  41.     Pond is back!  This time, evil thieves have stolen all the toys from
  42. The Toy Factory, and carried them away.  So James must recover them - from
  43. the North Pole!
  44.  
  45.     This is wild and funny - if you like platformers.  James is a nice
  46. (though not furry) thing, and even has special equipment for this mission.
  47. There's a huge castle with dozens of rooms (levels) that James must run
  48. through, jumping, avoiding pikes and other "bad things" and collecting lots
  49. of bonuses.

  51.     JP2 has three major points:
  52.  
  53.     o    The graphics are great for a platformer:  background coppers
  54.         and colourful backgrounds.
  55.  
  56.     o    Playability is quite good
  57.  
  58.     o    The sound is GREAT! James' audio is possibly best I've heard
  59.         in any game. It comes from CD, so quality is naturally
  60.         CD-quality, and also the music is GOOD!  Great going!
  61.         Without this music, JP2 would be only "above average", but
  62.         now - it adds huge amount of gameplay.

  64.     As an added bonus, the game contains an excellent intro animation and
  65. advertisement for next James Pond-game.  I think somebody from Millennium
  66. mentioned somewhere that those animations cost around 40.000 pounds!

  68.     Music makes a game - this doesn't happen too often (anybody remember
  69. Cybernoid/Cybernoid II?), but it's real this time.  You could even listen
  70. this music while reading a book.

  76.     A great platformer!  Well, the floppy version was anyway ;). This
  77. version is Robocod AGA with CD soundtracks throughout the game.  The graphics
  78. are just as bouncy and cute as the original - but I would say that with a
  79. better controller, this would be better! The CD soundtrack pushes this
  80. platformer above any other current one - they really are great and take me
  81. back to the days when we used to have quality music in a game (e.g., Last Ninga
  82. or Sanxion on the C64).

  84.     There are many other great features; e.g., I loved the cartoon that
  85. can be selected from the menu too (a trailer for James Pond III - Operation
  86. Starfish) - it certainly impressed some friends!

  88.     Features: "mpeg" cartoon.  The cheat has been removed - its a new
  89. one.  ;)
