  4. Welcome to Corel Internet Mania for Windows 95 and Windows NT, part
  5. of the Corel CD HOME series.
  6.  
  7. This document provides important information regarding Corel Internet
  8. Mania that wasn't available when the jewel case insert was printed.
  9. Please take time to read it.

  39. There are personal files created during the use of Corel Internet Mania
  40. applications that can't be deleted and, therefore, are left behind
  41. during the Windows 95 Uninstall routine. To remove these files, when
  42. you're finished the Windows 95 Uninstall routine, simply delete the
  43. files left over in the Internet Mania directory. This will completely
  44. remove all Corel Internet Mania files. Windows NT doesn't have an
  45. Uninstall routine.

  48. B. Notes on the Various Applications
  49. ====================================

  51.     1. Obtaining a World Wide Web Browser
  52.         -------------------------------------
  53.     Internet Mania assumes that you already have a World Wide Web
  54.     browser.  If you don't, you will need to get one.  The easiest
  55.     way to do this is to use CorelFTP to get one.  WWW browsers
  56.     are typically free for personal use or evaluation, so the
  57.     following FTP sites (included in CorelFTP's default list of
  58.     sites) should have browsers that you can download and run:

  60.     NCSA Mosaic 2.0           
  61.     ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu
  62.     /Mosaic/Windows/Win95/Mosaic20.exe

  64.     Netscape Navigator

  68.     2. Microsoft Internet Explorer Versions 1 and 2
  69.         -----------------------------------------------
  70.     If you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 1 as your
  71.     WWW browser, it doesn't support newsgroup access and 
  72.     therefore cannot be used as a news reader for NewsScan. 
  73.     Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2, however, does support
  74.     reading from newsgroups. Please contact Microsoft if you 
  75.     require an update for your Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you 
  76.     wish to contact them on the Internet, this is their address:

  80.     3. Changing the Web Browser for the Various Applications
  81.         -------------------------------------------------------------
  82.     All of the Corel Internet Mania applications use the same
  83.     configuration file. Therefore, if you change the browser
  84.     setting on one of them, it will change the setting for all of
  85.     the applications. From within Home Page Author and CorelFTP,
  86.     you cannot configure the Web browser setting, however, these
  87.     applications use the same browser configuration as all of the
  88.     other applications.

  91. C. Troubleshooting Notes and Tips

  94.     1. Placing Your Home Page File in Personal Web Server
  95.         -----------------------------------------------------
  96.     If you use Corel Home Page Author to create a Home Page, you
  97.     must save the home page to generate an HTM file that you can
  98.     drag to your Personal Web Server. 
  99.  
  100.     2. Overlapped Icons in Web Page Update Notifier
  101.         -----------------------------------------------
  102.     Auto icon arrange is always on in Web Page Update Notifier and
  103.     as a result, long filenames for Web Page Update Notifier icons
  104.     may occasionally overlap. The only way to move icons is to
  105.     remove them and re-add them so that they appear at the end of
  106.     the list. If you want to view a sorted list, use the Details
  107.     command in the View menu.

  109.     3. ERROR #70 in NewsScan
  110.         ------------------------
  111.     If you get this error, delete the following files from your
  112.     Internet Mania directory: NEWS.CDX, NEWS.FTP, NEWS.DBF and
  113.     restart the application. Note that your personal settings and
  114.     scan criteria won't be affected by this.
