Cultural Distribution A.D. 500 - European Contact.
After A.D. 500 archaeological data becomes much more abundant. Many populations were growing and natural processes have had less time to destroy archaeological sites. Moreover, prehistoric and historic archaeological sites can be associated with each other and, thus, the archaeological record can be complemented by historical data.
