  3. Greetings! Thank you for purchasing Connectix QuickCards Volume 1. We hope you
  4. enjoy this product and that it allows you spread smiles and cheer to the people
  5. to whom you send your QuickCards. This ReadMe file includes a few brief tips
  6. and clarifications in using Connectix QuickCards. In addition to reading this
  7. file, you may wish to have your QuickCards manual handy while you are shopping
  8. for and personalizing your QuickCards!
  9.  
  10. If you are using QuickCards in conjunction with a Connectix QuickCam, you will
  11. want to have the QuickCam installed first so that QuickCards can update the
  12. QuickCam driver. If you are personalizing a QuickCard and the QuickCam image
  13. does not appear to fill the entire image area, verify that you are indeed
  14. using the driver (Quickcam.drv) file provided on your QuickCards CD-ROM.

  16. Saving a card for the Macintosh requires you to save directly to a floppy
  17. disk. This is due to the file format differences between the two platforms.
  18. When you save your QuickCard for playback on a Macintosh, two files are
  19. created: one, with the file name and other information, the other, the
  20. Macintosh QuickCards Player, which will be named "Double-Click Me!" All your
  21. friend has to do to view his or her QuickCard is double-click that file.

  23. Each and every QuickCard has a custom palette. If you are using a video
  24. digitizer other than a Connectix QuickCam it is possible that the QuickCard
  25. palette and the palette of your device do not match 100%. This is purely
  26. cosmetic and will in no way impact the playback or performance of your
  27. QuickCard. (Unfortunately, we were not able to test with EVERY existing
  28. digitizer.)
