Rebuffed in their attempt to radicalize the Trades and Labour Congress of Canada, western workers met at Calgary in March 1919 to plan the founding of the OBU; a Marxist, syndicalist organization. The OBU's appearance panicked businessmen and governments who believed it to be the first move towards revolution. The poster's message to the Canadian public is obvious.
