  1. JOB 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name {was} Job;
  2. and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God,
  3. and eschewed evil.
  4. JOB 1:2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three
  5. daughters.
  6. JOB 1:3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three
  7. thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred
  8. she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the
  9. greatest of all the men of the east.
  10. JOB 1:4 And his sons went and feasted {in their} houses, every
  11. one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat
  12. and to drink with them.
  13. JOB 1:5 And it was so, when the days of {their} feasting were
  14. gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early
  15. in the morning, and offered burnt offerings {according} to the
  16. number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have
  17. sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
  18. JOB 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present
  19. themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.
  20. JOB 1:7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then
  21. Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the
  22. earth, and from walking up and down in it.
  23. JOB 1:8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my
  24. servant Job, that {there is} none like him in the earth, a
  25. perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth
  26. evil?
  27. JOB 1:9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God
  28. for nought?
  29. JOB 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his
  30. house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast
  31. blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in
  32. the land.
  33. JOB 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he
  34. hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
  35. JOB 1:12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath
  36. {is} in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So
  37. Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
  38. JOB 1:13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters
  39. {were} eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:
  40. JOB 1:14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen
  41. were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:
  42. JOB 1:15 And the Sabeans fell {upon them}, and took them away;
  43. yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and
  44. I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
  45. JOB 1:16 While he {was} yet speaking, there came also another,
  46. and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned
  47. up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am
  48. escaped alone to tell thee.
  49. JOB 1:17 While he {was} yet speaking, there came also another,
  50. and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the
  51. camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants
  52. with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell
  53. thee.
  54. JOB 1:18 While he {was} yet speaking, there came also another,
  55. and said, Thy sons and thy daughters {were} eating and drinking
  56. wine in their eldest brother's house:
  57. JOB 1:19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the
  58. wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell
  59. upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped
  60. alone to tell thee.
  61. JOB 1:20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his
  62. head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
  63. JOB 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and
  64. naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath
  65. taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
  66. JOB 1:22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
  67. JOB 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to
  68. present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among
  69. them to present himself before the Lord.
  70. JOB 2:2 And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou?
  71. And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in
  72. the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
  73. JOB 2:3 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my
  74. servant Job, that {there is} none like him in the earth, a
  75. perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth
  76. evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou
  77. movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
  78. JOB 2:4 And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin,
  79. yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
  80. JOB 2:5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his
  81. flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
  82. JOB 2:6 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he {is} in thine
  83. hand; but save his life.
  84. JOB 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and
  85. smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his
  86. crown.
  87. JOB 2:8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and
  88. he sat down among the ashes.
  89. JOB 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine
  90. integrity? curse God, and die.
  91. JOB 2:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the
  92. foolish women speaketh.  What? shall we receive good at the hand
  93. of God, and shall we not receive evil?  In all this did not Job
  94. sin with his lips.
  95. JOB 2:11 Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that
  96. was come upon him, they came every one from his own place;
  97. Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the
  98. Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to
  99. mourn with him and to comfort him.
  100. JOB 2:12 And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew
  101. him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent
  102. every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward
  103. heaven.
  104. JOB 2:13 So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and
  105. seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that
  106. {his} grief was very great.
  107. JOB 3:1 After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
  108. JOB 3:2 And Job spake, and said,
  109. JOB 3:3 Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night {in
  110. which} it was said, There is a man child conceived.
  111. JOB 3:4 Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from
  112. above, neither let the light shine upon it.
  113. JOB 3:5 Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a
  114. cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.
  115. JOB 3:6 {As for} that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it
  116. not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the
  117. number of the months.
  118. JOB 3:7 Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come
  119. therein.
  120. JOB 3:8 Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to
  121. raise up their mourning.
  122. JOB 3:9 Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it
  123. look for light, but {have} none; neither let it see the dawning
  124. of the day:
  125. JOB 3:10 Because it shut not up the doors of my {mother's} womb,
  126. nor hid sorrow from mine eyes.
  127. JOB 3:11 Why died I not from the womb? {why} did I {not} give up
  128. the Ghost when I came out of the belly?
  129. JOB 3:12 Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I
  130. should suck?
  131. JOB 3:13 For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I
  132. should have slept: then had I been at rest,
  133. JOB 3:14 With kings and counsellers of the earth, which built
  134. desolate places for themselves;
  135. JOB 3:15 Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses
  136. with silver:
  137. JOB 3:16 Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as
  138. infants {which} never saw light.
  139. JOB 3:17 There the wicked cease {from} troubling; and there the
  140. weary be at rest.
  141. JOB 3:18 {There} the prisoners rest together; they hear not the
  142. voice of the oppressor.
  143. JOB 3:19 The small and great are there; and the servant {is} free
  144. from his master.
  145. JOB 3:20 Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and
  146. life unto the bitter {in} soul;
  147. JOB 3:21 Which long for death, but it {cometh} not; and dig for
  148. it more than for hid treasures;
  149. JOB 3:22 Which rejoice exceedingly, {and} are glad, when they can
  150. find the grave?
  151. JOB 3:23 {Why is light given} to a man whose way is hid, and whom
  152. God hath hedged in?
  153. JOB 3:24 For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are
  154. poured out like the waters.
  155. JOB 3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me,
  156. and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
  157. JOB 3:26 I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I
  158. quiet; yet trouble came.
  159. JOB 4:1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
  160. JOB 4:2 {If} we assay to commune with thee, wilt thou be grieved?
  161. but who can withhold himself from speaking?
  162. JOB 4:3 Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast
  163. strengthened the weak hands.
  164. JOB 4:4 Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou
  165. hast strengthened the feeble knees.
  166. JOB 4:5 But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it
  167. toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.
  168. JOB 4:6 {Is} not {this} thy fear, thy confidence, thy hope, and
  169. the uprightness of thy ways?
  170. JOB 4:7 Remember, I pray thee, who {ever} perished, being
  171. innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?
  172. JOB 4:8 Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow
  173. wickedness, reap the same.
  174. JOB 4:9 By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his
  175. nostrils are they consumed.
  176. JOB 4:10 The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce
  177. lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken.
  178. JOB 4:11 The old lion perisheth for lack of prey, and the stout
  179. lion's whelps are scattered abroad.
  180. JOB 4:12 Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear
  181. received a little thereof.
  182. JOB 4:13 In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep
  183. sleep falleth on men,
  184. JOB 4:14 Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all my
  185. bones to shake.
  186. JOB 4:15 Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my
  187. flesh stood up:
  188. JOB 4:16 It stood still, but I could not discern the form
  189. thereof: an image {was} before mine eyes, {there was} silence,
  190. and I heard a voice, {saying},
  191. JOB 4:17 Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be
  192. more pure than his maker?
  193. JOB 4:18 Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels
  194. he charged with folly:
  195. JOB 4:19 How much less {in} them that dwell in houses of clay,
  196. whose foundation {is} in the dust, {which} are crushed before the
  197. moth?
  198. JOB 4:20 They are destroyed from morning to evening: they perish
  199. for ever without any regarding {it}.
  200. JOB 4:21 Doth not their excellency {which is} in them go away?
  201. they die, even without wisdom.
  202. JOB 5:1 Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to
  203. which of the saints wilt thou turn?
  204. JOB 5:2 For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the
  205. silly one.
  206. JOB 5:3 I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I
  207. cursed his habitation.
  208. JOB 5:4 His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in
  209. the gate, neither {is there} any to deliver {them}.
  210. JOB 5:5 Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even
  211. out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.
  212. JOB 5:6 Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither
  213. doth trouble spring out of the ground;
  214. JOB 5:7 Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
  215. JOB 5:8 I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my
  216. cause:
  217. JOB 5:9 Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous
  218. things without number:
  219. JOB 5:10 Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon
  220. the fields:
  221. JOB 5:11 To set up on high those that be low; that those which
  222. mourn may be exalted to safety.
  223. JOB 5:12 He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that
  224. their hands cannot perform {their} enterprise.
  225. JOB 5:13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the
  226. counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
  227. JOB 5:14 They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the
  228. noonday as in the night.
  229. JOB 5:15 But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth,
  230. and from the hand of the mighty.
  231. JOB 5:16 So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
  232. JOB 5:17 Behold, happy {is} the man whom God correcteth:
  233. therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
  234. JOB 5:18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his
  235. hands make whole.
  236. JOB 5:19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven
  237. there shall no evil touch thee.
  238. JOB 5:20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war
  239. from the power of the sword.
  240. JOB 5:21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue:
  241. neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
  242. JOB 5:22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither
  243. shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
  244. JOB 5:23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the
  245. field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
  246. JOB 5:24 And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle {shall be} in
  247. peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.
  248. JOB 5:25 Thou shalt know also that thy seed {shall be} great, and
  249. thine offspring as {the} grass of the earth.
  250. JOB 5:26 Thou shalt come to {thy} grave in a full age, like as a
  251. shock of corn cometh in in his season.
  252. JOB 5:27 Lo this, we have searched it, so it {is}; hear it, and
  253. know thou {it} for thy good.
  254. JOB 6:1 But Job answered and said,
  255. JOB 6:2 Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity
  256. laid in the balances together!
  257. JOB 6:3 For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea:
  258. therefore my words are swallowed up.
  259. JOB 6:4 For the arrows of the Almighty {are} within me, the
  260. poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set
  261. themselves in array against me.
  262. JOB 6:5 Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the
  263. ox over his fodder?
  264. JOB 6:6 Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is
  265. there {any} taste in the white of an egg?
  266. JOB 6:7 The things {that} my soul refused to touch {are} as my
  267. sorrowful meat.
  268. JOB 6:8 Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant
  269. {me} the thing that I long for!
  270. JOB 6:9 Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he
  271. would let loose his hand, and cut me off!
  272. JOB 6:10 Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden
  273. myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the
  274. words of the Holy One.
  275. JOB 6:11 What {is} my strength, that I should hope? and what {is}
  276. mine end, that I should prolong my life?
  277. JOB 6:12 {Is} my strength the strength of stones? or {is} my
  278. flesh of brass?
  279. JOB 6:13 {Is} not my help in me? and is wisdom driven quite from
  280. me?
  281. JOB 6:14 To him that is afflicted pity {should be shewed} from
  282. his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.
  283. JOB 6:15 My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, {and} as
  284. the stream of brooks they pass away;
  285. JOB 6:16 Which are blackish by reason of the ice, {and} wherein
  286. the snow is hid:
  287. JOB 6:17 What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot,
  288. they are consumed out of their place.
  289. JOB 6:18 The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to
  290. nothing, and perish.
  291. JOB 6:19 The troops of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba waited
  292. for them.
  293. JOB 6:20 They were confounded because they had hoped; they came
  294. thither, and were ashamed.
  295. JOB 6:21 For now ye are nothing; ye see {my} casting down, and
  296. are afraid.
  297. JOB 6:22 Did I say, Bring unto me? or, Give a reward for me of
  298. your substance?
  299. JOB 6:23 Or, Deliver me from the enemy's hand? or, Redeem me from
  300. the hand of the mighty?
  301. JOB 6:24 Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to
  302. understand wherein I have erred.
  303. JOB 6:25 How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing
  304. reprove?
  305. JOB 6:26 Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one
  306. that is desperate, {which are} as wind?
  307. JOB 6:27 Yea, ye overwhelm the fatherless, and ye dig {a pit} for
  308. your friend.
  309. JOB 6:28 Now therefore be content, look upon me; for {it is}
  310. evident unto you if I lie.
  311. JOB 6:29 Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return
  312. again, my righteousness {is} in it.
  313. JOB 6:30 Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern
  314. perverse things?
