  9. This is a summary of the products carried by Amiga Library Services.

  16. With new releases approximately every two months, the FreshFish CD-ROM is
  17. designed to meet the needs of users who want copies of new releases of
  18. material as soon as practical with a CD-ROM distribution.  Now a 2-CD set,
  19. the FreshFish CD's are compilations of the newest programs, libraries,
  20. documentation, animations, pictures, etc, in both archived and unarchived
  21. (ready to run) form.

  23. A unique feature of this CD is the extensive set of GNU and non-GNU
  24. utilities that are included, all with full source and binaries built
  25. directly from that source, that are ready to run directly off the CD without
  26. having to consume hundreds of megabytes of precious disk space to install
  27. them.

  35. The GoldFish CD-ROM series collects material from previous floppy or CD-ROM
  36. distributions about every six months.  It is intended to meet the needs of
  37. users that do not require frequent updates of newly released material.

  39. GoldFish Volume 1, a 2-CD set released in April of 1994, provides a complete
  40. archive of the 1000 "fish disk" floppy library, with all the disks provided
  41. in both archived and ready-to-run form.  It can be used to produce master
  42. floppy disks for further duplication and distribution, using a simple to use
  43. program that is provided on the CD-ROM.  BBS or anonymous ftp sites can use
  44. it to provide convenient electronic access to all the material from the
  45. floppy library.

  47. GoldFish Volume 2, a 2-CD set released in December of 1994, includes all the
  48. new submissions included on the first 7 volumes of the FreshFish CD series,
  49. with all the material updated to the latest available version as of the date
  50. of completion of the CD.  As with Volume 1, all of the material is included
  51. in both archived and unarchived form.  It also includes the latest versions
  52. of the "useful tools" included on each FreshFish CD, such as the GNU
  53. utilities, reviews of hardware and software, etc.

  61. By popular demand from BBS operators that use IBM-PC systems, we have
  62. produced a special edition of the April 1994 FrozenFish CD that contains all
  63. 1000 "fish disks" archived on a per-disk basis, as well as other interesting
  64. material from the latest FreshFish and GoldFish series.  This is a
  65. multi-platform CD that is fully readable on all systems, including Amiga,
  66. MS-DOS, Windows, OS/2, Mac, and UNIX.  Each directory contains a standard
  67. "FILES.BBS" file that BBS programs can use to provide user access to
  68. material on the CD-ROM.

  76. This "CD-ROM for Lightwave artists", updated every 6 months, gives you
  77. access to all of the great freely distributable Lightwave objects, scene
  78. files, textures, images, etc. from Lightwave BBS's and ftp sites around the
  79. world.  LIGHT-ROM also includes an exclusive "Showcase" directory, where
  80. Lightwave artists from around the world advertise their skills and services
  81. to the Lightwave community and potential employers.  All Lightwave objects,
  82. textures, and images are represented with thumbnail renderings for easy
  83. previewing.  This multi-platform CD-ROM is ready for the Windows NT, SGI and
  84. Alpha versions of Lightwave due in '95 and can be read on these platforms
  85. today.

  90. TEXTURE GALLERY

  93. Texture Gallery is a 2 CD-ROM set containing over 1.3 gigabytes of textures
  94. designed for graphic artists on any computer platform.  It contains almost
  95. 1000 different textures in 6 different file formats; IFF, TIFF, TARGA, JPEG,
  96. SGI and PICT.  All the textures on Texture Gallery are represented with
  97. thumbnail renderings for easy previewing.  The categories of textures on
  98. Texture Gallery include; Brick, Concrete, Fabric, Fire, Marble, Metal, Rock,
  99. Skin, Wood and many others!  Texture Gallery is a multi-platform CD-ROM that
  100. can be read from Amiga, Mac, PC and SGI platforms.  The textures are perfect
  101. for use with 3D programs like Lightwave 3D and can be used to create bump
  102. maps.  The textures included on Texture Gallery are not duplicated on
  103. LIGHT-ROM.

  111. Aminet is the world's largest collection of freely distributable Amiga
  112. software.  Up to 10,000 users access the vast archives every day and
  113. countless programmers publish directly via Aminet.  A wide variety of
  114. programs is included: applications, games, demos, pictures, mods,
  115. animations, developer material, networking software, programming languages,
  116. and more.  Until recently, access to Aminet was restricted to international
  117. network users.  Only 3 years after its inception, Aminet now holds the
  118. equivalent of more than 4,000 floppy disks of software.  User friendly
  119. access software makes the aminet CD's a pleasure to use.

  121. Aminet Set 1, the first "complete" Aminet archive on CD, consists of
  122. approximately 4 gigabytes of software in 12,500 archives.  This 4-CD set,
  123. which is dated January 1995, offers an almost inexhaustible reservoir of top
  124. value shareware.

  126. There are also quarterly releases of selected portions of the aminet files.
  127. Aminet Volume 5, dated March 1995, consists of approximately 1.1 gigabytes
  128. of software in 3,600 archives.  Volume 5 has a special focus on games; more
  129. than 1000 games from Aminet were included.  One year subscriptions to the
  130. Aminet series are available.  There are expected to be four releases per
  131. year, so the subscription is actually for 4 CD's, regardless of when they
  132. end up shipping.

  141. Meeting Pearls volume 1 contains about 150 high quality and high resolution
  142. fractals, a ready to run version of PasTeX which includes fonts for FAX and
  143. 600 dpi printers, a ready to install version of the Amiga NetBSD port, and
  144. many other ready to run applications including UMS, DaggeX, a lot of
  145. utilities, games, etc.

  148. software and has a special user interface which has been created to allow
  149. you to find the program of your choice with ease.  The contents include 35

  170. FreshFonts volume 1 contains 620 megabytes of freely distributable fonts for
  171. the Amiga, IBM-PC, and Macintosh, and some sample programs using the fonts.
  172. There are a total of 200 font families in six different classes: Deco (71
  173. fonts), Non-Latin (31 fonts), Pictures (17 fonts), Serif (23 fonts), Sans
  174. Serif (31 fonts), Script (27 fonts).  Each of these fonts is included in
  175. five different formats; DMF, IntelliFont, Amiga Bitmap, Adobe, and TrueType.
  176. All fonts are documented by AmigaGuide and HTML files, which not only
  177. include information about the font and the author, but also a preview
  178. picture of the font.

  180. FreshFonts volume 2 contains 632 megabytes of fonts for almost any computer
  181. system.  Most of the fonts are freely distributable, except for the Thienen
  182. fonts, which are exclusive on this CD.  Each of these fonts is included in
