  15.     This week's Report covers the time period from midnight Thursday
  16.     morning, February 2, Pacific Standard Time, to midnight 
  17.     Wednesday night, February 8, 1995, Pacific Standard Time.  We 
  18.     recorded 257 earthquakes of M1.0 or larger during the 7-day period 
  19.     covered.
  20.         It was another quiet week, dominated by Landers/Big Bear
  21.     and Northridge aftershocks.  As we predicted based on the mainshock
  22.     sizes, the Northridge aftershock sequence is decaying faster than
  23.     the Landers sequence is and is now at a lower overall level, in
  24.     spite of the fact that the Northridge quake happened more recently.
  25.         The largest event of the week happened to be a Northridge
  26.     aftershock M3.4 very early Wednesday morning.  It was felt in
  27.     the northern San Fernando Valley.  In Pasadena, it seems to have
  28.     been felt only by dogs, who proceded to wake everyone else up.
  29.     A M2.4 in the same area about two and a half hours earlier was felt
  30.     by a few people.
  31.         The table lists the quakes this week that were M2.0 or 
  32.     larger in the central part of the coverage area.  Times are local 
  33.     times; if you want Greenwich Mean Time, add 7 hrs to the Pacific 
  34.     Daylight Time or 8 hrs to the Pacific Standard Time listed.
