  1. Whaling Grounds in the Beaufort Sea.

  3.      The arrows indicate the route followed by whalers during a season's voyage. The bowhead travelled eastward as far as Amundsen Gulf. They migrated north into the Beaufort Sea each summer and in September returned southward to the Bering Sea.
