  17. What's new with this release?
  18. ─────────────────────────────

  20. - An Auto-Install feature.  CD-ROM PRO will now create a directory where
  21.   necessary, then automatically install your selections to your hard
  22.   drive wherever possible.
  23.  
  24. - File key words have been optimized, and now take up slightly less disk
  25.   space.  Alternate "non-standard characters" are no longer supported.

  28. Users of CD-ROM PRO version 2.x

  31. - Changes to the file format require that the databases be upgraded.
  32.   Install the essential files, and the upgrade files.  If you are installing
  33.   from the diskette supplied by the author rather than manually installing
  34.   from an archive (such as CDPRO30.SDN or CDPRO30.ZIP), the installation
  35.   program will run UPGRADE3.BAT.  If you're installing from an archive, run
  36.   UPGRADE3.BAT after unarchiving *.EXE *.HLP *.FIL *.BAT *.CNF and *.DOC.
  37.   This process may take several hours depending of the size of your
  38.   database and the speed of your machine.
  39.   You will require hard drive space equal to the size of your databases
  40.   (found by typing DIR PRO*.* in your CD-ROM PRO directory).

  50. Registered Users receive the latest registered version on diskette (see
  51. shipping notes below), a registration key, and the latest beta of any
  52. "version-in-the-works", if applicable.  Upgrades within the major version
  53. number (I.E. all 3.x versions) are free.

  55. Shipping of the current copy of CD-ROM PRO is included for destinations
  56. within Canada, the U.S., Australia and Europe.
  57. For other countries, please add $5 U.S., or exact postage if known.
  58. All non-Canadian registrants are asked to pay with U.S. funds.

  60. The registered version includes automated file listing import (searches CDs
  61. for FILES.BBS; SCRIPTing not necessary in many cases), sample SCRIPTs
  62. for popular CD-ROMs, and extra utilities and reports. It also includes
  63. the "replace/add description from FILE_ID.DIZ within archives" feature!