  315. JOB 7:1 {Is there} not an appointed time to man upon earth? {are
  316. not} his days also like the days of an hireling?
  317. JOB 7:2 As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and as an
  318. hireling looketh for {the reward of} his work:
  319. JOB 7:3 So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome
  320. nights are appointed to me.
  321. JOB 7:4 When I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night
  322. be gone? and I am full of tossings to and fro unto the dawning of
  323. the day.
  324. JOB 7:5 My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin
  325. is broken, and become loathsome.
  326. JOB 7:6 My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, and are
  327. spent without hope.
  328. JOB 7:7 O remember that my life {is} wind: mine eye shall no more
  329. see good.
  330. JOB 7:8 The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no {more}:
  331. thine eyes {are} upon me, and I {am} not.
  332. JOB 7:9 {As} the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that
  333. goeth down to the grave shall come up no {more}.
  334. JOB 7:10 He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his
  335. place know him any more.
  336. JOB 7:11 Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in
  337. the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my
  338. soul.
  339. JOB 7:12 {Am} I a sea, or a whale, that thou settest a watch over
  340. me?
  341. JOB 7:13 When I say, My bed shall comfort me, my couch shall ease
  342. my complaint;
  343. JOB 7:14 Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me
  344. through visions:
  345. JOB 7:15 So that my soul chooseth strangling, {and} death rather
  346. than my life.
  347. JOB 7:16 I loathe {it}; I would not live alway: let me alone; for
  348. my days {are} vanity.
  349. JOB 7:17 What {is} man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that
  350. thou shouldest set thine heart upon him?
  351. JOB 7:18 And {that} thou shouldest visit him every morning, {and}
  352. try him every moment?
  353. JOB 7:19 How long wilt thou not depart from me, nor let me alone
  354. till I swallow down my spittle?
  355. JOB 7:20 I have sinned; what shall I do unto thee, O thou
  356. preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so
  357. that I am a burden to myself?
  358. JOB 7:21 And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take
  359. away mine iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and thou
  360. shalt seek me in the morning, but I {shall} not {be}.
  361. JOB 8:1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
  362. JOB 8:2 How long wilt thou speak these {things}? and {how long
  363. shall} the words of thy mouth {be like} a strong wind?
  364. JOB 8:3 Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert
  365. justice?
  366. JOB 8:4 If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast
  367. them away for their transgression;
  368. JOB 8:5 If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy
  369. supplication to the Almighty;
  370. JOB 8:6 If thou {wert} pure and upright; surely now he would
  371. awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness
  372. prosperous.
  373. JOB 8:7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should
  374. greatly increase.
  375. JOB 8:8 For inquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare
  376. thyself to the search of their fathers:
  377. JOB 8:9 (For we {are but of} yesterday, and know nothing, because
  378. our days upon earth {are} a shadow:)
  379. JOB 8:10 Shall not they teach thee, {and} tell thee, and utter
  380. words out of their heart?
  381. JOB 8:11 Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow
  382. without water?
  383. JOB 8:12 Whilst it {is} yet in his greenness, {and} not cut down,
  384. it withereth before any {other} herb.
  385. JOB 8:13 So {are} the paths of all that forget God; and the
  386. hypocrite's hope shall perish:
  387. JOB 8:14 Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust {shall be}
  388. a spider's web.
  389. JOB 8:15 He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he
  390. shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
  391. JOB 8:16 He {is} green before the sun, and his branch shooteth
  392. forth in his garden.
  393. JOB 8:17 His roots are wrapped about the heap, {and} seeth the
  394. place of stones.
  395. JOB 8:18 If he destroy him from his place, then {it} shall deny
  396. him, {saying}, I have not seen thee.
  397. JOB 8:19 Behold, this {is} the joy of his way, and out of the
  398. earth shall others grow.
  399. JOB 8:20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect {man}, neither
  400. will he help the evil doers:
  401. JOB 8:21 Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with
  402. rejoicing.
  403. JOB 8:22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the
  404. dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
  405. JOB 9:1 Then Job answered and said,
  406. JOB 9:2 I know {it is} so of a truth: but how should man be just
  407. with God?
  408. JOB 9:3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of
  409. a thousand.
  410. JOB 9:4 {He is} wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath
  411. hardened {himself} against him, and hath prospered?
  412. JOB 9:5 Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which
  413. overturneth them in his anger.
  414. JOB 9:6 Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars
  415. thereof tremble.
  416. JOB 9:7 Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth
  417. up the stars.
  418. JOB 9:8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon
  419. the waves of the sea.
  420. JOB 9:9 Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the
  421. chambers of the south.
  422. JOB 9:10 Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and
  423. wonders without number.
  424. JOB 9:11 Lo, he goeth by me, and I see {him} not: he passeth on
  425. also, but I perceive him not.
  426. JOB 9:12 Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say
  427. unto him, What doest thou?
  428. JOB 9:13 {If} God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers
  429. do stoop under him.
  430. JOB 9:14 How much less shall I answer him, {and} choose out my
  431. words {to reason} with him?
  432. JOB 9:15 Whom, though I were righteous, {yet} would I not answer,
  433. {but} I would make supplication to my judge.
  434. JOB 9:16 If I had called, and he had answered me; {yet} would I
  435. not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
  436. JOB 9:17 For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my
  437. wounds without cause.
  438. JOB 9:18 He will not suffer me to take my breath, but filleth me
  439. with bitterness.
  440. JOB 9:19 If {I speak} of strength, lo, {he is} strong: and if of
  441. judgment, who shall set me a time {to plead}?
  442. JOB 9:20 If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me:
  443. {if I say}, I {am} perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.
  444. JOB 9:21 {Though} I {were} perfect, {yet} would I not know my
  445. soul: I would despise my life.
  446. JOB 9:22 This {is} one {thing}, therefore I said {it}, He
  447. destroyeth the perfect and the wicked.
  448. JOB 9:23 If the scourge slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial
  449. of the innocent.
  450. JOB 9:24 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he
  451. covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, {and}
  452. who {is} he?
  453. JOB 9:25 Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away,
  454. they see no good.
  455. JOB 9:26 They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle
  456. {that} hasteth to the prey.
  457. JOB 9:27 If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off
  458. my heaviness, and comfort {myself}:
  459. JOB 9:28 I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not
  460. hold me innocent.
  461. JOB 9:29 {If} I be wicked, why then labour I in vain?
  462. JOB 9:30 If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands
  463. never so clean;
  464. JOB 9:31 Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own
  465. clothes shall abhor me.
  466. JOB 9:32 For {he is} not a man, as I {am, that} I should answer
  467. him, {and} we should come together in judgment.
  468. JOB 9:33 Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, {that} might
  469. lay his hand upon us both.
  470. JOB 9:34 Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear
  471. terrify me:
  472. JOB 9:35 {Then} would I speak, and not fear him; but {it is} not
  473. so with me.
  474. JOB 10:1 My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint
  475. upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
  476. JOB 10:2 I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me
  477. wherefore thou contendest with me.
  478. JOB 10:3 {Is it} good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, that
  479. thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands, and shine upon
  480. the counsel of the wicked?
  481. JOB 10:4 Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?
  482. JOB 10:5 {Are} thy days as the days of man? {are} thy years as
  483. man's days,
  484. JOB 10:6 That thou enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest
  485. after my sin?
  486. JOB 10:7 Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and {there is} none
  487. that can deliver out of thine hand.
  488. JOB 10:8 Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round
  489. about; yet thou dost destroy me.
  490. JOB 10:9 Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the
  491. clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?
  492. JOB 10:10 Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me
  493. like cheese?
  494. JOB 10:11 Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast
  495. fenced me with bones and sinews.
  496. JOB 10:12 Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy
  497. visitation hath preserved my spirit.
  498. JOB 10:13 And these {things} hast thou hid in thine heart: I know
  499. that this {is} with thee.
  500. JOB 10:14 If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not
  501. acquit me from mine iniquity.
  502. JOB 10:15 If I be wicked, woe unto me; and {if} I be righteous,
  503. {yet} will I not lift up my head. {I am} full of confusion;
  504. therefore see thou mine affliction;
  505. JOB 10:16 For it increaseth. Thou huntest me as a fierce lion:
  506. and again thou shewest thyself marvellous upon me.
  507. JOB 10:17 Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and increasest
  508. thine indignation upon me; changes and war {are} against me.
  509. JOB 10:18 Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the
  510. womb? Oh that I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me!
  511. JOB 10:19 I should have been as though I had not been; I should
  512. have been carried from the womb to the grave.
  513. JOB 10:20 {Are} not my days few? cease {then, and} let me alone,
  514. that I may take comfort a little,
  515. JOB 10:21 Before I go {whence} I shall not return, {even} to the
  516. land of darkness and the shadow of death;
  517. JOB 10:22 A land of darkness, as darkness {itself; and} of the
  518. shadow of death, without any order, and {where} the light {is} as
  519. darkness.
  520. JOB 11:1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
  521. JOB 11:2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and
  522. should a man full of talk be justified?
  523. JOB 11:3 Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou
  524. mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
  525. JOB 11:4 For thou hast said, My doctrine {is} pure, and I am
  526. clean in thine eyes.
  527. JOB 11:5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against
  528. thee;
  529. JOB 11:6 And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that
  530. {they are} double to that which is! know therefore that God
  531. exacteth of thee {less} than thine iniquity {deserveth}.
  532. JOB 11:7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find
  533. out the Almighty unto perfection?
  534. JOB 11:8 {It is} as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper
  535. than hell; what canst thou know?
  536. JOB 11:9 The measure thereof {is} longer than the earth, and
  537. broader than the sea.
  538. JOB 11:10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then
  539. who can hinder him?
  540. JOB 11:11 For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will
  541. he not then consider {it}?
  542. JOB 11:12 For vain man would be wise, though man be born {like} a
  543. wild ass's colt.
  544. JOB 11:13 If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine
  545. hands toward him;
  546. JOB 11:14 If iniquity {be} in thine hand, put it far away, and
  547. let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
  548. JOB 11:15 For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea,
  549. thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
  550. JOB 11:16 Because thou shalt forget {thy} misery, {and} remember
  551. {it} as waters {that} pass away:
  552. JOB 11:17 And {thine} age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou
  553. shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
  554. JOB 11:18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea,
  555. thou shalt dig {about thee, and} thou shalt take thy rest in
  556. safety.
  557. JOB 11:19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make {thee}
  558. afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
  559. JOB 11:20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall
  560. not escape, and their hope {shall be as} the giving up of the
  561. ghost.
  562. JOB 12:1 And Job answered and said,
  563. JOB 12:2 No doubt but ye {are} the people, and wisdom shall die
  564. with you.
  565. JOB 12:3 But I have understanding as well as you; I {am} not
  566. inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?
  567. JOB 12:4 I am {as} one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon
  568. God, and he answereth him: the just upright {man is} laughed to
  569. scorn.
  570. JOB 12:5 He that is ready to slip with {his} feet {is as} a lamp
  571. despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
  572. JOB 12:6 The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that
  573. provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth
  574. {abundantly}.
  575. JOB 12:7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and
  576. the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
  577. JOB 12:8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the
  578. fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
  579. JOB 12:9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord
  580. hath wrought this?
  581. JOB 12:10 In whose hand {is} the soul of every living thing, and
  582. the breath of all mankind.
  583. JOB 12:11 Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his
  584. meat?
  585. JOB 12:12 With the ancient {is} wisdom; and in length of days
  586. understanding.
  587. JOB 12:13 With him {is} wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and
  588. understanding.
  589. JOB 12:14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again:
  590. he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
  591. JOB 12:15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up:
  592. also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
  593. JOB 12:16 With him {is} strength and wisdom: the deceived and the
  594. deceiver {are} his.
