Transcription: The sound and spectacle of a waterfall has an almost hypnotic appeal. Niagara Falls, on the border of Canada and the United States, attracts millions of tourists each year. Angel Falls in southeastern Venezuela is the highest waterfall in the world, with a drop of more than 3,200 feet. Victoria Falls, on the Zambezi River, is one of the most unusual falls because its drop about twice the distance of Niagara Falls is so abrupt. No rapids warn river travelers of the danger ahead. Waterfalls offer more than beauty. Their strong currents are often harnessed to generate electricity.
