  1. These disk images are combined boot/root/rescue install disks.

  3.     generic.img   (generic)
  4.     pcmcia.img    (IDE/PCMCIA)
  5.  
  6. To transfer to floppy, use a command such as
  7.  
  8.     cat generic.img >/dev/fd0
  9.  
  10. or
  11.  
  12.     dd if=generic.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=1024
  13.  
  14. or
  15.     ..\dosutils\rawrite    (from DOS)
  16.

  18. Then use the disk to boot and install.
  19.  
  20. There are three virtual consoles (<Left-Alt>+<F1-3>) for login,
  21. and three for debugging (<Left-Alt>+<F6-8>).

  24. Install disks that more specifically target particular hardware
  25. configurations can be found in the 1213/ subdirectory of this
  26. directory.  1213/image.idx is a map of image tags to SCSI/net/CD
  27. configurations.

  29. These disk images will be updated from time to time, and will be
  30. available from  http://www.caldera.com/  and  ftp.caldera.com.
