  1. BEFORE STARTING
  2. -Make sure your EMS-memory is configured. if not, please run memmaker 
  3. form your ms- dos or ;use any other memory manager in order to configure 
  4. your EMS-memory.
  5. -In case of scrambled viewing, please install univesa.exe or univbe.exe 
  6. (VGA drivers) which can be found on the cd-rom in directory PLAYER/VESA.

  8. GETTING STARTED
  9. Go to your cd-rom drive and type "GO". The program will now ask for the
  10. language. A few files will be copied to your harddisk. Please make sure
  11. you have 4 mb free space. Once you have choosen your language, on the
  12. next installation the computer won't ask to install this procedure again.
  13. If you want to change the language, you'll have to delete all files copied 
  14. from the cd-rom to your harddisk. Go to ms-dos and type DELTREE MUSIC.

  16. THE PROGRAM
  17. You will be now automatically in the menu. You'll find following topics:
  18. -C64MUSIC
  19. An amazing collection of music composed for COMMODORE 64 has been
  20. compiled to your PC. You will recognize a lot of songs and remember the
  21. old days. Over 1.000 songs are devided in 4 directories: SID-1, SID-2,
  22. SID-3 and SID-4. We noted that some sound cards caused troubles in this 
  23. program and the sound stopped at once. If this should be the case with 
  24. your configuration, then please follow next instructions: Press the EXIT
  25. button to leave the program.
  26. Go to your harddisk by typing "C:"
  27. Type "CD MUSIC/MMSF/SIDPLAY"
  28. Type "SID"
  29. In 99% of the tested cases, the problem is now solved. To use another
  30. program, please reboot.
  31. -MID FILES
  32. Set"() Background music on" enabled.
  33. Go to "LOAD MIDI/CM FILE" by using the mouse or the tabs. Now choose
  34. one of the categories of songs in the middle of the window. At the left
  35. side, you'll find now the songs to choose from. Using "ALT L" you are
  36. also able to load VOC or WAVE files from another source.
  37. -ADLIB MUSIC
  38. Contains 90 HSC-files for Adlib or compatible cards.
  39. -MODULES
  40. In this topic, you'll find the ultimate experience of sound. Now, you will 
  41. push your soundcard to the limit. Explore the world of latest House, Deep-
  42. House, Techno, New age, Instrumental and Pop-Songs. Files can be loaded from
  43. DMF songs, S3M songs and MOD songs. DMF songs can only be played by X-Shell
  44. while the others can be used in the 3 players to chose from: Iplay. Morgul
  45. and GLK.

  47. UTILITIES
  48. In this last topic, you can modify and change existing MOD, DMF and S3M files
  49. or create your own ones. The more advanced user can try to create his own 
  50. musical experiments. For information on these trackers, please look into the 
  51. HELP files.

  60. Some of the players on this cd are shareware. By purchasing this cd rom, you
  61. are not purchasing the rights to use these programs. In order to obtain the
  62. rights, you must register with the programs's developer. The price you paid 
  63. for this cd rom is the cost of duplication and distribution of these
  64. programs. Before you pay the registration fee, you my evaluate or use the 
  65. programs only as permitted by the author. There may also be other 
  66. restricktions that must be obeyed.

  68. TROUBLESHOOTING
  69. Most of the problems that might occur are caused by wrong-configuration.
  70. Editors and players to change your configuration are on the cd-rom. You'll
  71. find them in directory PLAYER/PLAYERS. In order to chose the right 
  72. configuration, you'll have to check in the manual of your sound card.
