In this artist's re-creation prehistoric hunters are shown intercepting bison crossing the narrow arm of glacial Lake Peace. Their success depended upon skill, bravery, and weapons similar to ones seen in the previous slide, as well as on an element of surprise afforded by the natural setting, As soon as the surviving bison had fled, women accompanying the hunters would butcher the dead animals.
