  25. 1.0  PRODUCT LICENSE AGREEMENT
  26.  
  27. THIS IS AN EVALUATION COPY OF THE SOFTWARE. YOU MAY ONLY
  28. USE THE SOFTWARE FOR THIRTY DAYS.

  30. After thirty days, you must either buy the software 
  31. from McAfee Associates, Inc. or remove it from your 
  32. computer and stop using it. If you are evaluating 
  33. the software for corporate use and need longer than 
  34. thirty days, please contact McAfee to arrange
  35. an extended evaluation.

  37. THERE ARE NO WARRANTY RIGHTS GRANTED TO YOU REGARDING
  38. THE SOFTWARE.

  40. YOUR RIGHT TO USE THIS SOFTWARE IS LIMITED. If you
  41. have already downloaded evaluation copies of this
  42. or prior versions of the software, you are not allowed

  45. rights, you must register and pay for the product 
  46. with McAfee Associates, Inc.

  59. 1.  LICENSE GRANT. McAfee Associates, Inc. ("McAFEE") grants 
  60.     to you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use 
  61.     the SOFTWARE for thirty (30) days for the purpose of 
  62.     your evaluation of the SOFTWARE. This license to use 
  63.     the SOFTWARE is conditioned upon your compliance with 
  64.     the terms of this license agreement. You agree you will 
  65.     only copy the SOFTWARE into any machine-readable or 
  66.     printed form as necessary to use it in accordance with 
  67.     this license or for backup purposes in support of your 
  68.     use of the SOFTWARE. You may:
  69.  
  70.       (i) UPLOAD THIS SOFTWARE TO ANY ELECTRONIC BULLETIN
  71.           BOARD OR
  72.       (ii) DEMONSTRATE THE SOFTWARE AND ITS CAPABILITIES.

  74.     YOU MAY NOT REPRODUCE OR DISTRIBUTE THE SOFTWARE FOR
  75.     RESALE OR OTHER COMMERCIAL PURPOSES, INCLUDING WITHOUT

  79.     This license is effective until the thirtieth (30th)
  80.     day following the date you installed the SOFTWARE.
  81.     At that time, you must cease use of the SOFTWARE and
  82.     remove it from your computer, unless you have paid
  83.     the current registration fee. You may terminate this 
  84.     agreement at any point by destroying the SOFTWARE 
  85.     together with all copies of the SOFTWARE. Also, McAFEE 
  86.     has the option to terminate if you fail to comply with
  87.     any term or condition of this agreement. You agree
  88.     upon such termination to destroy the SOFTWARE
  89.     together with all copies of the SOFTWARE.

  91. 2.  COPYRIGHT. The SOFTWARE is protected by United States 
  92.     copyright law and international treaty provisions.
  93.     You acknowledge that no title to the intellectual
  94.     property in the SOFTWARE is transferred to you. You
  95.     further acknowledge that title and full ownership
  96.     rights to the SOFTWARE will remain the exclusive
  97.     property of McAFEE or its suppliers, and you will not
  98.     acquire any rights to the SOFTWARE except as expressly
  99.     set forth in this license. You agree that any copies
  100.     of the SOFTWARE will contain the same proprietary
  101.     notices which appear on and in the SOFTWARE.

  103. 3.  REVERSE ENGINEERING. You agree that you will not
  104.     attempt to reverse compile, modify, translate, or
  105.     disassemble the SOFTWARE in whole or in part.

  107. 4.  WARRANTY RIGHTS. As this is an evaluation copy,
  108.     McAFEE makes NO WARRANTIES with respect to the
  109.     SOFTWARE. The SOFTWARE is distributed to you AS
  110.     IS, WHERE IS, AND WITH ALL FAULTS. In the event of
  111.     registration, McAFEE will grant you certain warranty
  112.     rights.

  114. 5.  NO OTHER WARRANTIES. McAFEE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE
  115.     SOFTWARE IS ERROR FREE. McAFEE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES

  130. 6.  SEVERABILITY. In the event of invalidity of any
  131.     provision of this license, the parties agree that
  132.     such invalidity shall not affect the validity of
  133.     the remaining portions of this license.

  135. 7.  NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT
  136.     SHALL McAFEE OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR
  137.     ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR INDIRECT
  138.     DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF THE DELIVERY,
  139.     PERFORMANCE, OR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF McAFEE HAS
  140.     BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN
  141.     NO EVENT WILL McAFEE'S LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM,
  142.     WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER THEORY OF
  143.     LIABILITY, EXCEED THE LICENSE FEE PAID BY YOU, IF ANY.

  145. 8.  GOVERNING LAW. This license will be governed by the
  146.     internal laws of the State of California. The United
  147.     Nations Convention on Contracts for the International
  148.     Sale of Goods is specifically disclaimed.

  150. 9.  ENTIRE AGREEMENT. This is the entire agreement between
  151.     you and McAFEE, which supersedes any prior agreement
  152.     or understanding, whether written or oral, relating
  153.     to the subject matter of this license.

  155. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS
  156. Any distribution or license of the SOFTWARE to the U. S.
  157. Government or its agencies or instrumentalities
  158. (the "GOVERNMENT") is made only with RESTRICTED RIGHTS.
  159. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the GOVERNMENT
  160. is subject to restriction as set forth in subparagraph
  161. (c) (1) (ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer
  162. Software clause at DFAR 252.227-7013, or as set forth
  163. in the particular department or agency regulations or
  164. rules that provide McAFEE protection equivalent to or

  392. Before you install a McAfee product that you've downloaded
  393. from an online service, you'll want to verify that the 
  394. files you downloaded are exactly the same as when we 
  395. posted them online. We recommend you perform this task 
  396. for maximum anti-virus protection. Read the following 
  397. paragraphs to learn how to validate your file.
  398.  
  399. Included in the files you downloaded is the Validate 
  400. program. Validate is a file-authentication program 
  401. that you can use to check program files for signs of 
  402. tampering. Validate uses two methods of generating Cyclic 
  403. Redundancy Checks (CRCs), and then displays the information 
  404. so you can compare these statistics against the "known 
  405. value" for the program files. The dual CRC checking provides 
  406. a high degree of security. The known value you use for 
  407. validation usually is provided by the author of the program, 
  408. or you may receive it from a trusted information database. 
  409. You can find the statistics for this McAfee product in the 
  410. file PACKING.LST.
  411.  
  412. To confirm that a program file has not been tampered with, run 
  413. the Validate program and record the validation data produced.
  414. Compare this data against the file statistics the program 
  415. author has specified. If the information matches, most likely 
  416. the program has not been modified since the files were 
  417. placed online.

  419. To run Validate, enter the following command:

  423. where <pathspec> is the name of a directory and file. The
  424. wildcard characters * and ? can be used when specifying
  425. <pathspec>.

  432.      size of file (starting at row 15)