  595. JOB 12:17 He leadeth counsellers away spoiled, and maketh the
  596. judges fools.
  597. JOB 12:18 He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins
  598. with a girdle.
  599. JOB 12:19 He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the
  600. mighty.
  601. JOB 12:20 He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh
  602. away the understanding of the aged.
  603. JOB 12:21 He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the
  604. strength of the mighty.
  605. JOB 12:22 He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and
  606. bringeth out to light the shadow of death.
  607. JOB 12:23 He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he
  608. enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them {again}.
  609. JOB 12:24 He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of
  610. the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness {where
  611. there is} no way.
  612. JOB 12:25 They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh
  613. them to stagger like {a} drunken {man}.
  614. JOB 13:1 Lo, mine eye hath seen all {this}, mine ear hath heard
  615. and understood it.
  616. JOB 13:2 What ye know, {the same} do I know also: I {am} not
  617. inferior unto you.
  618. JOB 13:3 Surely I would speak to the almighty, and I desire to
  619. reason with God.
  620. JOB 13:4 But ye {are} forgers of lies, ye {are} all physicians of
  621. no value.
  622. JOB 13:5 O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it
  623. should be your wisdom.
  624. JOB 13:6 Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of
  625. my lips.
  626. JOB 13:7 Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for
  627. him?
  628. JOB 13:8 Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
  629. JOB 13:9 Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man
  630. mocketh another, do ye {so} mock him?
  631. JOB 13:10 He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept
  632. persons.
  633. JOB 13:11 Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread
  634. fall upon you?
  635. JOB 13:12 Your remembrances {are} like unto ashes, your bodies to
  636. bodies of clay.
  637. JOB 13:13 Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and
  638. let come on me what {will}.
  639. JOB 13:14 Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my
  640. life in mine hand?
  641. JOB 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will
  642. maintain mine own ways before him.
  643. JOB 13:16 He also {shall be} my salvation: for an hypocrite shall
  644. not come before him.
  645. JOB 13:17 Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your
  646. ears.
  647. JOB 13:18 Behold now, I have ordered {my} cause; I know that I
  648. shall be justified.
  649. JOB 13:19 Who {is} he {that} will plead with me? for now, if I
  650. hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.
  651. JOB 13:20 Only do not two {things} unto me: then will I not hide
  652. myself from thee.
  653. JOB 13:21 Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread
  654. make me afraid.
  655. JOB 13:22 Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and
  656. answer thou me.
  657. JOB 13:23 How many {are} mine iniquities and sins? make me to
  658. know my transgression and my sin.
  659. JOB 13:24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for
  660. thine enemy?
  661. JOB 13:25 Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou
  662. pursue the dry stubble?
  663. JOB 13:26 For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest
  664. me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
  665. JOB 13:27 Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and lookest
  666. narrowly unto all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels
  667. of my feet.
  668. JOB 13:28 And he, as a rotten thing, consumeth, as a garment that
  669. is moth eaten.
  670. JOB 14:1 Man {that is} born of a woman {is} of few days and full
  671. of trouble.
  672. JOB 14:2 He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he
  673. fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
  674. JOB 14:3 And dost thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and
  675. bringest me into judgment with thee?
  676. JOB 14:4 Who can bring a clean {thing} out of an unclean? not
  677. one.
  678. JOB 14:5 Seeing his days {are} determined, the number of his
  679. months {are} with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he
  680. cannot pass;
  681. JOB 14:6 Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall
  682. accomplish, as an hireling, his day.
  683. JOB 14:7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it
  684. will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not
  685. cease.
  686. JOB 14:8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the
  687. stock thereof die in the ground;
  688. JOB 14:9 {Yet} through the scent of water it will bud, and bring
  689. forth boughs like a plant.
  690. JOB 14:10 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the
  691. Ghost, and where {is} he?
  692. JOB 14:11 {As} the waters fail from the sea, and the flood
  693. decayeth and drieth up:
  694. JOB 14:12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens
  695. {be} no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their
  696. sleep.
  697. JOB 14:13 O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou
  698. wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou
  699. wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!
  700. JOB 14:14 If a man die, shall he live {again}? all the days of my
  701. appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
  702. JOB 14:15 Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have
  703. a desire to the work of thine hands.
  704. JOB 14:16 For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch
  705. over my sin?
  706. JOB 14:17 My transgression {is} sealed up in a bag, and thou
  707. sewest up mine iniquity.
  708. JOB 14:18 And surely the mountain falling cometh to nought, and
  709. the rock is removed out of his place.
  710. JOB 14:19 The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the
  711. things which grow {out} of the dust of the earth; and thou
  712. destroyest the hope of man.
  713. JOB 14:20 Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth:
  714. thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away.
  715. JOB 14:21 His sons come to honour, and he knoweth {it} not; and
  716. they are brought low, but he perceiveth {it} not of them.
  717. JOB 14:22 But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul
  718. within him shall mourn.
  719. JOB 15:1 Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,
  720. JOB 15:2 Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his
  721. belly with the east wind?
  722. JOB 15:3 Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with
  723. speeches wherewith he can do no good?
  724. JOB 15:4 Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer
  725. before God.
  726. JOB 15:5 For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest
  727. the tongue of the crafty.
  728. JOB 15:6 Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine
  729. own lips testify against thee.
  730. JOB 15:7 {Art} thou the first man {that} was born? or wast thou
  731. made before the hills?
  732. JOB 15:8 Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou
  733. restrain wisdom to thyself?
  734. JOB 15:9 What knowest thou, that we know not? {what}
  735. understandest thou, which {is} not in us?
  736. JOB 15:10 With us {are} both the grayheaded and very aged men,
  737. much elder than thy father.
  738. JOB 15:11 {Are} the consolations of God small with thee? is there
  739. any secret thing with thee?
  740. JOB 15:12 Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy
  741. eyes wink at,
  742. JOB 15:13 That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest
  743. {such} words go out of thy mouth?
  744. JOB 15:14 What {is} man, that he should be clean? and {he which
  745. is} born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
  746. JOB 15:15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the
  747. heavens are not clean in his sight.
  748. JOB 15:16 How much more abominable and filthy {is} man, which
  749. drinketh iniquity like water?
  750. JOB 15:17 I will shew thee, hear me; and that {which} I have seen
  751. I will declare;
  752. JOB 15:18 Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have
  753. not hid {it}:
  754. JOB 15:19 Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger
  755. passed among them.
  756. JOB 15:20 The wicked man travaileth with pain all {his} days, and
  757. the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.
  758. JOB 15:21 A dreadful sound {is} in his ears: in prosperity the
  759. destroyer shall come upon him.
  760. JOB 15:22 He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness,
  761. and he is waited for of the sword.
  762. JOB 15:23 He wandereth abroad for bread, {saying}, Where {is it}?
  763. he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
  764. JOB 15:24 Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall
  765. prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.
  766. JOB 15:25 For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and
  767. strengtheneth himself against the Almighty.
  768. JOB 15:26 He Runneth upon him, {even} on {his} neck, upon the
  769. thick bosses of his bucklers:
  770. JOB 15:27 Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and
  771. maketh collops of fat on {his} flanks.
  772. JOB 15:28 And he dwelleth in desolate cities, {and} in houses
  773. which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps.
  774. JOB 15:29 He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance
  775. continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon
  776. the earth.
  777. JOB 15:30 He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall
  778. dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go
  779. away.
  780. JOB 15:31 Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for
  781. vanity shall be his recompence.
  782. JOB 15:32 It shall be accomplished before his time, and his
  783. branch shall not be green.
  784. JOB 15:33 He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and
  785. shall cast off his flower as the olive.
  786. JOB 15:34 For the congregation of hypocrites {shall be} desolate,
  787. and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.
  788. JOB 15:35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and
  789. their belly prepareth deceit.
  790. JOB 16:1 Then Job answered and said,
  791. JOB 16:2 I have heard many such things: miserable comforters
  792. {are} ye all.
  793. JOB 16:3 Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldeneth thee
  794. that thou answerest?
  795. JOB 16:4 I also could speak as ye {do}: if your soul were in my
  796. soul's stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine
  797. head at you.
  798. JOB 16:5 {But} I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the
  799. moving of my lips should asswage {your grief}.
  800. JOB 16:6 Though I speak, my grief is not asswaged: and {though} I
  801. forbear, what am I eased?
  802. JOB 16:7 But now he hath made me weary: thou hast made desolate
  803. all my company.
  804. JOB 16:8 And thou hast filled me with wrinkles, {which} is a
  805. witness {against me}: and my leanness rising up in me beareth
  806. witness to my face.
  807. JOB 16:9 He teareth {me} in his wrath, who hateth me: he gnasheth
  808. upon me with his teeth; mine enemy sharpeneth his eyes upon me.
  809. JOB 16:10 They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have
  810. smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered
  811. themselves together against me.
  812. JOB 16:11 God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me
  813. over into the hands of the wicked.
  814. JOB 16:12 I was at ease, but he hath broken me asunder: he hath
  815. also taken {me} by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me
  816. up for his mark.
  817. JOB 16:13 His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my
  818. reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon
  819. the ground.
  820. JOB 16:14 He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon
  821. me like a giant.
  822. JOB 16:15 I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and defiled my
  823. horn in the dust.
  824. JOB 16:16 My face is foul with weeping, and on my eyelids {is}
  825. the shadow of death;
  826. JOB 16:17 Not for {any} injustice in mine hands: also my prayer
  827. {is} pure.
  828. JOB 16:18 O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have
  829. no place.
  830. JOB 16:19 Also now, behold, my witness {is} in heaven, and my
  831. record {is} on high.
  832. JOB 16:20 My friends scorn me: {but} mine eye poureth out {tears}
  833. unto God.
  834. JOB 16:21 O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man
  835. {pleadeth} for his neighbour!
  836. JOB 16:22 When a few years are come, then I shall go the way
  837. {whence} I shall not return.
  838. JOB 17:1 My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves
  839. {are ready} for me.
  840. JOB 17:2 {Are there} not mockers with me? and doth not mine eye
  841. continue in their provocation?
  842. JOB 17:3 Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who {is} he
  843. {that} will strike hands with me?
  844. JOB 17:4 For thou hast hid their heart from understanding:
  845. therefore shalt thou not exalt {them}.
  846. JOB 17:5 He that speaketh flattery to {his} friends, even the
  847. eyes of his children shall fail.
  848. JOB 17:6 He hath made me also a byword of the people; and
  849. aforetime I was as a tabret.
  850. JOB 17:7 Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my
  851. members {are} as a shadow.
  852. JOB 17:8 Upright {men} shall be astonied at this, and the
  853. innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.
  854. JOB 17:9 The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that
  855. hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
  856. JOB 17:10 But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I
  857. cannot find {one} wise {man} among you.
  858. JOB 17:11 My days are past, my purposes are broken off, {even}
  859. the thoughts of my heart.
  860. JOB 17:12 They change the night into day: the light {is} short
  861. because of darkness.
  862. JOB 17:13 If I wait, the grave {is} mine house: I have made my
  863. bed in the darkness.
  864. JOB 17:14 I have said to corruption, Thou {art} my father: to the
  865. worm, {Thou art} my mother, and my sister.
  866. JOB 17:15 And where {is} now my hope? as for my hope, who shall
  867. see it?
  868. JOB 17:16 They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when {our}
  869. rest together {is} in the dust.
  870. JOB 18:1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
  871. JOB 18:2 How long {will it be ere} ye make an end of words? mark,
  872. and afterwards we will speak.
  873. JOB 18:3 Wherefore are we counted as beasts, {and} reputed vile
  874. in your sight?
