  1. BBB:Dear Sirs:  a letter from a priest

  3. A copy of your September 1989 BBB recently fell into my hands. I could 
  4. hardly believe my eyes. Is it possible in this day of our educated 
  5. population someone could possibly be so ill-informed.
  6.  
  7. The front page was filled with hate: "Good Anti-Catholic Literature," 
  8. and "Apostate Baptists."
  9.  
  10. Your organization is called Bible Baptist Church. I don't know what 
  11. you refer to as a Bible, but the King James Version of the Bible 
  12. teaches LOVE, not HATE!
  13.  
  14. For starters, open to Romans 13:9-10 . . John 13:34-35 . . Matthew 
  15. 22:36-40....

  17. In your BBB you teach not LOVE OF GOD, but the hatred of Satan. You 
  18. cast an evil judgment on children of God. As a believer of the Bible 
  19. how can you defy Jesus in Matthew 7:1-2. . . Mark 12:28-31 . . . John 
  20. 4:19-24 . . . John 5:19-47?

  22. Surely Jesus was talking about His Holy Catholic Church when he spoke 
  23. in John 15:9-27.
  24.  
  25. Jesus teaches unity, not hatred and division in John 17:20-26.
  26.  
  27. Surely Jesus must have seen you in the crowd as He hung dying upon the 
  28. Cross for sin and surely he heard along with the other words of hatred 
  29. said there your hate filled words about His Holy Catholic Church which 
  30. He had personally founded to save mankind. And in His tremendous love 
  31. He held for you He could say (and we Catholics also say) Luke 23:33, 
  32. "Father forgive them; they do not know what they are doing."

  34. Please, if you profess to be followers of Jesus Christ, love as Christ 
  35. loved and do not preach hate and meanness about the Church that Jesus, 
  36. Himself, founded and continues to love, cherish and guide to this day.

  38. Let those who do not accept Christ be able to look upon the holy 
  39. relationship of Christians of all denominations and be able to say of 
  40. us what the pagans of the first century were able to say: "See these 
  41. Christians, how they love one another."
  42.  
  43. May the peace and love of Jesus Christ be with you.
