  6. is Associate Director of the Institute of Creation Research and Professor of 
  7. Natural Science and Apologetics at Christian Heritage College, San Diego, 
  8. California.  He spent 18 years in biochemical and biomedical research with the 
  9. Upjohn Company and at Cornell University and Berkeley. There are over 450 
  10. scientists with a master's or doctor's degree in some field of natural science 
  11. are now voting members of the Creation Research Society.

  13. .     The following lecture was given at the University of California at Davis 
  14. and has been greatly condensed for the sake of space. 
  15.  
  16. .     As a scientist, I believe we must examine all the evidence and facts 
  17. before we can come to any conclusion on any given subject. I'm asking only one 
  18. thing of this audience... that you examine the facts thoroughly and without 
  19. prejudice.

  21. .     The refusal by science teachers to consider creation as a possible 
  22. explanation for the origin of all things, is unwarranted and undesirable. The 
  23. student is being indoctrinated without being given a complete presentation of 
  24. the evidence.

  26. .     This situation could be remedied by taking a closer look at both 
  27. creation and evolution.
  28.  
  29. .     First, let's examine the claims of each.  The EVOLUTIONIST states that 
  30. all life gradually evolved from a single cell, which had evolved from dead 
  31. matter.
  32.  
  33. .     CREATIONISTS believe that life and our existence came by the acts of a 
  34. Creator.
  35.  
  36. .     The evidence that the EVOLUTIONIST needs to establish his claims, is 
  37. fossils showing a gradual step-by-step development of lower animal life into 
  38. more and more complex forms.
  39.  
  40. .     And this should be evident by the presence in the fossil record of many 
  41. transitional forms.
  42.  
  43. .     The evidence needed to support CREATION, is fossils showing complex life 
  44. appearing suddenly...with no fossil evidence of lower animals developing into 
  45. new and complex forms of life.