  875. JOB 18:4 He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be
  876. forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his
  877. place?
  878. JOB 18:5 Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the
  879. spark of his fire shall not shine.
  880. JOB 18:6 The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his
  881. candle shall be put out with him.
  882. JOB 18:7 The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his
  883. own counsel shall cast him down.
  884. JOB 18:8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he
  885. walketh upon a snare.
  886. JOB 18:9 The gin shall take {him} by the heel, {and} the robber
  887. shall prevail against him.
  888. JOB 18:10 The snare {is} laid for him in the ground, and a trap
  889. for him in the way.
  890. JOB 18:11 Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall
  891. drive him to his feet.
  892. JOB 18:12 His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction
  893. {shall be} ready at his side.
  894. JOB 18:13 It shall devour the strength of his skin: {even} the
  895. firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
  896. JOB 18:14 His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle,
  897. and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
  898. JOB 18:15 It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because {it is} none
  899. of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
  900. JOB 18:16 His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall
  901. his branch be cut off.
  902. JOB 18:17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he
  903. shall have no name in the street.
  904. JOB 18:18 He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased
  905. out of the world.
  906. JOB 18:19 He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people,
  907. nor any remaining in his dwellings.
  908. JOB 18:20 They that come after {him} shall be astonied at his
  909. day, as they that went before were affrighted.
  910. JOB 18:21 Surely such {are} the dwellings of the wicked, and this
  911. {is} the place {of him that} knoweth not God.
  912. JOB 19:1 Then Job answered and said,
  913. JOB 19:2 How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces
  914. with words?
  915. JOB 19:3 These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not
  916. ashamed {that} ye make yourselves strange to me.
  917. JOB 19:4 And be it indeed {that} I have erred, mine error
  918. remaineth with myself.
  919. JOB 19:5 If indeed ye will magnify {yourselves} against me, and
  920. plead against me my reproach:
  921. JOB 19:6 Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed
  922. me with his net.
  923. JOB 19:7 Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry
  924. aloud, but {there is} no judgment.
  925. JOB 19:8 He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath
  926. set darkness in my paths.
  927. JOB 19:9 He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown
  928. {from} my head.
  929. JOB 19:10 He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and
  930. mine hope hath he removed like a tree.
  931. JOB 19:11 He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he
  932. counteth me unto him as {one of} his enemies.
  933. JOB 19:12 His troops come together, and raise up their way
  934. against me, and encamp round about my tabernacle.
  935. JOB 19:13 He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine
  936. acquaintance are verily estranged from me.
  937. JOB 19:14 My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have
  938. forgotten me.
  939. JOB 19:15 They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me
  940. for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.
  941. JOB 19:16 I called my servant, and he gave {me} no answer; I
  942. intreated him with my mouth.
  943. JOB 19:17 My breath is strange to my wife, though I intreated for
  944. the children's {sake} of mine own body.
  945. JOB 19:18 Yea, young children despised me; I arose, and they
  946. spake against me.
  947. JOB 19:19 All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I
  948. loved are turned against me.
  949. JOB 19:20 My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am
  950. escaped with the skin of my teeth.
  951. JOB 19:21 Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends;
  952. for the hand of God hath touched me.
  953. JOB 19:22 Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied
  954. with my flesh?
  955. JOB 19:23 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were
  956. printed in a book!
  957. JOB 19:24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the
  958. rock for ever!
  959. JOB 19:25 For I know {that} my redeemer liveth, and {that} he
  960. shall stand at the latter {day} upon the earth:
  961. JOB 19:26 And {though} after my skin {worms} destroy this {body},
  962. yet in my flesh shall I see God:
  963. JOB 19:27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall
  964. behold, and not another; {though} my reins be consumed within me.
  965. JOB 19:28 But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the
  966. root of the matter is found in me?
  967. JOB 19:29 Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath {bringeth} the
  968. punishments of the sword, that ye may know {there is} a judgment.
  969. JOB 20:1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
  970. JOB 20:2 Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for
  971. {this} I make haste.
  972. JOB 20:3 I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of
  973. my understanding causeth me to answer.
  974. JOB 20:4 Knowest thou {not} this of old, since man was placed
  975. upon earth,
  976. JOB 20:5 That the triumphing of the wicked {is} short, and the
  977. joy of the hypocrite {but} for a moment?
  978. JOB 20:6 Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his
  979. head reach unto the clouds;
  980. JOB 20:7 {Yet} he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they
  981. which have seen him shall say, Where {is} he?
  982. JOB 20:8 He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found:
  983. yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.
  984. JOB 20:9 The eye also {which} saw him shall {see him} no more;
  985. neither shall his place any more behold him.
  986. JOB 20:10 His children shall seek to please the poor, and his
  987. hands shall restore their goods.
  988. JOB 20:11 His bones are full {of the sin} of his youth, which
  989. shall lie down with him in the dust.
  990. JOB 20:12 Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, {though} he
  991. hide it under his tongue;
  992. JOB 20:13 {Though} he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it
  993. still within his mouth:
  994. JOB 20:14 {Yet} his meat in his bowels is turned, {it is} the
  995. gall of asps within him.
  996. JOB 20:15 He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them
  997. up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
  998. JOB 20:16 He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue
  999. shall slay him.
  1000. JOB 20:17 He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of
  1001. honey and butter.
  1002. JOB 20:18 That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall
  1003. not swallow {it} down: according to {his} substance {shall} the
  1004. restitution {be}, and he shall not rejoice {therein}.
  1005. JOB 20:19 Because he hath oppressed {and} hath forsaken the poor;
  1006. {because} he hath violently taken away an house which he builded
  1007. not;
  1008. JOB 20:20 Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he
  1009. shall not save of that which he desired.
  1010. JOB 20:21 There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall
  1011. no man look for his goods.
  1012. JOB 20:22 In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in
  1013. straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.
  1014. JOB 20:23 {When} he is about to fill his belly, {God} shall cast
  1015. the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain {it} upon him
  1016. while he is eating.
  1017. JOB 20:24 He shall flee from the iron weapon, {and} the bow of
  1018. steel shall strike him through.
  1019. JOB 20:25 It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the
  1020. glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors {are} upon him.
  1021. JOB 20:26 All darkness {shall be} hid in his secret places: a
  1022. fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that
  1023. is left in his tabernacle.
  1024. JOB 20:27 The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth
  1025. shall rise up against him.
  1026. JOB 20:28 The increase of his house shall depart, {and his goods}
  1027. shall flow away in the day of his wrath.
  1028. JOB 20:29 This {is} the portion of a wicked man from God, and the
  1029. heritage appointed unto him by God.
  1030. JOB 21:1 But Job answered and said,
  1031. JOB 21:2 Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your
  1032. consolations.
  1033. JOB 21:3 Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have
  1034. spoken, mock on.
  1035. JOB 21:4 As for me, {is} my complaint to man? and if {it were
  1036. so}, why should not my spirit be troubled?
  1037. JOB 21:5 Mark me, and be astonished, and lay {your} hand upon
  1038. {your} mouth.
  1039. JOB 21:6 Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling taketh
  1040. hold on my flesh.
  1041. JOB 21:7 Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are
  1042. mighty in power?
  1043. JOB 21:8 Their seed is established in their sight with them, and
  1044. their offspring before their eyes.
  1045. JOB 21:9 Their houses {are} safe from fear, neither {is} the rod
  1046. of God upon them.
  1047. JOB 21:10 Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow
  1048. calveth, and casteth not her calf.
  1049. JOB 21:11 They send forth their little ones like a flock, and
  1050. their children dance.
  1051. JOB 21:12 They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the
  1052. sound of the organ.
  1053. JOB 21:13 They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go
  1054. down to the grave.
  1055. JOB 21:14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we
  1056. desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
  1057. JOB 21:15 What {is} the Almighty, that we should serve him? and
  1058. what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
  1059. JOB 21:16 Lo, their good {is} not in their hand: the counsel of
  1060. the wicked is far from me.
  1061. JOB 21:17 How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and {how
  1062. oft} cometh their destruction upon them! {God} distributeth
  1063. sorrows in his anger.
  1064. JOB 21:18 They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that
  1065. the storm carrieth away.
  1066. JOB 21:19 God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he
  1067. rewardeth him, and he shall know {it}.
  1068. JOB 21:20 His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink
  1069. of the wrath of the almighty.
  1070. JOB 21:21 For what pleasure {hath} he in his house after him,
  1071. when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
  1072. JOB 21:22 Shall {any} teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth
  1073. those that are high.
  1074. JOB 21:23 One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease
  1075. and quiet.
  1076. JOB 21:24 His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are
  1077. moistened with marrow.
  1078. JOB 21:25 And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and
  1079. never eateth with pleasure.
  1080. JOB 21:26 They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms
  1081. shall cover them.
  1082. JOB 21:27 Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices {which}
  1083. ye wrongfully imagine against me.
  1084. JOB 21:28 For ye say, Where {is} the house of the prince? and
  1085. where {are} the dwelling places of the wicked?
  1086. JOB 21:29 Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye
  1087. not know their tokens,
  1088. JOB 21:30 That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction?
  1089. they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
  1090. JOB 21:31 Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall
  1091. repay him {what} he hath done?
  1092. JOB 21:32 Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain
  1093. in the tomb.
  1094. JOB 21:33 The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and
  1095. every man shall draw after him, as {there are} innumerable before
  1096. him.
  1097. JOB 21:34 How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers
  1098. there remaineth falsehood?
  1099. JOB 22:1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
  1100. JOB 22:2 Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may
  1101. be profitable unto himself?
  1102. JOB 22:3 {Is it} any pleasure to the almighty, that thou art
  1103. righteous? or {is it} gain {to him}, that thou makest thy ways
  1104. perfect?
  1105. JOB 22:4 Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter
  1106. with thee into judgment?
  1107. JOB 22:5 {Is} not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities
  1108. infinite?
  1109. JOB 22:6 For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for
  1110. nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
  1111. JOB 22:7 Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and
  1112. thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.
  1113. JOB 22:8 But {as for} the mighty man, he had the earth; and the
  1114. honourable man dwelt in it.
  1115. JOB 22:9 Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the
  1116. fatherless have been broken.
  1117. JOB 22:10 Therefore snares {are} round about thee, and sudden
  1118. fear troubleth thee;
  1119. JOB 22:11 Or darkness, {that} thou canst not see; and abundance
  1120. of waters cover thee.
  1121. JOB 22:12 {Is} not God in the height of heaven? and behold the
  1122. height of the stars, how high they are!
  1123. JOB 22:13 And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge
  1124. through the dark cloud?
  1125. JOB 22:14 Thick clouds {are} a covering to him, that he seeth
  1126. not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.
  1127. JOB 22:15 Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have
  1128. trodden?
  1129. JOB 22:16 Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was
  1130. overflown with a flood:
  1131. JOB 22:17 Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the
  1132. Almighty do for them?
  1133. JOB 22:18 Yet he filled their houses with good {things}: but the
  1134. counsel of the wicked is far from me.
  1135. JOB 22:19 The righteous see {it}, and are glad: and the innocent
  1136. laugh them to scorn.
  1137. JOB 22:20 Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant
  1138. of them the fire consumeth.
  1139. JOB 22:21 Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby
  1140. good shall come unto thee.
  1141. JOB 22:22 Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay
  1142. up his words in thine heart.
  1143. JOB 22:23 If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up,
  1144. thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
  1145. JOB 22:24 Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the {gold} of
  1146. Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
  1147. JOB 22:25 Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt
  1148. have plenty of silver.
  1149. JOB 22:26 For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty,
  1150. and shalt lift up thy face unto God.
