Vancouverites are understandably proud of their city's natural setting with mountains, water and large evergreens never far away. This aerial photograph, taken about 1970, focuses on the city's central business district. In the left centre is a portion of Stanley Park, while in the distant background across Burrard Inlet is the residential suburb of North Vancouver. Grouse Mountain at the top right is a local ski area. It is a twenty minute drive from the city's centre.
