  9. All original directories and files are left unchanged from the official
  10. distribuition, except for the following files:

  12.     makeindex-2.12/src/makefile.ami
  13.     makeindex-2.12/src/makeindex
  14.     makeindex-2.12/src/mkind.c
  15.     makeindex-2.12/src/mkind.h
  16.     makeindex-2.12/test/makefile.ami
  17.  
  18. All Amiga changes are enclosed in #if OS_AMIGA ... #endif pairs.
  19. This port has passed all the test files in the 'test' directory.
  20.  
  21. Installation
  22. ------------
  23. To install makeindex, copy the file 'makeindex-2.12/src/makeindex' to
  24. the TeX commands directory (e.g., TeX:bin).
  25.  
  26. You may also copy the doc files 'makeindex-2.12/doc/makeindex.dvi'
  27. and 'makeindex-2.12/doc/manpages.dvi' to a directory where you keep
  28. the doc dvi files (e.g., TeX:doc)
  29.  
  30. Finally you can set the environment variable INDEXSTYLE with the
  31. path for the index styles. E.g.:
  32.  
  33.     setenv INDEXSTYLE .,TeX:texinputs/idxstyles,TeX:texinputs
  34.  
  35. The path you specify in this environment variable follows this rules:
  36.  
  37.     - a period "." indicates current directory.
  38.     - a comma "," is the paths separator.
  39.  
  40. If the env var INDEXSTYLE isn't setted, makeindex search the index styles
  41. in the current directory.
