  10.     You have just obtained a copy of  SUPER*SEARCH  V1.4a, a power packed 
  11.     file location utility.

  13.     Advanced features such as search by DATE, SIZE, ATTRIBUTE, TEXT WORD, 
  14.     and PATTERN MATCH are standard.

  16.     Built-in commands COPY, MOVE, or DELETE files that match your 
  17.     specification.

  19.     A VERIFY feature lets you control the action on a file-by-file or 
  20.     all-at-once basis.

  22.     Preset the program to your preferences for Colors, Drives to search, 
  23.     Screen Pause, and more.

  65.     SUPER*SEARCH is easy to get running. Copy the file  SS.EXE  to a 
  66.     directory in your PATH.

  68.     Type   SS <enter>.

  78.     The manual is (hopefully) formatted for a page length of 66 lines.

  83.     EXE COMPRESSION
  84.     ===============
  85.     SUPER*SEARCH is aware of being compressed by utilities like LZEXE and 
  86.     PKLITE. While in this compressed state, the program will refuse to 
  87.     allow a CONFIGURATION operation. This is because the operation will 
  88.     fail and expand the file to nearly its original size. 
  89.  
  90.     However, don't let the above facts stop you from using SUPER*SEARCH in 
  91.     a compressed state. Once you decide on a setup you are comfortable 
  92.     with, the program will run fine as a 23k compressed file.  Indeed, at 
  93.     23k per copy, you can afford to have two or more copies of SUPER*SEARCH 
  94.     reside on your system. Each copy can be preset to have its own unique 
  95.     configuration prior to compression.

  99.     Last minute feature
  100.     ===================
  101.     A last minute addition to the program did not make it into the 
  102.     user manual. The TODAY Option has been modified to accept a numeric 
  103.     parameter to be (subtracted) from the current date. This facilitates 
  104.     using the TODAY command to tell you about YESTERDAY (-1 day), a week 
  105.     ago from TODAY (-7 days) and so on.
  106.  
  107.     The numeric modifier is entered in a NON STANDARD manner when compared 
  108.     to all other SUPER*SEARCH Options. The following examples illustrate 
  109.     the proper way to use a  modified  TODAY Option;
  110.

  112.          SS /T                     regular  SUPER*SEARCH  TODAY Option
  113.                                    show all files  dated  TODAY

  115.          SS /T1                    show all files  dated YESTERDAY (-1)

  121.     parameter. See the manual for proper Usage of other Options.
