  4.   Pegasus Mail manual set. For multi-user orders, please consult the file
  5.   ORDER.FRM in this directory. ]

  7. Pegasus Mail is free software - anyone may use it without charge or
  8. obligation. If you wish, you can purchase printed manuals for Pegasus Mail:
  9. we want to stress to you that such a purchase is purely optional, although
  10. manual sales do contribute directly to the ongoing support and maintenance
  11. of the system. Nonetheless, money is not the primary motivation behind
  12. Pegasus Mail and if you find you do not need a manual then we consider
  13. that a compliment.

  15. Single-User manuals are provided as a soft-bound User Guide of about
  16. 60 A4 pages with a short appendix covering issues specific to setup
  17. and operation in the standalone (i.e, non-networked) environment. The
  18. manual is accompanied by a diskette containing the version of Pegasus
  19. Mail/Windows to which it refers. You may not duplicate a Single-User
  20. manual, and it does not include the Network Administrator's Guide for
  21. the program.

  23. Single-User manuals cost US$35.00 or the equivalent in your currency
  24. (see the next section) plus the cost of whichever freight method you
  25. choose.

  28. Single-user orders: terms and conditions.

  30. We have attempted to keep the price of the Single-User manual set as
  31. low as possible, but in order to do so, we have had to apply a few
  32. ordering restrictions (which do NOT apply to multi-user licenses):
  33.  
  34. 1: We cannot accept company purchase orders for Single-User manuals
  35.    unless you are purchasing 5 or more copies (in which case you should
  36.    look at Multi-User licensing in the file ORDER.FRM before placing
  37.    your order). Please note: "company purchase order" in this context
  38.    means an official, payment-on-invoice order form.
  39.  
  40. 2: We require payment with order, either by credit card or cheque. We
  41.    will accept cheques in any currency negotiable in New Zealand,
  42.    provided the cheque is drawn on a bank in the country where that
  43.    currency is used (so, we cannot accept a cheque in US Dollars drawn
  44.    on a Canadian bank, for instance). The cheque you send us must have
  45.    a value equivalent to or greater than the US$ amount of the order;
  46.    we recommend you ask your bank for an exchange rate. At the time
  47.    of writing, we know for sure that we can accept payment in:
  48.    US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Deutschmarks, French and Swiss Francs,
  49.    English Pounds, Italian Lira, Swedish or Danish Kronor, Dutch
  50.    Guilders, and Australian and New Zealand Dollars.

  52. 3: We will accept payment in cash in any of the currencies above, but
  53.    you must add a US$5 (or equivalent) surcharge to cover our bank's
  54.    conversion charge. We STRONGLY urge you NOT to pay by cash unless
  55.    there is no other way, and if you MUST do so, make sure you send
  56.    it by registered mail.

  58. 4: Credit card payments attract a 2.5% surcharge (to recover part of
  59.    what the bank charges us for processing the payment). This will be
  60.    added automatically to the amount charged to your card - you do not
  61.    need to include it in your calculations on the order form.

  63. 5: Orders must be sent to us on the order form which follows this
  64.    section. We cannot accept orders sent using any other form.
  65.  
  66. 6: If you are a US corporation or any other US body which is required
  67.    to perform tax reporting on payments it makes, be advised that
  68.    the vendor is not US-resident for tax purposes and cannot supply
  69.    you with FEINs, SSNs or any other US Tax-related data. Requests
  70.    for this information will not receive replies.

  72. 7: No future upgrades to either the documentation or software are
  73.    included in the price of a Single-User manual, but purchasing a
  74.    manual will entitle you to a small discount on any future copies
  75.    you buy.
