  7. DNet        A link protocol that provides essentially an unlimited
  8.         number of reliable connections between processes on
  9.         two machines, where each end of the link can be
  10.         either an Amiga or a Unix (BSD4.3) machine.  Works
  11.         on the Amiga with any EXEC device that looks like the
  12.         serial.device.  Works on UNIX with tty and socket
  13.         devices.  Achieves better than 95% average throughput
  14.         on file transfers.  This is version 2.0, an update to
  15.         version 1.20 released on disk 145.  Includes sources
  16.         for both the Amiga and Unix versions.

  27. AllocMaster    Allocmaster is a program inspired by Nick Sullivan's
  28.         "Reserve" article in Amiga Transactor, for controlling
  29.         the amount of both Chip and Fast memory available to
  30.         the rest of the system.  It is very useful for testing
  31.         applications in low-memory situations.  It also has
  32.         a snapshot feature to report differences in available
  33.         memory before and after running an application.  Version
  34.         1.17, binary only.

  37. ANSIEd        Demo version of an ANSI screen file editor.  It allows you
  38.         to easily create and modify a screen of ANSI-style
  39.         text/graphics on the Amiga.  The standard ANSI color set
  40.         (red, green, yellow, blue, magenta, cyan, white) and text
  41.         styles (plain, boldface, underlined, italic) are provided,
  42.         along with some simple editing and drawing functions.  This
  43.         demo version has the save features disabled. Version 1.2.0aD,

  87.         on a monitor or sent to a graphics file for subsequent

  97. Csh        Version 3.03a of a csh like shell derived from Matt
  98.         Dillon's shell, version 2.07.  This is an update to the
  99.         version on disk 199.  Includes a couple of new filter
  100.         commands, new dir option, new editing options, sourcing
  101.         of a standard startup file, and some bug fixes.  Includes
  102.         source.

  105. FixDisk        A program to recover as much as possible from a defective
  106.         disk.  It can sometimes recover damaged (unreadable)
  107.         tracks, check file integrity, check the directory 
  108.         structure, undelete files, copy or show files, fix
  109.         corrupted directory pointers, etc.  Full intuition
  110.         interface.  Version 1.0, binary only.

  112.  
  113. GravSim        A program to animate up to 6 planetary masses, all of
  114.         which exert a mutual gravitational force on each other.
  115.         The planetary masses can be placed anywhere on the screen,
  116.         and their mass and initial velocity can be determined by
  117.         the user.  The program then steps the animation through
  118.         time, plotting and displaying the new position in the
  119.         trajectory of each mass.  Version 1.50, includes source.

  122. Iff2Sun        A small utility for those of you who may have access to a 
  123.         Sun workstation.  Takes an Amiga IFF file and converts it to
  124.         a Sun rasterfile format.  This version is an update to the
  125.         version released on disk 174, with better parsing, support
  126.         for HAM mode, and some bug fixes.  Source only, as the
  127.         program needs to be re-compiled and run from a Sun.

  130. IFFtoSUN    This program takes a standard IFF format image and trans-
  131.         lates it into a SUN rasterfile format, like the Iff2Sun
  132.         program also on this disk.  However, this one runs on the

  136. Paccer        A pacman clone with sound and a game screen editor. This
  137.         is version 1.0, shareware, binary only.

  140. PopInfo        A small utility which "pops open" to give you information

  142.         version 3.0, an update to the version on disk 204.

  146. SetCPU        A program designed to allow the user to detect and modify
  147.         various parameters related to 32 bit CPUs.  Includes
  148.         commands to enable or disable the text/data caches,
  149.         switch on or off the '030 burst cache line fill request,
  150.         use the MMU to run a ROM image from 32-bit memory, and
  151.         to report various parameters when called from a script.

