In this turn-of-the-century photograph taken in the heart of the foothill ranch country on the main street of Pincher Creek, one again sees the working cowboy as he was to be found throughout the region before World War I. Like so many of his contemporaries "Rawhide" came to the Canadian West as a young man from Great Britain.
