus Christ was born a Son of God by resurrection from the
dead ... and as a born Son of God, Christ is God! God Almighty, His
Father is God. They are two separate and individual persons." WHY WERE

PREDESTINATION - DOES THE BIBLE TEACH IT?

   UNIFICATION CHURCH Began by Sun Myung Moon (name given by himself
which means "Shining Sun and Moon". Born in Kwangiu Sangari (North
Korea) 1/6/1920. Has the belief of THREE SETS OF ADAM AND EVE. [DIVINE
PRINCIPLE]

   I. "Jesus was born a man - not a man god ... Although Jesus was the
first man to be obedient to God, a number of failures marred His
mission." A. The Three Wise Men were to rear Jesus until he took a
bride, but they failed to do so. B. John the Baptist failed because he
did not recognize Jesus as the Saviour; and C. Jesus (the Second Adam)
was not successful in His revolutionary mission to unify all religions
and cultures; and D. Israel rejected and murdered Him on the cross
before he was able to find the second Eve and begin the physical
restoration of the Human Race."

   II. "Jesus did not come to die on the cross and His crucifixion was
against the Will of God"

   III. "Jesus was an imperfect image of God who with the Holy Spirit
brought about spiritual but not physicalsalvation. When Jesus saw He
would not accomplish His mission, He began to preach about His second
advent. Jesus' resurrection was spiritual, not bodily and He did not
ascend to the Heavenly kingdom but instead waits in Paradise until
another completes His unfinished task of bringing the Kingdom to Earth.
A Third ADAM and a third EVE (no mention of the 2nd EVE) must now come
to bring physical salvation. This third ADAM is the Lord of the Second
Advent" Moon is very vague on the EXACT identity of this Lord of the
Second Advent, but has provided many "hints" as to who that person
really is: 1. He and His wife are the Parents of a New Humanity. Moon
requires his followers to refer to him and his wife as TRUE PARENTS" 2.
By a convoluted method of combining numerology and eisegesis" or the
"reading a concept INTO the Bible", Moon has calculated that the Lord
of the Second Advent was born in 1920 and in North Korea Moon uses a
travesty in interpretation of Scripture to explain why he did not come
in Power and Glory.

   SPIRITUALISM defined The science, philosophy and religion of
continuous life, based upon the demonstrated fact of communication, by
means of mediumship, with those who live by the Spirit World.

   I. "The doctrine of the Trinity seems to have no adherents in
advanced circles of the Spirit World. The Divinity of Christ as
co-equal with the Father is universally denied." ....... "The
miraculous conception of Christ is merely a fabulous tale"

affirm the moral responsibility of the individual, and that he makes
his own happiness or unhappiness as he obey's or disobey's NATURE'S
physical and spiritual laws" .... "Man becomes a spirit after death,
doing both evil and good, but he may be saved as he progresses from one
spirit level to the next. We affirm that the doorway to reformation is
never closed against any human soul, here or hereafter." DECLARATION OF
PRINCIPLES Numbers 7 & 8

   MYSTICISM Current units found in America: 1. Bahalism Persian
Islamic that "feels ALL ways are of God, but Bahal has the truth for
this age" 2. Divine Light Mission Guru Maharaji Ji claims to be the
Perfect Master, the Lord of the Universe, who has come to uncover the
light of knowledge which is within the disciple himself. 3. Krishna
Consciousness Devotion to the Hindu God (Out of over 2 million gods to
select from) Krishna. Last few years, the movement has come to have
"Merry Krishna" and legends of crucifixion of Krishna, etc. 4. TM-
Transcendental Meditation Claims to be non-religious but has been
proven to be Hindu and uncovered to rely solely on the God of darkness
and the teacher of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the present leader who claims
that his teacher was a god.

   Mandatory initiation rites for TM requires the person to recite a
SANSKRIT chant. These have been translated as "bowing down" to various
gods of the Hindu Pantheon and and address of submission to the wills
of Lord Narayana, Brahma the CREATOR. Each participant is given a
"secret" mantra or word to chant in the morning and evening. Each of
the words discovered to date are based on the names of the Hindu Gods,
and he meditator is to focus on the "Source of Creative Intelligence"
within the individual himself. IF YOU INVITE THESE GODS INTO YOUR LIFE,
I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT THEY WILL ACCEPT THE INVITATION!

   THE WAY INTERNATIONAL Founded by Victor Paul Wierwille their, basic
fallacy is on the Trinity. Lets look at the Scriptures and see what
they have to say about this. God the ONLY GOD (Isaiah 43:10); God three
Distinct personalities (Luke 3:21,22); God the Father (II Peter 1:17);
God the Son (John 1:1,14) and God the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3,4). These
three persons making up the One God (Matthew 28:19). However; we must
make certain to not confuse the Persons. God the Father is not God the
Son and God the Son is not God the Holy Spirit. A Book written by
Victor Paul Wierwille, clearly outlines the philosophy regarding Jesus
Christ in its very title, JESUS CHRIST IS NOT GOD. In this book, it is
outlined that Jesus Christ was "impregnated in much the same way that a
cow is impregnated by a Bull", and that "Joseph had relations with Mary
after conception and before the birth". This confused explanation
contradicts itself in that the "bull-cow" theory negates a Virgin
status and the "relations with Joseph" eliminates Virgin Birth. The way
to salvation, according to THE WAY INTERNATIONAL is ONLY in the "public
and vocal expression and confession of faith" and "the ONLY visible and
audible proof that a man has been born again and filled with the gift
from the Holy Spirit is ALWAYS that he speaks in a tongue or tongues".
If you now see the error that you presently live in, we ask that you
pray this prayer:

   "FATHER, I AM SORRY FOR MY SINS AND MY SIN OF IGNORING YOUR WORD AND
FOLLOWING MEN TO BE THE ONES WHO CAN LEAD TO SALVATION. I NOW KNOW THIS
IS WRONG AND AGAINST YOUR WORD AND HUMBLY ASK FOR YOUR FORGIVENESS AND
MERCY. I ACKNOWLEDGE THE SACRIFICE OF JESUS AS PAYMENT FOR MY SINS AND
THANK YOU FOR THIS RELEASE. LORD JESUS, COME INTO MY HEART AND LIVE
THERE AND GUIDE MY STEPS FROM THIS DAY FORWARD. ALLOW ME TO BE YOUR
VESSEL ON EARTH TO CARRY THE TRUE MESSAGE OF YOUR LOVE TO ALL MEN.
THESE THINGS I NOW PRAY IN THE NAME OF MY TRUE SAVIOR AND LORD, JESUS
CHRIST. AMEN"
