Shown is the re-emerging community, only weeks after the disastrous fire. Relief trains had brought in medical supplies, food, tents, clothing, and militia. The vigorous rebirth was stimulated by the town's continuing function as the service centre for several mines, especially the nearby Dome mine, one of the three major mines in the Porcupine.