  163.         25 lines of 80 characters just like an old fashioned non-
  164.         windowing computer, the answer is here.  CLImax creates a
  165.         borderless backdrop CLI window on a custom screen.  Also
  166.         thrown in is MoveSys, which reassigns SYS:, C:, S:, L:,
  167.         DEVS:, LIBS:, and FONTS: to a new volume with one simple
  168.         "pure" command.  Includes source.

  171. KickMem        A program for A1000 hardware hackers that have done the
  172.         Amazing Computing 512K upgrade.  KickMem will patch your
  173.         1.2 or 1.3 kickstart disk to perform addmem during
  174.         kickstart.  This allows warm boot surviveability of ram
  175.         disk devices and eliminates addmem commands from your
  176.         startup sequence.  Version 2.0, includes source.

  179. MoreIsBetter    These two hacks make MORE more useful.  One is called V;
  180.         it's a small "pure" CLI command that acts as a front end
  181.         for More, causing it to create its own window.  Make V and
  182.         More both resident!  The other is Fenestrate, which
  183.         surgically alters the CON: window spec inside More enabling
  184.         it to, for instance, use ConMan features to create a
  185.         borderless window on the topmost screen (very useful with
  186.         CLImax).  Includes source.

  190.         a trail of hearts through a world of 20 levels, riddled

  202. Xebec        A couple of hacks to make life easier for those who have
  203.         Xebec hard disks.  One makes it more possible to Mount a

  218.         Macintosh, and the Amiga.  Includes source.

  221. MyMenu        This program allows you to add your own menus to the

  234. Vlt        VLT is both a VT100 emulator and a Tektronix (4014 plus
  235.         subset of 4105) emulator, currently in use at SLAC
  236.         (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center).  Although the VT100
  237.         part was originally based on Dave Wecker et al.'s VT100,
  238.         many enhancements were made. The program requires ARP, and
  239.         it has an ARexx port.  XMODEM 1K/CRC and Kermit protocol
  240.         support also included.  This is version 4.036, with many
  241.         enhancements over the previous version, 3.656, included
  242.         on disk 202.  New features include support for other serial
  243.         ports, external file transfer protocols, and "chat" mode.
  244.         Improved behavior on the Workbench.  Tektronix emulation
  245.         now allows saving IFF files, PostScript files, and
  246.         printing bitmaps to the printer.  Many other enhancements

  256. MidiLib        A disk based library that permits sharing of the serial
  257.         port by MIDI applications through a MIDI message routing
  258.         and processing system.  The midi utilities include a midi
  259.         monitor to display incoming midi messages to the console,
  260.         a routing utility, a midi library status utility, and more.
  261.         This is version 2.0, an update to the version released on
  262.         disk 101, and includes significant speed enhancements, new
  263.         utilities to play with MIDI files, and updated utilities,
  264.         documentation and examples.  Binary only (source for
  265.         examples and bindings however).

  268. PickPacket    PickPacket gives you a visual display of the DosPacket
  269.         structures that are sent to handlers, and lets you see 
  270.         the results.  You can actually perform handler operations

  273.         system handler involved using PickPacket.  Version 1.0,

  277. RexxArpLib    A library which originally was supposed to be an ARexx
  278.         interface to the ARP library.  However, it has also become
  279.         an interface to various Intuition functions, containing over

  282.         window, wildcard expander, etc.  This is version 2.3, an
  283.         update to version 2.0 on disk 178.  Binary only.

  306. JazzBench    A drop-in multitasking replacement for WorkBench.  It
  307.         has more features that WorkBench and is fully multitasking

  310.         version 0.8, binary only.

  313. Xoper        Very comprehensive program to monitor and control system 
  314.         activity.  Monitor cpu, memory usage, ports, interrupts,
  315.         devices.  Close windows, screens, show loaded fonts or last
  316.         Guru code number.  Clean up memory, flush unused libraries,
  317.         devices, fonts. etc. and a whole bunch more!  Spawns its own
  318.         process.  A very handy background task to have loaded.