  1151. JOB 22:27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear
  1152. thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
  1153. JOB 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be
  1154. established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
  1155. JOB 22:29 When {men} are cast down, then thou shalt say, {There
  1156. Is} lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
  1157. JOB 22:30 He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is
  1158. delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
  1159. JOB 23:1 Then Job answered and said,
  1160. JOB 23:2 Even to day {is} my complaint bitter: my stroke is
  1161. heavier than my groaning.
  1162. JOB 23:3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! {that} I might
  1163. come {even} to his seat!
  1164. JOB 23:4 I would order {my} cause before him, and fill my mouth
  1165. with arguments.
  1166. JOB 23:5 I would know the words {which} he would answer me, and
  1167. understand what he would say unto me.
  1168. JOB 23:6 Will he plead against me with {his} great power? No; but
  1169. he would put {strength} in me.
  1170. JOB 23:7 There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I
  1171. be delivered for ever from my judge.
  1172. JOB 23:8 Behold, I go forward, but he {is} not {there}; and
  1173. backward, but I cannot perceive him:
  1174. JOB 23:9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot
  1175. behold {him}: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot
  1176. see {him}:
  1177. JOB 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: {when} he hath
  1178. tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
  1179. JOB 23:11 My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and
  1180. not declined.
  1181. JOB 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his
  1182. lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my
  1183. necessary {food}.
  1184. JOB 23:13 But he {is} in one {mind}, and who can turn him? and
  1185. {what} his soul desireth, even {that} he doeth.
  1186. JOB 23:14 For he performeth {the thing} that {is} appointed for
  1187. me: and many such {things are} with him.
  1188. JOB 23:15 Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I
  1189. consider, I am afraid of him.
  1190. JOB 23:16 For God maketh my heart soft, and the almighty
  1191. troubleth me:
  1192. JOB 23:17 Because I was not cut off before the darkness,
  1193. {neither} hath he covered the darkness from my face.
  1194. JOB 24:1 Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do
  1195. they that know him not see his days?
  1196. JOB 24:2 {Some} remove the landmarks; they violently take away
  1197. flocks, and feed {thereof}.
  1198. JOB 24:3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the
  1199. widow's ox for a pledge.
  1200. JOB 24:4 They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the
  1201. earth hide themselves together.
  1202. JOB 24:5 Behold, {as} wild asses in the desert, go they forth to
  1203. their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness {yieldeth}
  1204. food for them {and} for {their} children.
  1205. JOB 24:6 They reap {every one} his corn in the field: and they
  1206. gather the vintage of the wicked.
  1207. JOB 24:7 They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that
  1208. {they have} no covering in the cold.
  1209. JOB 24:8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and
  1210. embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
  1211. JOB 24:9 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a
  1212. pledge of the poor.
  1213. JOB 24:10 They cause {him} to go naked without clothing, and they
  1214. take away the sheaf {from} the hungry;
  1215. JOB 24:11 {Which} make oil within their walls, {and} tread
  1216. {their} winepresses, and suffer thirst.
  1217. JOB 24:12 Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the
  1218. wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly {to them}.
  1219. JOB 24:13 They are of those that rebel against the light; they
  1220. know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
  1221. JOB 24:14 The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and
  1222. needy, and in the night is as a thief.
  1223. JOB 24:15 The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight,
  1224. saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth {his} face.
  1225. JOB 24:16 In the dark they dig through houses, {which} they had
  1226. marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
  1227. JOB 24:17 For the morning {is} to them even as the shadow of
  1228. death: if {one} know {them, they are in} the terrors of the
  1229. shadow of death.
  1230. JOB 24:18 He {is} swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in
  1231. the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
  1232. JOB 24:19 Drought and heat consume the snow waters: {so doth} the
  1233. grave {those which} have sinned.
  1234. JOB 24:20 The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly
  1235. on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be
  1236. broken as a tree.
  1237. JOB 24:21 He evil entreateth the barren {that} beareth not: and
  1238. doeth not good to the widow.
  1239. JOB 24:22 He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth
  1240. up, and no {man} is sure of life.
  1241. JOB 24:23 {Though} it be given him {to be} in safety, whereon he
  1242. resteth; yet his eyes {are} upon their ways.
  1243. JOB 24:24 They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and
  1244. brought low; they are taken out of the way as all {other}, and
  1245. cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
  1246. JOB 24:25 And if {it be} not so now, who will make me a liar, and
  1247. make my speech nothing worth?
  1248. JOB 25:1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
  1249. JOB 25:2 Dominion and fear {are} with him, he maketh peace in his
  1250. high places.
  1251. JOB 25:3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth
  1252. not his light arise?
  1253. JOB 25:4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be
  1254. clean {that is} born of a woman?
  1255. JOB 25:5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the
  1256. stars are not pure in his sight.
  1257. JOB 25:6 How much less man, {that is} a worm? and the son of man,
  1258. {which is} a worm?
  1259. JOB 26:1 But Job answered and said,
  1260. JOB 26:2 How hast thou helped {him that is} without power? {how}
  1261. savest thou the arm {that hath} no strength?
  1262. JOB 26:3 How hast thou counselled {him that hath} no wisdom? and
  1263. {how} hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?
  1264. JOB 26:4 To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came
  1265. from thee?
  1266. JOB 26:5 Dead {things} are formed from under the waters, and the
  1267. inhabitants thereof.
  1268. JOB 26:6 Hell {is} naked before him, and destruction hath no
  1269. covering.
  1270. JOB 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, {and}
  1271. hangeth the earth upon nothing.
  1272. JOB 26:8 He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the
  1273. cloud is not rent under them.
  1274. JOB 26:9 He holdeth back the face of his throne, {and} spreadeth
  1275. his cloud upon it.
  1276. JOB 26:10 He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day
  1277. and night come to an end.
  1278. JOB 26:11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his
  1279. reproof.
  1280. JOB 26:12 He divideth the sea with his power, and by his
  1281. understanding he smiteth through the proud.
  1282. JOB 26:13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand
  1283. hath formed the crooked serpent.
  1284. JOB 26:14 Lo, these {are} parts of his ways: but how little a
  1285. portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can
  1286. understand?
  1287. JOB 27:1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
  1288. JOB 27:2 {As} God liveth, {who} hath taken away my judgment; and
  1289. the Almighty, {who} hath vexed my soul;
  1290. JOB 27:3 All the while my breath {is} in me, and the spirit of
  1291. God {is} in my nostrils;
  1292. JOB 27:4 My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter
  1293. deceit.
  1294. JOB 27:5 God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will
  1295. not remove mine integrity from me.
  1296. JOB 27:6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my
  1297. heart shall not reproach {me} so long as I live.
  1298. JOB 27:7 Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up
  1299. against me as the unrighteous.
  1300. JOB 27:8 For what {is} the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath
  1301. gained, when God taketh away his soul?
  1302. JOB 27:9 Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?
  1303. JOB 27:10 Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always
  1304. call upon God?
  1305. JOB 27:11 I will teach you by the hand of God: {that} which {is}
  1306. with the Almighty will I not conceal.
  1307. JOB 27:12 Behold, all ye yourselves have seen {it}; why then are
  1308. ye thus altogether vain?
  1309. JOB 27:13 This {is} the portion of a wicked man with God, and the
  1310. heritage of oppressors, {which} they shall receive of the
  1311. Almighty.
  1312. JOB 27:14 If his children be multiplied, {it is} for the sword:
  1313. and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
  1314. JOB 27:15 Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and
  1315. his widows shall not weep.
  1316. JOB 27:16 Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare
  1317. raiment as the clay;
  1318. JOB 27:17 He may prepare {it}, but the just shall put {it} on,
  1319. and the innocent shall divide the silver.
  1320. JOB 27:18 He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth {that}
  1321. the keeper maketh.
  1322. JOB 27:19 The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be
  1323. gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he {is} not.
  1324. JOB 27:20 Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth
  1325. him away in the night.
  1326. JOB 27:21 The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and
  1327. as a storm hurleth him out of his place.
  1328. JOB 27:22 For {God} shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would
  1329. fain flee out of his hand.
  1330. JOB 27:23 {Men} shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him
  1331. out of his place.
  1332. JOB 28:1 Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for
  1333. gold {where} they fine {it}.
  1334. JOB 28:2 Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass {is} molten
  1335. {out of} the stone.
  1336. JOB 28:3 He setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out all
  1337. perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death.
  1338. JOB 28:4 The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant; {even the
  1339. waters} forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone
  1340. away from men.
  1341. JOB 28:5 {As for} the earth, out of it cometh bread: and under it
  1342. is turned up as it were fire.
  1343. JOB 28:6 The stones of it {are} the place of sapphires: and it
  1344. hath dust of gold.
  1345. JOB 28:7 {There is} a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the
  1346. vulture's eye hath not seen:
  1347. JOB 28:8 The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce
  1348. lion passed by it.
  1349. JOB 28:9 He putteth forth his hand upon the rock; he overturneth
  1350. the mountains by the roots.
  1351. JOB 28:10 He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye
  1352. seeth every precious thing.
  1353. JOB 28:11 He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and {the thing
  1354. that} is hid bringeth he forth to light.
  1355. JOB 28:12 But where shall wisdom be found? and where {is} the
  1356. place of understanding?
  1357. JOB 28:13 Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found
  1358. in the land of the living.
  1359. JOB 28:14 The depth saith, It {is} not in me: and the sea saith,
  1360. {It is} not with me.
  1361. JOB 28:15 It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be
  1362. weighed {for} the price thereof.
  1363. JOB 28:16 It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the
  1364. precious onyx, or the sapphire.
  1365. JOB 28:17 The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the
  1366. exchange of it {shall not be for} jewels of fine gold.
  1367. JOB 28:18 No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for
  1368. the price of wisdom {is} above rubies.
  1369. JOB 28:19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall
  1370. it be valued with pure gold.
  1371. JOB 28:20 Whence then cometh wisdom? and where {is} the place of
  1372. understanding?
  1373. JOB 28:21 Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept
  1374. close from the fowls of the air.
  1375. JOB 28:22 Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame
  1376. thereof with our ears.
  1377. JOB 28:23 God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the
  1378. place thereof.
  1379. JOB 28:24 For he looketh to the ends of the earth, {and} seeth
  1380. under the whole heaven;
  1381. JOB 28:25 To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the
  1382. waters by measure.
  1383. JOB 28:26 When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the
  1384. lightning of the thunder:
  1385. JOB 28:27 Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it,
  1386. yea, and searched it out.
  1387. JOB 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord,
  1388. that {is} wisdom; and to depart from evil {is} understanding.
  1389. JOB 29:1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
  1390. JOB 29:2 Oh that I were as {in} months past, as {in} the days
  1391. {when} God preserved me;
  1392. JOB 29:3 When his candle shined upon my head, {and when} by his
  1393. light I walked {through} darkness;
  1394. JOB 29:4 As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God
  1395. {was} upon my tabernacle;
  1396. JOB 29:5 When the Almighty {was} yet with me, {when} my children
  1397. {were} about me;
  1398. JOB 29:6 When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured
  1399. me out rivers of oil;
  1400. JOB 29:7 When I went out to the gate through the city, {when} I
  1401. prepared my seat in the street!
  1402. JOB 29:8 The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged
  1403. arose, {and} stood up.
  1404. JOB 29:9 The princes refrained talking, and laid {their} hand on
  1405. their mouth.
  1406. JOB 29:10 The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved
  1407. to the roof of their mouth.
  1408. JOB 29:11 When the ear heard {me}, then it blessed me; and when
  1409. the eye saw {me}, it gave witness to me:
  1410. JOB 29:12 Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the
  1411. fatherless, and {him that had} none to help him.
