WinRec Changes
--------------
V1.0 -> V1.2
------------
- WinRec is Shareware (DM 30.-/$20)
- Oszilloskop/Spektralizer
- no background sampling ('Hintergrundsampling')
- DSP Effects with parameters
- some DSP Effects included
- small bug in DVS pack routine eliminated
V1.2 -> V1.21
-------------
- 'Fast Forward' button while playing
V1.21 -> V1.22
--------------
- 'Default' button in DSP parameter box
- Two new DSP Effects: Pitchbend and Harmonizer
V1.22 -> V1.3
-------------
- 'System Task' button. Record/Playback operation in background.
- External clock can be used (if connected)
- Infoline while Record/Playback with information on free CPU time
and actual position in sample.
V1.3 -> V1.31
-------------
- Running under MiNT pull-downs and dialog boxes no longer block
record/playback in background mode.
- Changed dialog design
- Faster pack-/unpack routines
- Window positions saved in WINREC.CNF
V1.31 -> V1.32
--------------
- Complete new play routine:
* AVR format no longer supported, instead of it the sample
converter "525.PRG" is included.
* Variable buffer length (100-900KB), for better adaptation of
various harddisks
* WinRec now read every packed DVS sample, independent of the
'blocklen' entrie in the header.
- Iconifying supported (under MTOS 1.08 and higher)
- Oszi now showing the signal AFTER passing thru the DSP (if used)
V1.32 -> V1.33
--------------
- During record/playback now you can't change the buffer size. This
was a never planed feature in the last version!
- WinRec can use D2D effects directly. For this purpose the PAR file
syntax was extended. The command 'EFFMODE D2D' tells WinRec that
a effect uses D2D standard to communicate with the DSP:
* After every change of a parameter, ALL values are send to the
DSP (in order of the PAR file)
Additional features:
* DSP interrupt $13 resets the effect-internal parameter counter
* DSP interrupt $14 reinitialize the effect (not used in WinRec)
D2D comes free with every FALCON in USA. Just copy the LOD files
in the 'D2D-EFF' folder of WinRec. PAR files for all the effects
(execpt ring modulation) are already in this folder.
- Smooth effect sliders
- Parameter window now opens automatically
V1.33 -> V1.34
--------------
- All DSP effects are now displayed in a submenu. WinRec looks for
LOD-files in the 'LODS'-folder (and all sub-folders) in the home
directory of WinRec. The submenu shows the full effect title from
the PAR-file (if existing).
- WinRec now allocates memory via 'Mxalloc' from ST RAM. I hope to
avoid problems with virtuell memory management (like Outside or VRAM).
- WinRec now plays short samples ( < buffer size) correctly.
- Bug (causing a deadlock) when using 'Outside' is fixed.
V1.34 -> V1.35
--------------
- Now the use of the DSP submenu while record/playback is possible (if
'System Task' option is on!)
- The position of the DSP parameters window is saved when leaving WinRec
V1.35 -> V1.35r
---------------
- No functionally changes! This version could be transformed in a registrated
WinRec by using a "key". You get this code after paying the shareware fee.
- You can use the new menu entry "Options/Registrate..." to type in your
personified key. Then WinRec creates a "KEY.DAT" file on the harddisk. Next
time you start WinRec, it is registrated to your name (if it was the right
key!)
V1.35r -> V1.36
---------------
- WinRec can now use different languages. The translated texts are saved in
the AKPx.DAT files. For more information read the LANGUAGE.TXT file.
- You can now save up to 16 sets (slider positions) per DSP effect.
V1.36 -> V1.37
--------------
**** Last (shareware) version with new functions ****
******** available in january: WinRec Pro **********
- New AKP file format. Read the LANGUAGE.TXT file.
- Spektralizer now shows the frequency while the mouse is in the window
- Extended PAR file format. Read the DSPEFF.TXT file.
- Extended DVS file header. Read the DVS.TXT file.
- Using special DSP effects, WinRec shows the highest sampling value (peak
level). After recording a sample, it will be saved in the (extended)
DVS header.
- WinRec now understand the MTOS Drag&Drop
- WinRec supports file names up to 32 characters (with MTOS and Minix FS)
- A second click on the spektralizer radiobutton toggles between two resolutions
