  4. * loads and stores the instrument's 
  5.   song data

  7. WARNING! The GR-1 does not have a
  8. dump request so the SysX data must be
  9. transmitted manually from the instrument.
  10.  
  11. * To request the Song data:
  12.   1) request Song data from the unit
  13.   2) Press the "EDIT/SYSTEM" button
  14.   3) Press "PARAMETER/NEXT" 3 times
  15.   4) "BLK DUMP" should be displayed
  16.   5) Press the "YES" button
  17.   6) Press the "YES" button twice
  18.   7) The Song data is received

  21. WARNING! The GR-1 will only receive
  22. SysX data from the computer while in
  23. a specific mode. If the unit is not in this
  24. specific mode, it will ignore any SysX
  25. received. To enter this mode:

  27. * To receive data with the GR-1
  28.   1) Press the "EDIT/SYSTEM" button
  29.   2) Press "PARAMETER/NEXT" 3 times
  30.   3) "BLK DUMP" should be displayed
  31.   4) Press the "YES" button
  32.   5) Press the "PARAMTER/NEXT" button
  33.       3 times so that RECV is displayed
  34.   7) Send the data from the computer

  37. * Match the Comm Ch to the GR-1's
  38.   device number. The range is 1 - 32 with
  39.   a default of 17. To find the setting, press
  40.   the "EDIT/SYSTEM button, press
  41.   "PARAMETER/NEXT" button 3 time so
  42.   that "BLK DUMP" is displayed. Press the
  43.   "YES" button. Press the "PARAMETER/
  44.   NEXT" button twice to display the
  45.   current device number.

  47. * Ensure that both MIDI In and MIDI Out
  48.   cables are properly connected
