  21. HDFixer        Some of the newer A3000's have high density floppy drives.  In
  22.         the 37.175 version of kickstart, HD disks are not completely
  23.         supported in HD mode.  This program patches the system so that

  25.         the floppy drive.  Requires Workbench 2.04.  This is version

  141. PgmToShd    Takes a standard PGM format graphics image and creates from it
  142.         a PPM image containing information to view black and white
  143.         images in 151 shades of gray instead of the Amiga's standard
  144.         16.  It uses the monochrome composite video output jack avail-
  145.         able on the Amiga 500 and 2000, so provided you have one of
  146.         these computers and a monitor capable of receiving its input
  147.         through composite video, no modifications are required to the
  148.         Amiga.  The PBMPlus library of graphics manipulation routines
  149.         is required to make use of this program, as well as a standard
  150.         IFF viewer such as Mostra.  A sample test image is included.

  208. IFSLab        An Iterated Function System fractal generator.  This one
  209.         focuses on the "Collage Theorem".  It permits you to draw an
  210.         approximate outline of the planned fractal, then create the
  211.         collage directly, jigsaw-puzzle style, from actual reduced
  212.         images of the outline that you can manipulate and deform with
  213.         the mouse.  The attractors of the resultant IFS codes can be
  214.         rendered in black and white or in grayscale, and saved to IFF

  287. SCRAM500    The first of a series of Public Domain "KitWare" hardware
  288.         projects for the Amiga.  On this disk you will find the design
  289.         for an 8Meg RAM and SCSI controller for the Amiga 500 (SCsi
  290.         RAM for the 500 = SCRAM 500).  You will also find an order
  291.         form to obtain PCB, chips and whatever you need to build one.
  292.         The SCRAM 500 is easy to build, cheap and should be useful to
  293.         a lot of people.  Included in this distribution is complete
  294.         documentation on how to assemble a SCRAM 500, notes for Amiga
  295.         1000 owners, a description of the custom chips, design notes,
  296.         troubleshooting guide, user's manual, bill of materials, 12

  312.         programming environment.  This is version 1.7, an update to
  313.         version 1.6 on disk 592.  Includes example source and execu-
  314.         table files.  Binary only.

  317. IFFConvert    A program to convert the different compression methods of IFF
  318.         ILBM files.  It supports the normal compression, a new com-
  319.         pression method that compresses column by column instead of

  324. MungWall    Munges memory and watches for illegal FreeMem's.  Especially
  325.         useful in combination with Enforcer.  Output can go to either
  326.         the serial or parallel port.  Includes a new MungList program

  328.         outputs a list of who owns the various pieces of allocated
  329.         memory, their sizes, etc.  Can even identify the owner of the
  330.         memory by task name.  This is version 37.52, an update to
  331.         version 37.51 on disk 659.  Binary only.

  334. ReOrg        ReOrg is a fast disk optimizer that can be used for floppy
  335.         disks and hard disks.  Supports new Kickstart 2.04 features

  338.         Kickstart 2.04 only.  This is version 2.3, an update to ver-
  339.         sion 2.1 on disk 678.  Shareware, binary only.

  342. Shrink        A new archiver that uses dynamic arithmetic encoding with a
  343.         dictionary size from 1-64Kb.  Slower than other archivers, but
  344.         seems to get better compression ratios.  Another interesting
  345.         feature is that it uses a new IFF format for it's archive
  346.         files.  Version 1.1, binary only.

  349. Sizer        Reports the size of selected disk objects (including subdir-
  350.         ectories).  It reports the number of bytes in all plain files
  351.         and the number of blocks occupied by files and directories.