  1412. JOB 29:13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon
  1413. me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.
  1414. JOB 29:14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment
  1415. {was} as a robe and a diadem.
  1416. JOB 29:15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet {was} I to the Lame.
  1417. JOB 29:16 I {was} a father to the poor: and the cause {which} I
  1418. knew not I searched out.
  1419. JOB 29:17 And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the
  1420. spoil out of his teeth.
  1421. JOB 29:18 Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall
  1422. multiply {my} days as the sand.
  1423. JOB 29:19 My root {was} spread out by the waters, and the dew lay
  1424. all night upon my branch.
  1425. JOB 29:20 My glory {was} Fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in
  1426. my hand.
  1427. JOB 29:21 Unto me {men} gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at
  1428. my counsel.
  1429. JOB 29:22 After my words they spake not again; and my speech
  1430. dropped upon them.
  1431. JOB 29:23 And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened
  1432. their mouth wide {as} for the latter rain.
  1433. JOB 29:24 {If} I laughed on them, they believed {it} not; and the
  1434. light of my countenance they cast not down.
  1435. JOB 29:25 I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a
  1436. king in the army, as one {that} comforteth the mourners.
  1437. JOB 30:1 But now {they that are} younger than I have me in
  1438. derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with
  1439. the dogs of my flock.
  1440. JOB 30:2 Yea, whereto {might} the strength of their hands
  1441. {profit} me, in whom old age was perished?
  1442. JOB 30:3 For want and famine {they were} solitary; fleeing into
  1443. the wilderness in former time desolate and waste.
  1444. JOB 30:4 Who cut up mallows by the bushes, and juniper roots
  1445. {for} their meat.
  1446. JOB 30:5 They were driven forth from among {men}, (they cried
  1447. after them as {after} a thief;)
  1448. JOB 30:6 To dwell in the clifts of the valleys, {in} caves of the
  1449. earth, and {in} the rocks.
  1450. JOB 30:7 Among the bushes they brayed; under the nettles they
  1451. were gathered together.
  1452. JOB 30:8 {They were} children of fools, yea, children of base
  1453. men: they were viler than the earth.
  1454. JOB 30:9 And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword.
  1455. JOB 30:10 They abhor me, they flee far from me, and spare not to
  1456. spit in my face.
  1457. JOB 30:11 Because he hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they
  1458. have also let loose the bridle before me.
  1459. JOB 30:12 Upon {my} right {hand} rise the youth; they push away
  1460. my feet, and they raise up against me the ways of their
  1461. destruction.
  1462. JOB 30:13 They mar my path, they set forward my calamity, they
  1463. have no helper.
  1464. JOB 30:14 They came {upon me} as a wide breaking in {of waters}:
  1465. in the desolation they rolled themselves {upon me}.
  1466. JOB 30:15 Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the
  1467. wind: and my welfare passeth away as a cloud.
  1468. JOB 30:16 And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of
  1469. affliction have taken hold upon me.
  1470. JOB 30:17 My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my
  1471. sinews take no rest.
  1472. JOB 30:18 By the great force {of my disease} is my garment
  1473. changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat.
  1474. JOB 30:19 He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like
  1475. dust and ashes.
  1476. JOB 30:20 I cry unto thee, and thou dost not hear me: I stand up,
  1477. and thou regardest me {not}.
  1478. JOB 30:21 Thou art become cruel to me: with thy strong hand thou
  1479. opposest thyself against me.
  1480. JOB 30:22 Thou liftest me up to the wind; thou causest me to ride
  1481. {upon it}, and dissolvest my substance.
  1482. JOB 30:23 For I know {that} thou wilt bring me {to} death, and to
  1483. the house appointed for all living.
  1484. JOB 30:24 Howbeit he will not stretch out {his} hand to the
  1485. grave, though they cry in his destruction.
  1486. JOB 30:25 Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was {not}
  1487. my soul grieved for the poor?
  1488. JOB 30:26 When I looked for good, then evil came {unto me}: and
  1489. when I waited for light, there came darkness.
  1490. JOB 30:27 My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of
  1491. affliction prevented me.
  1492. JOB 30:28 I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, {and} I
  1493. cried in the congregation.
  1494. JOB 30:29 I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls.
  1495. JOB 30:30 My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with
  1496. heat.
  1497. JOB 30:31 My harp also is {turned} to mourning, and my organ into
  1498. the voice of them that weep.
  1499. JOB 31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I
  1500. think upon a maid?
  1501. JOB 31:2 For what portion of God {is there} from above? and
  1502. {what} inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
  1503. JOB 31:3 {Is} not destruction to the wicked? and a strange
  1504. {punishment} to the workers of iniquity?
  1505. JOB 31:4 Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
  1506. JOB 31:5 If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot hath hasted
  1507. to deceit;
  1508. JOB 31:6 Let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know
  1509. mine integrity.
  1510. JOB 31:7 If my step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart
  1511. walked after mine eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to mine
  1512. hands;
  1513. JOB 31:8 {Then} let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my
  1514. offspring be rooted out.
  1515. JOB 31:9 If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or {if} I
  1516. have laid wait at my neighbour's door;
  1517. JOB 31:10 {Then} let my wife grind unto another, and let others
  1518. bow down upon her.
  1519. JOB 31:11 For this {is} an heinous crime; yea, it {is} an
  1520. iniquity {to be punished by} the judges.
  1521. JOB 31:12 For it {is} a fire {that} consumeth to destruction, and
  1522. would root out all mine increase.
  1523. JOB 31:13 If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my
  1524. maidservant, when they contended with me;
  1525. JOB 31:14 What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when he
  1526. visiteth, what shall I answer him?
  1527. JOB 31:15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did
  1528. not one fashion us in the womb?
  1529. JOB 31:16 If I have withheld the poor from {their} desire, or
  1530. have caused the eyes of the widow to fail;
  1531. JOB 31:17 Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the
  1532. fatherless hath not eaten thereof;
  1533. JOB 31:18 (For from my youth he was brought up with me, as {with}
  1534. a father, and I have guided her from my mother's womb;)
  1535. JOB 31:19 If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or any
  1536. poor without covering;
  1537. JOB 31:20 If his loins have not blessed me, and {if} he were
  1538. {not} warmed with the fleece of my sheep;
  1539. JOB 31:21 If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless,
  1540. when I saw my help in the gate:
  1541. JOB 31:22 {Then} let mine arm fall from my shoulder blade, and
  1542. mine arm be broken from the bone.
  1543. JOB 31:23 For destruction {from} God {was} a terror to me, and by
  1544. reason of his highness I could not endure.
  1545. JOB 31:24 If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine
  1546. gold, {Thou art} my confidence;
  1547. JOB 31:25 If I rejoiced because my wealth {was} great, and
  1548. because mine hand had gotten much;
  1549. JOB 31:26 If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking
  1550. {in} brightness;
  1551. JOB 31:27 And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth
  1552. hath kissed my hand:
  1553. JOB 31:28 This also {were} an iniquity {to be punished by} the
  1554. judge: for I should have denied the God {that is} above.
  1555. JOB 31:29 If I rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me,
  1556. or lifted up myself when evil found him:
  1557. JOB 31:30 Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a
  1558. curse to his soul.
  1559. JOB 31:31 If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of
  1560. his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.
  1561. JOB 31:32 The stranger did not lodge in the street: {but} I
  1562. opened my doors to the traveller.
  1563. JOB 31:33 If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine
  1564. iniquity in my bosom:
  1565. JOB 31:34 Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of
  1566. families terrify me, that I kept silence, {and} went not out of
  1567. the door?
  1568. JOB 31:35 Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire {is, that}
  1569. the Almighty would answer me, and {that} mine adversary had
  1570. written a book.
  1571. JOB 31:36 Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, {and} bind it
  1572. {as} a crown to me.
  1573. JOB 31:37 I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a
  1574. prince would I go near unto him.
  1575. JOB 31:38 If my land cry against me, or that the furrows likewise
  1576. thereof complain;
  1577. JOB 31:39 If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, or
  1578. have caused the owners thereof to lose their life:
  1579. JOB 31:40 Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead
  1580. of barley. The words of Job are ended.
  1581. JOB 32:1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he
  1582. {was} righteous in his own eyes.
  1583. JOB 32:2 Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel
  1584. the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath
  1585. kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.
  1586. JOB 32:3 Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled,
  1587. because they had found no answer, and {yet} had condemned Job.
  1588. JOB 32:4 Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they
  1589. {were} elder than he.
  1590. JOB 32:5 When Elihu saw that {there was} no answer in the mouth
  1591. of {these} three men, then his wrath was kindled.
  1592. JOB 32:6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and
  1593. said, I {am} young, and ye {are} very old; wherefore I was
  1594. afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.
  1595. JOB 32:7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should
  1596. teach wisdom.
  1597. JOB 32:8 But {there is} a spirit in man: and the inspiration of
  1598. the Almighty giveth them understanding.
  1599. JOB 32:9 Great men are not {always} wise: neither do the aged
  1600. understand judgment.
  1601. JOB 32:10 Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine
  1602. opinion.
  1603. JOB 32:11 Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your
  1604. reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.
  1605. JOB 32:12 Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, {there was} none
  1606. of you that convinced Job, {or} that answered his words:
  1607. JOB 32:13 Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God
  1608. thrusteth him down, not man.
  1609. JOB 32:14 Now he hath not directed {his} words against me:
  1610. neither will I answer him with your speeches.
  1611. JOB 32:15 They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off
  1612. speaking.
  1613. JOB 32:16 When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood
  1614. still, {and} answered no more;)
  1615. JOB 32:17 {I said}, I will answer also my part, I also will shew
  1616. mine opinion.
  1617. JOB 32:18 For I am full of matter, the spirit within me
  1618. constraineth me.
  1619. JOB 32:19 Behold, my belly {is} as wine {which} hath no vent; it
  1620. is ready to burst like new bottles.
  1621. JOB 32:20 I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my
  1622. lips and answer.
  1623. JOB 32:21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person,
  1624. neither let me give flattering titles unto man.
  1625. JOB 32:22 For I know not to give flattering titles; {in so doing}
  1626. my maker would soon take me away.
  1627. JOB 33:1 Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and
  1628. hearken to all my words.
  1629. JOB 33:2 Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath
  1630. spoken in my mouth.
  1631. JOB 33:3 My words {shall be of} the uprightness of my heart: and
  1632. my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.
  1633. JOB 33:4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the
  1634. Almighty hath given me life.
  1635. JOB 33:5 If thou canst answer me, set {thy words} in order before
  1636. me, stand up.
  1637. JOB 33:6 Behold, I {am} according to thy wish in God's stead: I
  1638. also am formed out of the clay.
  1639. JOB 33:7 Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither
  1640. shall my hand be heavy upon thee.
  1641. JOB 33:8 Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have
  1642. heard the voice of {thy} words, {saying},
  1643. JOB 33:9 I am clean without transgression, I {am} innocent;
  1644. neither {is there} iniquity in me.
  1645. JOB 33:10 Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me
  1646. for his enemy,
  1647. JOB 33:11 He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my
  1648. paths.
  1649. JOB 33:12 Behold, {in} this thou art not just: I will answer
  1650. thee, that God is greater than man.
  1651. JOB 33:13 Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not
  1652. account of any of his matters.
  1653. JOB 33:14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, {yet man} perceiveth
  1654. it not.
  1655. JOB 33:15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep
  1656. falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
  1657. JOB 33:16 Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their
  1658. instruction,
  1659. JOB 33:17 That he may withdraw man {from his} purpose, and hide
  1660. pride from man.
  1661. JOB 33:18 He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life
  1662. from perishing by the sword.
