NOVEMBER 27, 1970 Awarded the Nobel prize for literature. 1973 "The Gulag Archipelago" published in Paris. FEBRUARY 13, 1974 Receives decree of exile from U.S.S.R .; flies to Switzerland. AUGUST 1990 His Russian citizenship is restored. MAY 27, 1994 Returns to Russia.
