In contrast to photographs of Sandon is this artist's conception of the nearby town of Cody, terminus of the Kaslo and Slocan Railway. This illustration, designed to encourage investment, presents a romanticized view of spaciousness and order which was somewhat misleading given the terrain of the Slocan district. Note some of the mines illustrated in the slide. The Reco tramway presumably replaces the Reco rawhide trail shown in slide 2.