  1663. JOB 33:19 He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the
  1664. multitude of his bones with strong {pain}:
  1665. JOB 33:20 So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty
  1666. meat.
  1667. JOB 33:21 His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and
  1668. his bones {that} were not seen stick out.
  1669. JOB 33:22 Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life
  1670. to the destroyers.
  1671. JOB 33:23 If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one
  1672. among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
  1673. JOB 33:24 Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him
  1674. from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
  1675. JOB 33:25 His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall
  1676. return to the days of his youth:
  1677. JOB 33:26 He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto
  1678. him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto
  1679. man his righteousness.
  1680. JOB 33:27 He looketh upon men, and {if any} say, I have sinned,
  1681. and perverted {that which was} right, and it profited me not;
  1682. JOB 33:28 He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and
  1683. his life shall see the light.
  1684. JOB 33:29 Lo, all these {things} worketh God oftentimes with man,
  1685. JOB 33:30 To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened
  1686. with the light of the living.
  1687. JOB 33:31 Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and
  1688. I will speak.
  1689. JOB 33:32 If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I
  1690. desire to justify thee.
  1691. JOB 33:33 If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall
  1692. teach thee wisdom.
  1693. JOB 34:1 Furthermore Elihu answered and said,
  1694. JOB 34:2 Hear my words, O ye wise {men}; and give ear unto me, ye
  1695. that have knowledge.
  1696. JOB 34:3 For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.
  1697. JOB 34:4 Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among
  1698. ourselves what {is} good.
  1699. JOB 34:5 For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken
  1700. away my judgment.
  1701. JOB 34:6 Should I lie against my right? my wound {is} incurable
  1702. without transgression.
  1703. JOB 34:7 What man {is} like Job, {who} drinketh up scorning like
  1704. water?
  1705. JOB 34:8 Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and
  1706. walketh with wicked men.
  1707. JOB 34:9 For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he
  1708. should delight himself with God.
  1709. JOB 34:10 Therefore hearken unto me ye men of understanding: far
  1710. be it from God, {that he should do} wickedness; and {from} the
  1711. Almighty, {that he should commit} iniquity.
  1712. JOB 34:11 For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and
  1713. cause every man to find according to {his} ways.
  1714. JOB 34:12 Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the
  1715. Almighty pervert judgment.
  1716. JOB 34:13 Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath
  1717. disposed the whole world?
  1718. JOB 34:14 If he set his heart upon man, {if} he gather unto
  1719. himself his spirit and his breath;
  1720. JOB 34:15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn
  1721. again unto dust.
  1722. JOB 34:16 If now {thou hast} understanding, hear this: hearken to
  1723. the voice of my words.
  1724. JOB 34:17 Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou
  1725. condemn him that is most just?
  1726. JOB 34:18 {Is it fit} to say to a king, {Thou art} wicked? {and}
  1727. to princes, {Ye are} ungodly?
  1728. JOB 34:19 {How much less to him} that accepteth not the persons
  1729. of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they
  1730. all {are} the work of his hands.
  1731. JOB 34:20 In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be
  1732. troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be
  1733. taken away without hand.
  1734. JOB 34:21 For his eyes {are} upon the ways of man, and he seeth
  1735. all his goings.
  1736. JOB 34:22 {There is} no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the
  1737. workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
  1738. JOB 34:23 For he will not lay upon man more {than right}; that he
  1739. should enter into judgment with God.
  1740. JOB 34:24 He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and
  1741. set others in their stead.
  1742. JOB 34:25 Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth
  1743. {them} in the night, so that they are destroyed.
  1744. JOB 34:26 He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of
  1745. others;
  1746. JOB 34:27 Because they turned back from him, and would not
  1747. consider any of his ways:
  1748. JOB 34:28 So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto
  1749. him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.
  1750. JOB 34:29 When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble?
  1751. and when he hideth {his} face, who then can behold him? whether
  1752. {it be done} against a nation, or against a man only:
  1753. JOB 34:30 That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be
  1754. ensnared.
  1755. JOB 34:31 Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne
  1756. {chastisement}, I will not offend {any more}:
  1757. JOB 34:32 {That which} I see not teach thou me: if I have done
  1758. iniquity, I will do no more.
  1759. JOB 34:33 {Should it be} according to thy mind? he will
  1760. recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and
  1761. not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.
  1762. JOB 34:34 Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man
  1763. hearken unto me.
  1764. JOB 34:35 Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words {were}
  1765. without wisdom.
  1766. JOB 34:36 My desire {is that} Job may be tried unto the end
  1767. because of {his} answers for wicked men.
  1768. JOB 34:37 For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth {his
  1769. hands} among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
  1770. JOB 35:1 Elihu spake moreover, and said,
  1771. JOB 35:2 Thinkest thou this to be right, {that} thou saidst, My
  1772. righteousness {is} more than God's?
  1773. JOB 35:3 For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee?
  1774. {and}, What profit shall I have, {if I be cleansed} from my sin?
  1775. JOB 35:4 I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.
  1776. JOB 35:5 Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds
  1777. {which} are higher than thou.
  1778. JOB 35:6 If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or {if}
  1779. thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?
  1780. JOB 35:7 If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what
  1781. receiveth he of thine hand?
  1782. JOB 35:8 Thy wickedness {may hurt} a man as thou {art}; and thy
  1783. righteousness {may profit} the son of man.
  1784. JOB 35:9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make {the
  1785. oppressed} to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the
  1786. mighty.
  1787. JOB 35:10 But none saith, Where {is} God my maker, who giveth
  1788. songs in the night;
  1789. JOB 35:11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and
  1790. maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
  1791. JOB 35:12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the
  1792. pride of evil men.
  1793. JOB 35:13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the
  1794. Almighty regard it.
  1795. JOB 35:14 Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, {yet}
  1796. judgment {is} before him; therefore trust thou in him.
  1797. JOB 35:15 But now, because {it is} not {so}, he hath visited in
  1798. his anger; yet he knoweth {it} not in great extremity:
  1799. JOB 35:16 Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he
  1800. multiplieth words without knowledge.
  1801. JOB 36:1 Elihu also proceeded, and said,
  1802. JOB 36:2 Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that {I have}
  1803. yet to speak on God's behalf.
  1804. JOB 36:3 I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe
  1805. righteousness to my Maker.
  1806. JOB 36:4 For truly my words {shall} not {be} false: he that is
  1807. perfect in knowledge {is} with thee.
  1808. JOB 36:5 Behold, God {is} mighty, and despiseth not {any: he is}
  1809. mighty in strength {and} wisdom.
  1810. JOB 36:6 He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth
  1811. right to the poor.
  1812. JOB 36:7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with
  1813. kings {are} {they} on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for
  1814. ever, and they are exalted.
  1815. JOB 36:8 And if {they be} bound in fetters, {and} be holden in
  1816. cords of affliction;
  1817. JOB 36:9 Then he sheweth them their work, and their
  1818. transgressions that they have exceeded.
  1819. JOB 36:10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth
  1820. that they return from iniquity.
  1821. JOB 36:11 If they obey and serve {him}, they shall spend their
  1822. days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
  1823. JOB 36:12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword,
  1824. and they shall die without knowledge.
  1825. JOB 36:13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not
  1826. when he bindeth them.
  1827. JOB 36:14 They die in youth, and their life {is} among the
  1828. unclean.
  1829. JOB 36:15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth
  1830. their ears in oppression.
  1831. JOB 36:16 Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait
  1832. {into} a broad place, where {there is} no straitness; and that
  1833. which should be set on thy table {should be} full of fatness.
  1834. JOB 36:17 But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked:
  1835. judgment and justice take hold {on thee}.
  1836. JOB 36:18 Because {there is} wrath, {beware} lest he take thee
  1837. away with {his} stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.
  1838. JOB 36:19 Will he esteem thy riches? {no}, not gold, nor all the
  1839. forces of strength.
  1840. JOB 36:20 Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their
  1841. place.
  1842. JOB 36:21 Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou
  1843. chosen rather than affliction.
  1844. JOB 36:22 Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like
  1845. him?
  1846. JOB 36:23 Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou
  1847. hast wrought iniquity?
  1848. JOB 36:24 Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.
  1849. JOB 36:25 Every man may see it; man may behold {it} afar off.
  1850. JOB 36:26 Behold, God {is} great, and we know {him} not, neither
  1851. can the number of his years be searched out.
  1852. JOB 36:27 For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down
  1853. rain according to the vapour thereof:
  1854. JOB 36:28 Which the clouds do drop {and} distil upon man
  1855. abundantly.
  1856. JOB 36:29 Also can {any} understand the spreadings of the clouds,
  1857. or the noise of his tabernacle?
  1858. JOB 36:30 Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth
  1859. the bottom of the sea.
  1860. JOB 36:31 For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in
  1861. abundance.
  1862. JOB 36:32 With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it
  1863. {not to shine} by {the cloud} that cometh betwixt.
  1864. JOB 36:33 The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle
  1865. also concerning the vapour.
  1866. JOB 37:1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his
  1867. place.
  1868. JOB 37:2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound
  1869. {that} goeth out of his mouth.
  1870. JOB 37:3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his
  1871. lightning unto the ends of the earth.
  1872. JOB 37:4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice
  1873. of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is
  1874. heard.
  1875. JOB 37:5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things
  1876. doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
  1877. JOB 37:6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou {on} the earth;
  1878. likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his
  1879. strength.
  1880. JOB 37:7 He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may
  1881. know his work.
  1882. JOB 37:8 Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their
  1883. places.
  1884. JOB 37:9 Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of
  1885. the north.
  1886. JOB 37:10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of
  1887. the waters is straitened.
  1888. JOB 37:11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he
  1889. scattereth his bright cloud:
  1890. JOB 37:12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they
  1891. may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world
  1892. in the earth.
  1893. JOB 37:13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for
  1894. his land, or for mercy.
  1895. JOB 37:14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the
  1896. wondrous works of God.
  1897. JOB 37:15 Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the
  1898. light of his cloud to shine?
  1899. JOB 37:16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the
  1900. wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
  1901. JOB 37:17 How thy garments {are} warm, when he quieteth the earth
  1902. by the south {wind}?
  1903. JOB 37:18 Hast thou with him spread out the sky, {which is}
  1904. strong, {and} as a molten looking glass?
  1905. JOB 37:19 Teach us what we shall say unto him; {for} we cannot
  1906. order {our speech} by reason of darkness.
  1907. JOB 37:20 Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak,
  1908. surely he shall be swallowed up.
  1909. JOB 37:21 And now {men} see not the bright light which {is} in
  1910. the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.
  1911. JOB 37:22 Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God {is}
  1912. terrible majesty.
  1913. JOB 37:23 {Touching} the Almighty, we cannot find him out: {he
  1914. is} excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of
  1915. justice: he will not afflict.
  1916. JOB 37:24 Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any {that
  1917. are} wise of heart.
  1918. JOB 38:1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and
  1919. said,
  1920. JOB 38:2 Who {is} this that darkeneth counsel by words without
  1921. knowledge?
  1922. JOB 38:3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of
  1923. thee, and answer thou me.
  1924. JOB 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the
  1925. earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
  1926. JOB 38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or
  1927. who hath stretched the line upon it?
  1928. JOB 38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who
  1929. laid the corner stone thereof;
  1930. JOB 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons
  1931. of God shouted for joy?
  1932. JOB 38:8 Or {who} shut up the sea with doors, when it brake
  1933. forth, {as if} it had issued out of the womb?
  1934. JOB 38:9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick
  1935. darkness a swaddlingband for it,
  1936. JOB 38:10 And brake up for it my decreed {place}, and set bars
  1937. and doors,
  1938. JOB 38:11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and
  1939. here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
  1940. JOB 38:12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; {and}
  1941. caused the dayspring to know his place;
  1942. JOB 38:13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that
  1943. the wicked might be shaken out of it?
