The Corpus Christi procession was an annual event along the streets of Valleyfield. The MontrÄal Cotton Company mill can be seen in the distance. Notice the women's apparel. The young girls standing somewhat further back are wearing more colourful dresses, but all are dressed in their best for this festive occasion.
