What Canadian potters normally supplied for Canadian homes were the wares needed behind the scenes for the kitchen, pantry and storage basement. This 1856 advertisement for Warner & Co. of Toronto gives an idea both of the wares produced and of the prices. The business was a small one and by 1860 William Warner was bankrupt, only four years after he had established his pottery.
