These three structures, rescued from destruction in the late 1960s and restored externally to their original appearance by John Labatt Limited, are representative of the finest of early London architecture. The most southerly building was constructed in 1835-1836 as the London Branch of the Bank of Upper Canada. The structure to the extreme north shows evidence of a mixture of architectural styles. Its inharmonious transition from the plain Georgian design of the two southern buildings well demonstrates the effect of the constant changes of style on the appearance of the city.
