  16.     This week's Report covers the time period from midnight Thursday
  17.     morning, January 26, Pacific Standard Time, to midnight 
  18.     Wednesday night, February 1, 1995, Pacific Standard Time.  We 
  19.     recorded 265 earthquakes of M1.0 or larger during the 7-day period 
  20.     covered.
  21.         It was a relatively quiet week, still dominated by the
  22.     Northridge and Lander/Big Bear aftershock sequences.  Only two 
  23.     events were reported as felt.  The first felt quake was a M2.9 
  24.     Northridge aftershock in the wee hours of Friday morning.  The 
  25.     occurred at 5 am on Monday, in the Compton area, a M2.6.
  26.         Isn't it nice that a random distribution of seismicity 
  27.     means that it is quiet sometimes?
  28.         The table lists the quakes this week that were M2.0 or 
  29.     larger in the central part of the coverage area.  Times are local 
  30.     times; if you want Greenwich Mean Time, add 7 hrs to the Pacific 
  31.     Daylight Time or 8 hrs to the Pacific Standard Time listed.
