  1. This directory contains a database of most material on this CD-ROM.
  2. To use it, click on the "FreshFish-Vol8" icon and then use appropriate
  3. keyword patterns to find the material you are interested in.
  4.  
  5. As an example, the keyword "FreshFish-Vol8-1" will find every single
  6. "product" for which there is a Product-Info file on the first volume
  7. of this CD-ROM.  The keyword "UChess*" will locate versions of the
  8. port of GNU chess on either volume.

  10. The database is generated automatically by using "pitool" to find all
  11. product info files on the CD-ROM.  Then "pi2loaddb" converts the
  12. accumulated product info information into a form that LoadDB
  13. understands.  Finally, LoadDB is run to generate the database.  See
  14. the "Makefile" file for details.
