Jean Marchand of CTCC is here showing the blackened eyes of a striker who was allegedly beaten by the police. After the arrest, strikers were taken to the Iroquois Club to undergo violent interrogations where they were liberally kicked, punched and whipped. When they were freed, a number of them had swollen faces or showed signs of having been beaten.
