This card was displayed on the sides of bread and milk trucks, in front of movie houses and restaurants, etc. Though the decision to operate these services was made jointly with City Council, the wording of the cards gave the impression that the Strike Committee, alone, was now responsible for the operation of essential services. This was construed as a take-over of power by the Strike Committee. In other words: Revolution.
