The hardy and erstwhile members of the Winnipeg Canoe Club manned the fire halls at the behest of the Citizens Committee. Though mocked by the strikers and plagued with false alarms, they did provide much needed protection. Here they are putting out a serious blaze which engulfed the roof of the Auditorium Rink early in the strike.
