  57. The mach64 device drivers supplied here are for Windows 3.1 and 
  58. Windows 3.11. 
  59.  
  60. THIS ZIP FILE CONTAINS DISPLAY DRIVER FILES ONLY.

  63. 2.0     Installation Notes
  64.  
  65. IF YOU HAVE NOT INSTALLED A mach64 WINDOWS DRIVER PREVIOUSLY, YOU MAY 
  66. REQUIRE YOUR MICROSOFT WINDOWS DISKETTES TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION 
  67. OF THIS DRIVER.  
  68.  
  69. 1. Ensure that you have a copy LOAD64.ZIP.  It is available on the ATI 
  70. BBS, ftp site (ftp.atitech.ca), and on our CompuServe forum (GO 
  71. ATITECH).
  72.  
  73. 2. Ensure that you have a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE 2.04G.  PKUNZIP is 
  74. available on most BBS and information services, including the ATI BBS 
  75. and CompuServe.
  76.  
  77. 3. Do NOT attempt to perform the driver installation from within 
  78. Windows Exit Windows completely, and perform the following operations 
  79. in DOS.
  80.  
  81. 4. Unzip LOAD64.ZIP and 64W31222.ZIP into the same temporary directory 
  82. on your hard disk, then run the LOAD64 utility.  For example:
  83.  
  84. MD \ATITEMP
  85. PKUNZIP LOAD64.ZIP \ATITEMP
  86. PKUNZIP 64W31222.ZIP \ATITEMP
  87. CD \ATITEMP
  88. LOAD64
  89.  
  90. 5. Follow the screen prompts for installing the Windows 3.1 driver.  
  91.  
  92. IF YOU RECEIVE AN ERROR MESSAGE, INDICATING THAT A CERTAIN FONT (.fon) 
  93. FILE IS NOT PRESENT, YOU WILL NEED TO RUN WINDOWS SETUP FROM DOS TO 
  94. COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION.  WINDOWS SETUP WILL PROMPT YOU FOR THE 
  95. DISKS ON WHICH THESE FONT FILES ARE FOUND.

  97. 6. Once the driver has been installed, you can delete the contents of 
  98. the temporary directory (DEL \ATITEMP\*.*) and delete the directory 
  99. itself (RD \ATITEMP).  
  100.  
  101. 7. We recommend that you keep a copy of the ZIP files (64W31222.ZIP 
  102. and LOAD64.ZIP), in case you need to install the driver again.
