  7. Crystals    A computer simulation of three-dimensional crystal lattices
  8.         which permit you to observe stereoscopic views of any of the
  9.         fourteen Bravais lattices with a variety of orientations,
  10.         while rotating and posititioning them in real time.  The
  11.         frame rate is between 10 and 30 frames per second, depending
  12.         upon the options selected and the Amiga being used.  It is
  13.         primarily intended for educators and students in physics,
  14.         chemistry, and geology.  It is most suitable for use in con-
  15.         junction with a course in solid state physics, or a course

  34. SuperDuper    A very fast disk copier and formatter.  Can make up to four
  35.         unverified copies from a ram buffer in 36 seconds.  Verified
  36.         copies from a ram buffer take 67 seconds for one destination
  37.         drive, plus 34 seconds for each additional destination.  This
  38.         is version 2.01, an update to version 2.0 on disk 561.  Now
  39.         includes a program to fine tune some fields in the trackdisk
  40.         device, and a "no click" type program.  Binary only.

  57. Vim        Vi IMitation.  A clone of the UNIX text editor "vi".  Very
  58.         useful for editing programs and other plain ASCII text.
  59.         Based on Stevie (disk 256) with many enhancements such as
  60.         multilevel undo, command line history, improved command line
  61.         editing, full vi compatibility (except Q and zn commands),
  62.         command typeahead display, command to display yank buffers,
  63.         unlimited line length, ability to edit binary files, file
  64.         name stack, support for Manx QuickFix, shows current file
  65.         name in window title, etc.  Internal storage structures
  66.         have been redesigned for optimal speed and memory usage.

  76. CirclesUp    A simple little two player game where circles fly into the
  77.         playing area from both sides of the screen.  When each player
  78.         presses his corresponding ALT key they fly to the top of the
  79.         screen and stop moving when they hit another circle or the
  80.         border.  The object of the game is to connect a specified
  81.         number of circles of the same color.  Version 1.0, includes
  82.         source.

  85. EZAsm        Combines parts of "C" with 68000 assembly language. Produces
  86.         highly optimized code.  Supports all 2.0 functions and more.
  87.         Comes bundled with A68k and Blink, for a complete programming
  88.         environment.  This is version 1.6, an update to version 1.5
  89.         on disk 484.  Includes example source and executable files.

  93. LAZi        A graphic interface for the archive utilities Lharc, Arc, and
  94.         Zoo.  LAZi will add, delete, extract, and update single or
  95.         multiple files, list and test archives, allow you to read

  97.         figuration file that holds the locations of your work direct-
  98.         ories, archive utilities, and its position when iconified.

  102. NumbersUp    A simple little game where numbers fly into the playing area
  103.         from both sides of the screen.  When you click the mouse but-
  104.         ton, they fly to the top of the screen and stick there.  The
  105.         score is determined by what numbers the current number lands
  106.         near, and the game ends when the same numbers end up adjacent
  107.         to each other.  Version 1.2, includes source.

  110. PublicService    A screen clock intended for those whose day revolves around a
  111.         series of breaks; this one counts down the minutes to each
  112.         break, and complains if you're at the Amiga outside working
  113.         hours!  All break times are contained in a small text file
  114.         (example given).  Times are expressed in words rather than
  115.         numbers.  Includes source.

  118. QuickTrans    Freely redistributable replacement for mathtrans.library,
  119.         containing faster versions of all 17 functions, with almost
  120.         the same accuracy.  Trigonometric functions are 2 to 2.5 times
  121.         as fast.  Logarithmic, exponential and hyperbolic functions
  122.         are about 3 times as fast.  Version 1.0, binary only.

  154.         of Elements.  Includes general row and column information,

  158.         AmigaDOS 2.0 fixes, a new icon, and Swedish and German data
  159.         files.  Binary only, shareware.

  162. LhA        A very fast archiver that is compatible with MS-DOS LhArc
  163.         V1.13 and LHA V2.13, as well as the Amiga LhArc.  LhA is
  164.         very memory efficient, has been written with stability
  165.         and reliability in mind, has carefully optimized compression
  166.         and decompression routines, is multitasking reentrant and
  167.         pure, handles multiple volume archives (registered version
  168.         only), and more.  Version 1.11, an update to version 1.0 on

  232. HOW        A game where the aim is to get a ball from the start square
  233.         to the exit square, while trying to turn all squares to the
  234.         same color.  As the ball moves across a square, the color of

  240.         the colors of your icons between the older 1.3 and the new

  244. P-Compress    A gimmick-free and very easy to use program for most compres-
  245.         sion requirements.  Uses the latest LZH compression algor-
  246.         ithms.  Can handle single files, whole drawers, disks, or

  248.         PACK mode it can consolidate files into less space than whole-
  249.         disk compression tools or archivers.  This is version 2.1, an

  271. RayShade    Rayshade is a ray tracing program ported to the Amiga from
  272.         UNIX.  Rayshade's features include nine types of primitives
  273.         (box, cone cylinder, height field, plane, polygon, sphere,
  274.         superquadric, flat triangle and phong-shaded triangle);
  275.         composite objects; point, directional, and extended (area)
  276.         light sources;  solid procedural texturing and bump mapping
  277.         of primitives; antialiasing through adaptive supersampling;
  278.         arbitrary linear transformations on primitives; and more.
  279.         This is version 3.0 patchlevel 5 and includes sources in C.

  300.         rules, and contains the original game as a subset.  This is

  305. IconTools    Four programs to manage some aspects of icons using the
  306.         Intuition interface and allowing one operate on many icons at
  307.         once by shift-clicking.  FloatIcon 1.05 sets an icon so that
  308.         the Workbench can freely place an icon in a drawer window.
  309.         ReplaceTool 2.04 sets a new default tool for project icons
  310.         using the Workbench icons or a file requester.  ReplaceImage
  311.         1.01 changes the image of icons to that of another.  Swap-
  312.         Colors 1.01 swaps colors 1 and 2 in icon images.  The last
  313.         two programs will be useful for converting to the "new look"
  314.         of Workbench 2.0.  Includes source in JForth Professional

  400.         style.  Simply requires a letter in .tex format and a file of

  406. MoG        A demonstration version of a commercial molecular graphics
  407.         program.  Stick representations of molecules may be rotated,
  408.         translated and scaled on screen and changes may be made to
  409.         structures.  `Space filling' pictures may also be generated
  410.         using quick preview, shading, or ray-tracing. The demonstra-
  411.         tion version allows only one of two structures to be dis-
  412.         played and does not allow space filling, though some sample
  413.         space-filled structures are included.  Version 1.03D, binary

  417. PrLabel        A utility to print laser printer labels. Support 3x8, 2x8
  418.         and 2x7 A4 label sheets.  The program may easily be modified

  423. RxilShell    A set of routines to form an additional layer between the
  424.         programmer and ARexx.  Rxil_shell sits on top of rxil on
  425.         disk 299 and contains a few changes and bug fixes to the
  426.         rxil routines.  Using these routines, adding ARexx support
  427.         to a program becomes completely trivial.  Version 1.0,
  428.         includes C source.

  432.         library supplies gadtools-like 3D look gadgets (including
