The following five-part message on the Psychopolitics of Gun Control is
presented in Amateur Radio Packet format. Any licensed Amateur Radio station
may, at his or her option, capture the messages as presented and upload them to
Amateur Radio Packet so long as the first line -- the 'sb FFNET @ ALLUS' (etc)
line -- is preserved and is used as the address line when uploading to a packet
BBS. This line contains, following the '$', the forced BID which will prevent
dupes on the packet radio network. This will serve the purpose of 'filling in
the gaps' of the packet radio network to defeat censorship at certain forwarding
nodes.

Control
I find it astonishing that the great victory speeches
conducted by the gun controllers upon signing of the
so-called Brady Bill are almost word-for-word the same
speeches made after the hard-fought passage of the Gun
Control Act of 1968. "At LAST," the pontificaters
pontificate, "we will have a SAFER AMERICA." "At LAST,"
they bubble, "the MADNESS can STOP."
Oh, yeah? Then why didn't it stop after the Gun Control
Act of 1968? Why didn't it stop after the Gun Control Act
of 1934? Why didn't it stop after the National Firearms
Act of 1934?
A few adamant supporters of the Gun Control Act of 1968
sat back with self-satisfied smirks on their faces waiting
for their handiwork to take effect and reduce the violence
in our cities. A few of these -- the ones who were
CAPABLE of thinking but who had not been made privy to the
REAL agenda behind gun control -- became concerned when
the foreseen reduction in violence didn't happen. They
wondered Why. They investigated the Why. And upon
completing their investigation, became adamant opponents
to gun control in any form.
Paxton Quigley, former gun control activist on unSenator
Ted Kennedy's staff and now combat arms instructor and
authoress of the EXCELLENT book "ARMED AND FEMALE" comes
immediately to mind as an example. While written for the
female who is contemplating the purchase of a weapon for
self defense, I nonetheless recommend it heartily for the
male reader as well -- who may find out he doesn't know as
much about the combat use of firearms as he thought he did.
The Gun Control Act of 1968 was also the cause celebre
behind the attack on the Randy Weaver family in Bonner's
Ferry, Idaho, last August. Weaver was allegedly entrapped
by a "good friend" into sawing a whole one quarter inch
off a couple of shotguns he sold to the friend, and the
friend turned out to be a shill, or perhaps a sworn agent,
for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. That
one quarter inch cost one individual who was engaged in a
criminal act his life (U.S. Marshal's Service SOG Super-
visor Billy Degan, who was engaged in armed criminal tres-
pass on the Weaver property without a warrant), and two
innocent people their lives (Samuel Weaver, aged 14, shot
in the back four times by a gov't agent, and his mother,
Vicki Weaver, aged 41, shot once in the forehead by a
government sniper).
The Gun Control Act of 1968 was also the cause celebre
behind the assault and murder of over a hundred Branch
Davidians near Waco, Texas, though the major portion of
the search warrant authorizing the raid dealt not with
violations of the Gun Control Act of 1968, which didn't
even seriously reach the level of a suspicion, let alone
anything approaching probable cause, but instead dealt
with allegations of child abuse and non-standard marital
arrangements, both of which had previously been investi-
gated by Texas authorities and found to be baseless, and
neither of which are within the bailiwick of the Bureau
of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms to investigate in the
first place. And apparently no illegal or improper
weapons were found, or you can bet those clowns would
have been displaying them to cover their bare tail they
left cooking over the Mt. Carmel inferno they started.
It seems astonishing to many that when arguments are
presented in favor of gun control, those who believe in
the right to keep and bear arms demolish those arguments
every single time. Every single so-called 'study' the gun
controllers have presented to bolster their side has
turned out to be a fraud, and we can and often do prove
it. We can cite chapter and verse on the reality of the
situation time and time again, and time and time again we
have been proven to be correct. Yet we keep losing the
fight against gun control. Why?
The answer is simple: The whole gun control argument is
based upon a premise which we, those who believe in the
right to keep and bear arms, have been suckered into
supporting. We have been SUCKERED into AGREEING with the
gun controllers on this one basic premise of the gun
controllers, and as a result THEY control the agenda of
the argument, THEY control the turf, and THEY control the
order of battle. They also control the courts, who are
turning violent criminals back onto the streets at a
record rate, thus exacerbating the problem of criminal
violence SO THEY CAN BLAME IT ON THE GUNS.
This is the finest example to date of the art of
psychopolitics used to destroy the power and will of a
society to defend itself.
That one premise to the argument, the one we have been
SUCKERED into agreeing to, is this: That it is of utmost
importance that we PREVENT, at ANY cost, a firearm from
falling into the hands of a violent felon, a mental
defective, a person who is violently or even non-violently
insane, and any child.
This is both a patently false premise and a red herring:
It is a false premise because it is not necessary to go to
draconian lengths to prevent the felon, the insane, or the
child from getting his hands on a gun. It is only necess-
ary to ensure that the LAW-ABIDING people may acquire
personal defensive weapons unfettered by any restriction
whatsoever. This has been proven over and over and over
again: Where firearms are freely available to the law-
abiding public, the crime rate goes down. The felon,
armed or not, moves on to greener pastures (like Washing-
ton D.C. or New York, where his victims are prohibited
by 15-year jail terms from defending themselves). The
mental defective and the insane are either more strictly
monitored by those who care for them to ensure they don't
get killed off by someone acting in self-defense, or they
get killed off by someone acting in self-defense. The
CHILDREN realize two things: 1) with this many law-abiding
adults around to protect me, I don't need to carry a gun;
and 2) if I pick up a gun I am promoting myself to the
status of an adult and I will die if I'm not ready for
that responsibility. End of problem.
It is a red herring because the leaders and major
activists of the gun control movement KNOW it is a false
premise and because it is not the INTENT of those leaders
and major activists to "stop the madness" or achieve a
"safer America." The purpose of gun control has NOTHING
TO DO WITH reducing the level of random and endemic
violence in our inner cities or anywhere else. It has
to do with restoring a feudal form of government our
forefathers overthrew in 1781, which is now masquerading
under a new name and calling itself "the New World Order."
It is supported by the same aristocratic world banking and
finance dynasties that funded the other side in both the
American Revolution and the War of 1812, and it is
supported by Marxist terrorist organizations such as the
Institute for Policy Studies, which in turn has been
supported with great sums of money from the New World
Foundation then overseen by Chair of the Board of
Directors Hillary Rodham Clinton
