Not all immigrant children were poor. This photograph shows the house and workshop of tinsmith Joseph Granovsky. It was located on Selkirk Avenue, the main street of the North End. The children are well-cared for, well-dressed and well-housed. Note the profusion of flowers, still common around North End homes.
