  4. Stanley Jaki's work in the history and philosophy of science often
  5. concerns issues of origins such as: relations of science and
  6. religion, the sufficiency of naturalism, or the importance of
  7. notions of creation for Western science.  His newest book:
  8. Chesterton, Seer of Science, is based on lectures given at Notre
  9. Dame in April 1983 and continues his work with some of these
  10. concerns.  G. K. Chesterton was an early and penetrating
  11. critic of "scientism"--the philosophical position that all reliable
  12. knowledge is scientific--and evolution.  This book is noteworthy
  13. for its humor and Jaki's unmistakable delight in Chesterton's wit
  14. and insight.