  1944. JOB 38:14 It is turned as clay {to} the seal; and they stand as a
  1945. garment.
  1946. JOB 38:15 And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the
  1947. high arm shall be broken.
  1948. JOB 38:16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast
  1949. thou walked in the search of the depth?
  1950. JOB 38:17 Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast
  1951. thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?
  1952. JOB 38:18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare
  1953. if thou knowest it all.
  1954. JOB 38:19 Where {is} the way {where} light dwelleth? and {as for}
  1955. darkness, where {is} the place thereof,
  1956. JOB 38:20 That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and
  1957. that thou shouldest know the paths {to} the house thereof?
  1958. JOB 38:21 Knowest thou {it}, because thou wast then born? or
  1959. {because} the number of thy days {is} great?
  1960. JOB 38:22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or
  1961. hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
  1962. JOB 38:23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble,
  1963. against the day of battle and war?
  1964. JOB 38:24 By what way is the light parted, {which} scattereth the
  1965. east wind upon the earth?
  1966. JOB 38:25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of
  1967. waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
  1968. JOB 38:26 To cause it to rain on the earth, {where} no man {is;
  1969. on} the wilderness, wherein {there is} no man;
  1970. JOB 38:27 To satisfy the desolate and waste {ground}; and to
  1971. cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
  1972. JOB 38:28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops
  1973. of dew?
  1974. JOB 38:29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of
  1975. heaven, who hath gendered it?
  1976. JOB 38:30 The waters are hid as {with} a stone, and the face of
  1977. the deep is frozen.
  1978. JOB 38:31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or
  1979. loose the bands of Orion?
  1980. JOB 38:32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or
  1981. canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
  1982. JOB 38:33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set
  1983. the dominion thereof in the earth?
  1984. JOB 38:34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that
  1985. abundance of waters may cover thee?
  1986. JOB 38:35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say
  1987. unto thee, Here we {are}?
  1988. JOB 38:36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath
  1989. given understanding to the heart?
  1990. JOB 38:37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay
  1991. the bottles of heaven,
  1992. JOB 38:38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods
  1993. cleave fast together?
  1994. JOB 38:39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the
  1995. appetite of the young lions,
  1996. JOB 38:40 When they couch in {their} dens, {and} abide in the
  1997. covert to lie in wait?
  1998. JOB 38:41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young
  1999. ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
  2000. JOB 39:1 Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock
  2001. bring forth? {or} canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
  2002. JOB 39:2 Canst thou number the months {that} they fulfil? or
  2003. knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
  2004. JOB 39:3 They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones,
  2005. they cast out their sorrows.
  2006. JOB 39:4 Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with
  2007. corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.
  2008. JOB 39:5 Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed
  2009. the bands of the wild ass?
  2010. JOB 39:6 Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren
  2011. land his dwellings.
  2012. JOB 39:7 He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth
  2013. he the crying of the driver.
  2014. JOB 39:8 The range of the mountains {is} his pasture, and he
  2015. searcheth after every green thing.
  2016. JOB 39:9 Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by
  2017. thy crib?
  2018. JOB 39:10 Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the
  2019. furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
  2020. JOB 39:11 Wilt thou trust him, because his strength {is} great?
  2021. or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?
  2022. JOB 39:12 Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy
  2023. seed, and gather {it into} thy barn?
  2024. JOB 39:13 {Gavest thou} the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or
  2025. wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
  2026. JOB 39:14 Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them
  2027. in dust,
  2028. JOB 39:15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that
  2029. the wild beast may break them.
  2030. JOB 39:16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though {they
  2031. were} not hers: her labour is in vain without fear;
  2032. JOB 39:17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath
  2033. he imparted to her understanding.
  2034. JOB 39:18 What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth
  2035. the horse and his rider.
  2036. JOB 39:19 Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed
  2037. his neck with thunder?
  2038. JOB 39:20 Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory
  2039. of his nostrils {is} terrible.
  2040. JOB 39:21 He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in {his}
  2041. strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
  2042. JOB 39:22 He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither
  2043. turneth he back from the sword.
  2044. JOB 39:23 The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear
  2045. and the shield.
  2046. JOB 39:24 He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage:
  2047. neither believeth he that {it is} the sound of the trumpet.
  2048. JOB 39:25 He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth
  2049. the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the
  2050. shouting.
  2051. JOB 39:26 Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, {and} stretch her
  2052. wings toward the south?
  2053. JOB 39:27 Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her
  2054. nest on high?
  2055. JOB 39:28 She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of
  2056. the rock, and the strong place.
  2057. JOB 39:29 From thence she seeketh the prey, {and} her eyes behold
  2058. afar off.
  2059. JOB 39:30 Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain
  2060. {are}, there {is} she.
  2061. JOB 40:1 Moreover the Lord answered Job, and said,
  2062. JOB 40:2 Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct
  2063. {him}? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.
  2064. JOB 40:3 Then Job answered the Lord, and said,
  2065. JOB 40:4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay
  2066. mine hand upon my mouth.
  2067. JOB 40:5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice;
  2068. but I will proceed no further.
  2069. JOB 40:6 Then answered the Lord unto Job out of the whirlwind,
  2070. and said,
  2071. JOB 40:7 Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee,
  2072. and declare thou unto me.
  2073. JOB 40:8 Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn
  2074. me, that thou mayest be righteous?
  2075. JOB 40:9 Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a
  2076. voice like him?
  2077. JOB 40:10 Deck thyself now {with} majesty and excellency; and
  2078. array thyself with glory and beauty.
  2079. JOB 40:11 Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one
  2080. {that is} proud, and abase him.
  2081. JOB 40:12 Look on every one {that is} proud, {and} bring him low;
  2082. and tread down the wicked in their place.
  2083. JOB 40:13 Hide them in the dust together; {and} bind their faces
  2084. in secret.
  2085. JOB 40:14 Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right
  2086. hand can save thee.
  2087. JOB 40:15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth
  2088. grass as an ox.
  2089. JOB 40:16 Lo now, his strength {is} in his loins, and his force
  2090. {is} in the navel of his belly.
  2091. JOB 40:17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his
  2092. stones are wrapped together.
  2093. JOB 40:18 His bones {are as} strong pieces of brass; his bones
  2094. {are} like bars of iron.
  2095. JOB 40:19 He {is} the chief of the ways of God: he that made him
  2096. can make his sword to approach {unto him}.
  2097. JOB 40:20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all
  2098. the beasts of the field play.
  2099. JOB 40:21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the
  2100. reed, and fens.
  2101. JOB 40:22 The shady trees cover him {with} their shadow; the
  2102. willows of the brook compass him about.
  2103. JOB 40:23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, {and} hasteth not: he
  2104. trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
  2105. JOB 40:24 He taketh it with his eyes: {his} nose pierceth through
  2106. snares.
  2107. JOB 41:1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his
  2108. tongue with a cord {which} thou lettest down?
  2109. JOB 41:2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw
  2110. through with a thorn?
  2111. JOB 41:3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak
  2112. soft {words} unto thee?
  2113. JOB 41:4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him
  2114. for a servant for ever?
  2115. JOB 41:5 Wilt thou play with him as {with} a bird? or wilt thou
  2116. bind him for thy maidens?
  2117. JOB 41:6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they
  2118. part him among the merchants?
  2119. JOB 41:7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head
  2120. with fish spears?
  2121. JOB 41:8 Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no
  2122. more.
  2123. JOB 41:9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not {one} be
  2124. cast down even at the sight of him?
  2125. JOB 41:10 None {is so} fierce that dare stir him up: who then is
  2126. able to stand before me?
  2127. JOB 41:11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay {him?
  2128. whatsoever is} under the whole heaven is mine.
  2129. JOB 41:12 I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his
  2130. comely proportion.
  2131. JOB 41:13 Who can discover the face of his garment? {or} who can
  2132. come {to him} with his double bridle?
  2133. JOB 41:14 Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth {are}
  2134. terrible round about.
  2135. JOB 41:15 {His} scales {are his} pride, shut up together {as
  2136. with} a close seal.
  2137. JOB 41:16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between
  2138. them.
  2139. JOB 41:17 They are joined one to another, they stick together,
  2140. that they cannot be sundered.
  2141. JOB 41:18 By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes {are}
  2142. like the eyelids of the morning.
  2143. JOB 41:19 Out of his mouth go burning lamps, {and} sparks of fire
  2144. leap out.
  2145. JOB 41:20 Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as {out} of a seething
  2146. pot or caldron.
  2147. JOB 41:21 His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his
  2148. mouth.
  2149. JOB 41:22 In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned
  2150. into joy before him.
  2151. JOB 41:23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are
  2152. firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.
  2153. JOB 41:24 His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a
  2154. piece of the nether {millstone}.
  2155. JOB 41:25 When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by
  2156. reason of breakings they purify themselves.
  2157. JOB 41:26 The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the
  2158. spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.
  2159. JOB 41:27 He esteemeth iron as straw, {and} brass as rotten wood.
  2160. JOB 41:28 The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned
  2161. with him into stubble.
  2162. JOB 41:29 Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the
  2163. shaking of a spear.
  2164. JOB 41:30 Sharp stones {are} under him: he spreadeth sharp
  2165. pointed things upon the mire.
  2166. JOB 41:31 He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the
  2167. sea like a pot of ointment.
  2168. JOB 41:32 He maketh a path to shine after him; {one} would think
  2169. the deep {to be} hoary.
  2170. JOB 41:33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without
  2171. fear.
  2172. JOB 41:34 He beholdeth all high {things}: he {is} a king over all
  2173. the children of pride.
  2174. JOB 42:1 Then Job answered the Lord, and said,
  2175. JOB 42:2 I know that thou canst do every {thing}, and {that} no
  2176. thought can be withholden from thee.
  2177. JOB 42:3 Who {is} he that hideth counsel without knowledge?
  2178. therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too
  2179. wonderful for me, which I knew not.
  2180. JOB 42:4 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of
  2181. thee, and declare thou unto me.
  2182. JOB 42:5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now
  2183. mine eye seeth thee.
  2184. JOB 42:6 Wherefore I abhor {myself}, and repent in dust and
  2185. ashes.
  2186. JOB 42:7 And it was {so}, that after the Lord had spoken these
  2187. words unto Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath
  2188. is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have
  2189. not spoken of me {the thing that is} right, as my servant Job
  2190. {hath}.
  2191. JOB 42:8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven
  2192. rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a
  2193. burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him
  2194. will I accept: lest I deal with you {after your} folly, in that
  2195. ye have not spoken of me {the thing which is} right, like my
  2196. servant Job.
  2197. JOB 42:9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite {and}
  2198. Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the Lord
  2199. commanded them: the Lord also accepted Job.
  2200. JOB 42:10 And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he
  2201. prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as
  2202. he had before.
  2203. JOB 42:11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his
  2204. sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before,
  2205. and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him,
  2206. and comforted him over all the evil that the Lord had brought
  2207. upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one
  2208. an earring of gold.
  2209. JOB 42:12 So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his
  2210. beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand
  2211. camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
  2212. JOB 42:13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
  2213. JOB 42:14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the
  2214. name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third,
  2215. Kerenhappuch.
  2216. JOB 42:15 And in all the land were no women found {so} fair as
  2217. the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance
  2218. among their brethren.
  2219. JOB 42:16 After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and
  2220. saw his sons, and his sons' sons, {even} four generations.
  2221. JOB 42:17 So Job died, {being} old and full of days.
