  8.     MaxDir is NOT shareware or commercial. It's free. It won't cost you
  9.     anything. MaxDir is a full-featured program that makes an archived list
  10.     of all the files available on your BBS. Also makes a newfiles list, OLR
  11.     list for offline readers, sorts your file lists, adopts orphan files,
  12.     moves files and many other features. Full support for wildcards and
  13.     fully qualified filename\path in file lists and many other features. You
  14.     have full flexibility to use or not use any of MaxDir's many powerful
  15.     options.

  17.     Filenames and descriptions separated by comment lines are sorted but not
  18.     moved outside of their commented area. A listing of all files available
  19.     on your BBS for downloading is created, as well as an optional NewFiles
  20.     list, a File Request List (for Binkleyterm, Frontdoor, etc.), and a
  21.     NewFiles.dat list (for your offline mail readers). You have complete
  22.     flexibility to select which file areas you do not want displayed in your
  23.     listings based on security levels, Maximus keys, FileBarricades and even
  24.     those you name specifically. MaxDir can, if instructed by you, also
  25.     create headers for your individual FILES.BBS files, and, if instructed
  26.     by you, put MECCA colours in the headers so your BBS callers, when
  27.     listing your files, will see a very beautiful listing while on line.
  28.     MaxDir can use an archive program like PKZIP and archive your listings
  29.     automatically when it's done. It does all of this (and a bunch of other
  30.     stuff too) in just one pass. And above all ── it's fast!
